Wonderful review 👏 Steve. Id love this bike because it appears to be extremely manageable compared to the older, bigger 1200 and 1250. It is of course, very capable of being the perfect bike for all types of riding, easy in traffic, perfect for off road and with a few simple mods, a perfect touring bike. I think BMW seen you coming 😊 offering you this. Fantastic video , my wife and l are big fans of your channel. Cheers 🍻
I have a tiger rally pro 900 and love it that 900 would be the only bike I would change it for not a 1250 or the 1300 it’s lighter and more manoeuvrable than a bigger bike in my opinion keep up the great vids mate👍
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video - the quick shifter seems like a game changer - I just keep forgetting to use it when riding a bike with one fitted! 😂
Love it my next bike maybe or T7 so get on it 😊I can’t test ride at the moment sight problems getting sorted so I would love your opinion on the T7 .I was surprised by your opinion at the end “i would have one “.good enough for me pending T7 review 😊
Thanks Peter, I’m certainly no expert but I think a T7 or the 900 GS would both make excellent off-road adventure bikes as well as good tourers with good soft luggage… Thanks for watching! 😊
Enjoyed the review, Steve. I like most things about this motorcycle, but I think BMW could have put a few more liters of fuel capacity on this bike. I noticed in the BMW configurator that you can add side cases to this bike as well. I’m not sure how good it would be as a touring bike, but it’s nice to be able to add.
That’s interesting, when I took the bike out shortly after the launch, the sales person said there weren’t any luggage options - I think it would be a worthy touring consideration with some decent luggage. And yes, a larger capacity tank would be good (I guess the adventure version will have that). Thanks for watching Paul! 😁
Hi Steve. Great little review. There's lots of new bikes I like out there but cant justify the cost.. I'm a Triumph fan though. I'm sticking to my 20yr old Tiger 955 . Maybe one day I'll have a Tiger Rally pro 900 if my lottery numbers come in 😊
Hi Dan, thanks, glad you liked the review. There definitely is a plethora of choice these days and most are very nice bikes. I always had a soft spot for those old Tigers and back in another life when I was involved in the family engineering business, we were quite involved with the development of various bits of tooling for them… 🙂
Really. That's interesting. So I'll know where to come if I need any special tools for jobs on the big lad. I'm an old school mechanic so I prefer older bikes as I enjoy getting stuff done myself. I also have a friend who actually built my bike at the Hinckley factory and still builds the new Tigers so this is very handy 👌. Looking forward to the enduro build that you'll be doing in future vlogs. Ohh and the tours of course 😊
Enjoyed the review, Steve. I like most things about this motorcycle. However, the fuel tank is too small in my opinion. They could’ve bumped it up a few liters. I noticed on the BMW configurator that you can add their mount and side cases to this motorcycle.
Nice "hands-on" review Steve, from a riders perspective . I'd never had a quickshifter before I got my Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer. I don't think i could do without one now as they are excellent!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The little experience I have with quick shifters shows me I need to retrofit one to my bike… it would be a game changer! 🙂
Well done Steve , nice review , first sore one of these when they were launched at Vines in Guilford couldn't take to the colour but it's beginning to grow on me . Unfortunately at 5' 6 " it's a bit tall I reckon .😩
Thanks Chris, I really liked it (the colour too!) but at 5’10” it was on the cusp of being too tall for me. I like the lowered suspension set up on my GSA! 😁
I had the f900xr and I sold it for two reasons. The bike looked really small and most importantly the noise of the engine… not the exhaust… the engine. I could t bear to hear it!!! Sounded like it was going to break any moment!! I hate it. I love the looks of the bike but I feel it is as short as the Xr and the engine noise I hear from the video is the same 😢
As much as I enjoy your channel and your videos, I wish you’d concentrate on the riding as well. You were doing 17 mph in a 60 at one point and had a car right up your chuff at one point. I also noticed similar riding on your Italy trip, riding the wrong way down one way streets, ignoring traffic lights, stop signs, give ways, one way signs and questionable road positioning. If you only have a pound to spend on your ride, you’re spending far too much on concentrating on film making and leaving very little on the quality of your ride. If you haven’t done so, I would highly recommend doing an advanced riding course with the IAM, it would make a great series of films and would definitely improve your riding and confidence, especially in corners.

Hi Mike, I’m so glad you both enjoy my channel. Yes, I think BMW knew exactly what to give me! Definitely a bike I could live with 😁
Hi mate, great video and well presented.
Thank you my friend! 😁
Great informal rider review. Very helpful... I'm thinking hard about mid adventure bikes and this one is def on my short list. Well done.
Thank you, glad you found it useful!
Same as agree

So glad you’re enjoying my videos! Yes, I could quite happily see myself on that 900 as a first bike… 😁
Great vid Steve, as always. Looks like a good bike, like the idea of a quick shifter never tried one, ride safe, keep vids coming . Thanks

That was a nice review. I hope it wasn't too painful, giving it back
Thank you! I must admit it stung a bit handing it back…. 😂

Nice one test ride that as well as others

Your gsa is the same model as mine and should be fitted with a quick shifter it’s worth a check
I will definitely be looking in to it at some point, it would be a game changer for me 🙂
I was told it was fitted as standard from 2015 onwards 👍
I will look into this!! 👍

On nice Steve, I haven't ridden this onre yet
I think you’d love it Arch… it’s a cracking bike!

Do you live Northampton as I see you was in Wollaston bmw Northampton just down the road from me
Hi there, no I don’t live in Northampton but I used to many years ago! Wollaston is just about the closest BMW Motorrad dealership to me though 🙂
