Sorry, this comment is going to seem kind of complacent. I only leave it up under the idea of pointing out a few issues I had with the review video and so the comment section isn't one big echo chamber of agreement. If you're easily angered by dissenting opinions, then don't read this. I have NOT played Resident Evil Zero, but I have played the original Resident Evil. If you don't agree with anything I type down, that's fine but I want to have these points here It seems like a lot of these complaints, besides controlling 2 people at once, could be set up against Resident Evil 1 or the REmake respectively. Enemies appearing without any buildup can include Dogs, Spiders, Crows, Plant Boss, Sharks, most of the Zombies (only 2 have build up), etc. Some of those enemies have buildup only in left over notes, not on screen buildup like with the first zombie you see in RE1. It seems very possible to feel cut off from the world and isolated when you're trapped on a moving train. Not being able to get off and trapped with monsters everywhere seems pretty isolating to me. If the issue is a lot of backtracking, I can understand that as you go through what is essentially 1 hallway with small branching paths. But then again you had to do a lot of backtracking in RE1 to reach goals and investigate areas. 11:45 There are corners on the train. They're showed in the video as their non-existence is talked about. You say there's too much variety? Variety hasn't been known to be by default a bad thing in a game. It's bad when the variety makes it so the game lacks focus and no one element of the game seems polished. Is that what was meant? They repeat the RE1 mansion in other RE games. Again, sorry if this gets anyone angry, but a lot of this video seems very subjective and downplays what could actually be scary to someone else. I may have to play the game to get a better idea of what the video actually means. I didn't get the idea that this is a terrible game (at least the train portion) from watching the video. It just became more like how everyone remembers it after the train portion is over. Maybe all the issues are actually valid, they could have just been communicated better. Keep going Caddi, I do still enjoy watching your videos. Can't please everyone all the time I guess.
I was typing up my own comment along the same lines when I saw yours. I pretty much agree. I think they're reaching to sound insightful with a lot of this. Since when has subtlety ever been a word associated with RE? Yeah, that first zombie encounter is iconic, but come on. It's also surrounded in the original by the cheesiest possible voice acting and comes after a laughable live action introduction. This series is B-movie horror compared to franchises like Silent Hill and Fatal Frame. The REmake is probably the closest to going for a genuinely dark and serious tone, and Zero is the closest to that. I also think the train is a great setting. It's a confined space that you can't easily get away from and you're trapped in it with zombies. How is that not a good setup for horror? I was disappointed more wasn't done with it, honestly. And how is a giant scorpion objectively any worse than a giant spider, a killer plant, or anything else in RE1? Also, ridiculously theatrical over the top villains are par for the course in RE. Code Veronica's twins come to mind. I think Zero is a good entry in the classic-style RE series. Maybe not my favorite, but yeah, a lot of these criticisms can be applied to the rest of them too.
The funny part is that I think Caddy liked the game regardless of it's flaws. Jordan however pissed allover it. It was a rather... odd contrast between reviewers which makes the review a little weird.
