Eric D is not only a true OG, he also seems like the most laid-back, down to earth guy. He killed it in his younger years and he’s an even bigger inspiration to us older cats today. Hats off.
He really is, I've met him a couple times and each time, he was always down to kick it and talk about old parts and new skaters that he liked and told me about

I was lucky enough to meet him in his prime in the late 80s at a skate demo in San Antonio he signed my Bill Danforth deck. But like a little dingleshit I ended up losing it.

Such a classic part!! We used to try and copy that first hill run here in Norway, sliding around bombing hills - Still got my Dressen Everslick rolling around in the office, with some Gizmo wheels and Indy’s :D

Besides Gonz, Eric Dressen was my favorite skater back in those days. I would ride fast in ditches,bomb and powerslide hills in Diego. SKYLINE!!
Eric’s truly one of the Og legends in skateboarding. This part was always my favorite as a kid & watched it over & over, so much style and speed. I always remember watching the different contest videos too with him and remember the one where his board broke in it and he still tried to do tricks on it (forgot the name of that contest) but thank you Eric for skateboarding.

I can’t believe I met Eric last month in April in Japan (Shibuya), and I recognized him. I unconsciously mouthed to myself, “Eric Dressen”!?! He was with his girlfriend and taking a pic with a Japanese fan. When I went up to him and said Eric Dressen!?! He was like yea. 🤯🤯🤯. Been watching this dude rip it since I was 10years old back in the 80’s. Asked to take a pic, and he obliged. Coolest chill dude you’ll meet.
All time fave skater right there. Sucks I’m at work cause that downhill section of his Speed Freaks part always makes me wanna skate.

Dressen is ome of the most UNDERRATED skaters of all time in my humble opinion. Love that dude!
Not underrated. He widely regarded as one of the most influential skaters of all time and has a trick named after him, the salad grind. That's not being underrated, that's being a legend.
@@bombsquid6436 Oh I totally agree with the legend status. I'm riding his rose crew one right now and about to order his Dogtown hands deck. Being 48, I really dig that shape. Check out his new Pup deck. It's got solar activated color in the graphics. Pretty rad.

wow i grew up watching eric and his skating for me to this day never gets old. I even went the extra mile and got the santa cruz dvd boxset (speed freaks, wheels on fire, streets on fire) set and then the reason for living dvd! always have been my go to watch collection! so many amazing memories!