Don't worry! You don't sound angry - this is what the comments are for - discussion. It's only mine and Jordan's opinion, at the end of the day! I'll try my hardest to explain more to what I personally think on each of your points: As far as buildup goes - in other classic RE games, you often see glimpses of the enemy before encountering them. Or characters talk about them for a while before they show up. RE0 literally throws everything it can at you in the train portion with NO surprises or carefully placed scares - it's a shooting gallery. In the mansions, you're in a forest. A forest you know is full of unspeakable evil - everywhere - half the time, that's why the characters enter them - to escape the monsters completely surrounding them. No matter what they do inside the mansion, they know something else could appear from outside any moment. Even the Police Station in RE2 and 3 was like that. As far as a moving train goes, once you've dispatched everything, nothing else could possibly surprise you. And the fact you're constantly moving makes you feel like you're escaping your own doom in the forest instead of being stuck in it. Yeah, that was a vague point - I apologise. I meant more than the layout of the train itself is REALLY straight, and even if there ARE corners, what's around them can't possibly fit there because of how thin the train is - the corners don't need to be there at all. Variety hasn't ALWAYS shown to be a good thing - especially with horror. In Alien: Isolation, for example, I felt more fear evading 1 alien, humans and synthetics - 3 enemy types. In this game, you have zombies, dogs, leeches, scorpions, large insects, centipedes, spiders, leech man, hunters....and they're all thrown into your face with no subtlety - like recent Resi has shown to do. Sure, it's surprising and keeps you on your toes, but when you have all that ammo to take these things down, nothing feels like a major threat. I suppose the setting is, yes, but RE0's training facility is EXACTLY the same (more or less, visually) as the RE1 mansion. It seemed a bit lazy. Yeah, hope that cleared up a little more! Can't ramble in a video forever, haha. Thanks for the comment - hope I explained myself a bit better! :-D
Caddicarus Hey, thanks for addressing these comments. I still don't quite agree about the subtlety or the setting, but that just comes down to personal preference. Still enjoyed the video though. Really the part that bugged me was when Jordan used a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine to illustrate his argument. I've always hated that damn train..
You have a typo on your "I hope this is not Chris's blood" It should be Chris', not Chris's. And I bet I'll get now a ton of people agreeing with me and calling me a good person, and NOT screaming I'm awful for saying there's anything wrong with your stuff. Totally. Yup.
Err, the sad part is, I actually do enjoy RE6, I mean, let's be honest here, Capcom isn't the same anymore, we may as well enjoy SOMETHING out of their library, I know that RE6 isn't really like Resident Evil what-so-ever, but I honestly do NOT mind that, I accepted the fact long ago that games change, and we must learn to adapt to a degree in any case. (Though don't get me wrong, if they returned it back to survival horror, I'd be so fucking happy like a pepperoni on a pizza). And yes, while I do enjoy the new Resident Evils, I still love the old classics, not to mention how awesome Resident Evil Outbreak 1 and 2 is. While it is a damn shame that Capcom has changed and the old guys are no longer working on the series, I'll still like the games. But there's one thing I DO NOT like about the new Resident Evils... Disc-Locked-Content... Fuck that shit.
***** i also loved it (to a comment half a year ago), people hate it because it isnt a horro game, but its not really trying to be anymore, its good for what it is and that shooting and moving gameplay is just so much fun and appreciated
awww come on you guys. I like billy as a character, and I loved having two characters. For ripping on the team splitting up in the very beginning, I'd think you'd like that two characters at least decide to stick together XP
Hatty Hattington can i have your hat (you know the evil black top hat that drove you to throw me in A FUCKING PRISON WERE YOU SAW ME AND HAD THE POWER TO HELP ME BUT YOU DIDNTASUPOAAHDAFABAJ)
Personally, I think the train is one of the big highlights of RE0 ... so unlike the boring, great mansion afterwards, which we have seen over and over again in all the other games. In this respect you're nitpicking a little too much. And you can't expect every Resident Evil to introduce every monster with a Silent Hill like subtleness, you know? After the first games we know what zombies are like. I do agree, however, with you on the two characters issue and the lack of horror that results from it.
I love how the "we were reviewing resi... 7?" joke works all the better now as it does actually exist. But it still worked at the time of the video's release. just a good joke
I am on a Resident Evil Caddy binge!!! Just saw the "unlabeled" RE game Umbrella Corps review then saw Resident Evil: Survivor and now I'm watching this again!!
This game truly is an underrated gem. As said in the video, the game has a strong atmosphere complimented by the amazing soundtrack. The backgrounds are just stunning and hold up very well. It brought some interesting new elements to the series. I personally liked the inventory and partner systems as well as the dynamic between Rebecca and Billy. This was the last good Resident Evil game. It's such a shame the series has gone downhill.
18:05 did they even play as Chris Redfield in the first game? Rebecca Chambers ends up in the mansion and she helps you out and you even play as her temporarily if you play the game a certain way. Although I do see where they are coming from with Billys character.
Heck yeah! my 3rd favorite you tuber! this was a superb video! (I hope it was the one Jordan has been working on for 4 month's because I'd love to see him come back) but great video and interactions this hit a lot of bones for me especially the funny bone with all of Jordan's parts and the voodoo doll part did have a sort of creepy atheistic. I loved this video and will come back to watch it again and again.
Thank you for saying this. If we are judging based on expectations that comes with the original intent of the series, then no, it falls flat in almost every aspect. But since 5 already marked quite a deviation from said concept, why all the hate? Looking at RE6 as a standalone game, while there are some flaws -like overlapping segments meaning you've to play the same scenario over and over again-, I felt like it had a good pace to it, and shooting is pretty sweet. Each story had a different feel (i.e. atmosphere, pace) go it, and although some may seem a little odd for a survival horror game, they do fit the setting of each story. And hey, how can you not like a smarter AI? (vs. 5 that is) Personally, I've stopped wanting RE to be a survival horror game since 5, and looking at 6 in a more action light, I honestly don't think it's that bad. The virus is now spreading on a larger scale, and with all the chaos about, it's not exactly easy to just move the story into a single set location with a bit more plausibility. Besides the game itself, the industry is evolving, and sticking to a pure horror niche isn't the best business decision for Capcom. Tough luck, but at least the game wasn't horrendously made, and it still followed a pretty plausible (for such lore) tangent along the storyline. Sure, it's no Amensia or The Evil Within, but I don't think it deserves all the bashing the Internet has given it.
celticheavens It's not a bad game but it's not a scary game either. I played some of it and at no point did i realise it was supposed to be a horror game.
I loved this game as a kid. I loved all the new features and made the game fun and exciting. It's not as lonely or scary but more so than later entries. Love your guy's opinion and make valid points.
i forgot its popular to dump on re6 even though its not that bad of a game ...im glad that people nowadays can see it for was it is an ambitious action packed diversion on the re franchise and it also had the best game play of ALL re games come on it was like a john woo movie XD

I've always hated that damn train..
shout to everyone still watching these guys in 2022
god dam i don't want to be selfish but I miss the old Jordan like alot
Original title was "Resident Evil Billy - Caddicarus ft. Jordan Underneath"
2020 and still missing jordans reviews
I lost it at "Had you going though, didn't I?"
I had to re-watch the rest of the video I was laughing for so long.
I Wish Jordan would make Game related Videos again His silent Hill Videos are the best Most informative on UA-cam
This vid introduced me to Jordan Underneath. THANK YOU Caddy! :D
9:10 why is the Max Payne theme playing in the background???
THE FUCK WAS THAT JUMP SCARE JORDAN?!
soon
Wasnt that bad...
***** it was for me... I'm easy to scare
+otakuploader 3spooky5me
You have a typo on your "I hope this is not Chris's blood"
It should be Chris', not Chris's.
And I bet I'll get now a ton of people agreeing with me and calling me a good person, and NOT screaming I'm awful for saying there's anything wrong with your stuff. Totally. Yup.
I always learned that when it comes to names that end in s the grammar is ambiguous and really can be spelled either way, it's just up to preference.
^ nice
***** wrong
Grammar class in the comments section of a YT video...
don't see that every day.

DarkSoul712 I do like the looks of the Revelations games and I agree.
***** i also loved it (to a comment half a year ago), people hate it because it isnt a horro game, but its not really trying to be anymore, its good for what it is and that shooting and moving gameplay is just so much fun and appreciated
TheNintendo12 I definitely agree, I enjoy most mechanics of 5 and 6, sure there are some glitches, but I honestly could care less.
How’s that happy pizza treatin’ ya?
My absolute favorite collab!
awww come on you guys. I like billy as a character, and I loved having two characters. For ripping on the team splitting up in the very beginning, I'd think you'd like that two characters at least decide to stick together XP
The intro to this vid had me cackling, love this collab to pieces.
Why the hell is the still at 12:38 not the thumbnail for this video? OR ALL VIDEOS?!
Your right, that should have been the thumbnail. XD
Better yet, 2:58
Hatty Hattington can i have your hat (you know the evil black top hat that drove you to throw me in A FUCKING PRISON WERE YOU SAW ME AND HAD THE POWER TO HELP ME BUT YOU DIDNTASUPOAAHDAFABAJ)
Dear Caddy, the moment when you were a rapper was awesome, you made my day! thank you for a great video!
Now thats 21th century-youtube-humor at its best! Love it!
I looked at Jordan’s channel now and all of his old video game reviews are gone.
I love how the "we were reviewing resi... 7?" joke works all the better now as it does actually exist. But it still worked at the time of the video's release. just a good joke
Jordan has amazing facial structure
What a bizarre think to say.
Macaroni and Cliches Agreed
Yeah, actually it's rectangular as fuck
Narcissism Incarnate I feel like I've heard Jojo say that before he went on an adventure
werid comment
I'm so glad someone talked about this game! (by the way, it's for the wii as well)
DAT SHIRT DOE !

Whenever I hear that Abe's Oddysee sound, I get a little bit more in touch with my inner child.
"This is RuptureFarms..."
Remember when Jordan made videos about video games?
I wasn't even trying to find this video, yet I find it to watch it exactly four years later
THAT JUMPSCARE KILLED ME
That pick up & drop sound effect tho 😂 I just about caught an asthma attack from laughing.
Oh nice! I like the Clock Tower music you used in the vid ;-).
I am on a Resident Evil Caddy binge!!! Just saw the "unlabeled" RE game Umbrella Corps review then saw Resident Evil: Survivor and now I'm watching this again!!
i like how he put PBG in the tags for the video lol
tgg1217 where was this?
in the tags for the video
tgg1217 Oh sorry, it was 2:00 AM when I read that so I wasn't paying attention.
THAT BROOM'S A SPY!!!
AND BY THAT I MEAN ITS A ROOMBA!!!
It's rare to have someone with a style just as crazy as Caddicarus.
I guess
I thought Resident Evil 6 was so bad that it was actually kind of good. It's a weird guilty pleasure.
18:05 did they even play as Chris Redfield in the first game? Rebecca Chambers ends up in the mansion and she helps you out and you even play as her temporarily if you play the game a certain way. Although I do see where they are coming from with Billys character.
good thing he didnt wait a year to make that top 10...... just most of a year!
I waited for this crossover for quite awhile, I was not disappointed. ^^
You should review The Overlord games. They're all pretty good for a laugh
Heck yeah! my 3rd favorite you tuber! this was a superb video!
Man, his older videos were so much better.
You mean Caddicarus or Jordan?
vid back comments then: people having fun
Vid comments now: Jordan doesn't upload that much and his old content is hard to find.
I don't think RE6 is a bad game. It's just nothing like the old re games so people say it's bad. Defiantly not a 10/10 but still
It's pretty mediocre...
It also has a women blowing a giraffe on the front.
Defiantly?
I loved this game as a kid. I loved all the new features and made the game fun and exciting. It's not as lonely or scary but more so than later entries. Love your guy's opinion and make valid points.
That's some sexy camera work
i forgot its popular to dump on re6 even though its not that bad of a game ...im glad that people nowadays can see it for was it is an ambitious action packed diversion on the re franchise and it also had the best game play of ALL re games come on it was like a john woo movie XD
Wasn't alone in the dark the first to make survival horror and to use static cameras?
Yes indeed. Then the original Resident Evil took that idea and improved upon it Over 9000-fold.
HOCKFIN Sweet Home? static cameras? have you played it?
Yeah. Resi1 Is actually a ripoff of Alone in the Dark with zambambos.
i love resident evil, just let me save anytime anywhere and i'll stay glued.
"I got no heeeead'
First off I gotta say, HAHAHA That jumpscare didn't even make me flinch xP Anyway, Caddy you shouldn't feel ashamed for liking (or once liking) RE6 just because everyone else hates it, stick to your guns man :P Thanks for collaborating w/ Jordan Underneath, I never heard of him before this but I love his style and I'll totally check him out!
