Dressen was my favorite skater when I was like 9 to 12 years old. There was an everslick ad in Thrasher in like 91ish where he was sliding over the tootsie roll curb gap and I thought it was the coolest ever. Now that I'm older seeing him rip still to this day is the coolest thing.
Dressen is so fuckin mellow man. Absolute legend. I almost like seeing him skate more these days than when he was younger. You can feel the gratitude and joy he gets just from skating a mini ramp or bombing a childhood spot. Great vibes.
Such an awesome part of skateboarding - history and friends you make over the years all from skateboarding!! Love me those Super Juice!! Have a great day everybody :) Cheers Dressen and OJ!
Eric Dressen is skateboarding. Will always be my favorite. Who can say they've skated for everyone from Logan to Santa Cruz. Nobody. It's a great thing he made it out of the drug booze thing. As an older skater seeing dudes like Dressen makes me feel like a slouch, lol.
Jason on Oj's? Everyone should be. I just got a set of Nora's. I tried them on a friend's board and I dug them harrrd Ordered them the next day. Mmmmmm. Getting the Nolan Johnson Scram Lupe ones next!! Big ups
Snap 45 and riding a roskop re issue gull-wing jay Adams and t bone wheels. Super smooth. I started in 85 an I must admit I was a complete h street head. But between speed freaks or bones brigade I always swayed towards the speed freaks ✌️
35 years rolling NZ Thanks E Dressen n Oj's I Once carved a spine out of a larch tree For a local chiropractor For a year of regular adjustments Spine nerve pinch can be relieved this way , osteopath is What's helped me through injuries Slams still hurt, bruises grazes Sprains it's a tolling game Still live for Grinds -Slides n PoP!
Eric is one of the sickest to ever ride the plies. Back in his Alva and Dogtown years, he was one of my Heroes. He still is. I am 50 years old this year, and I have a Brand New Dressen reissue set up for spring.
Well technically he turned pro like at nine, in the late 70s..... didn't work out skating died, but once you're pro, even if it's for like a year or two, can u back to amateur??? He delivered pizzas on a gator board, until people started noticing him again... But dressen is a dogtown boy....( Maybe second gen.).... But he's been at it for a long time... Oh he got into the transworld skating HOF, for the FIRST part of the 80s, Mike McGill got second part of the 80s.... Now if that's a fact....tell me am I lying?🙂👍✌️🤙🙂 I just resaw he's speech... He skated for Alva, when he was 11 also....and it's the vans hof, not transworld skating.
Eric Dressen super chill talented 2nd generation Dogtown was in Skateboarder Magazine Who’s Hot at like 10-12 yrs old! Sobriety and good karma serves him well! After Savannah Slamma 2 he came to Atlanta for a week or two and went skateboarding w us and busted his forehead/eye at a mini ramp we took him to. Thanks for skating w us Eric! Peace
Weird man this popped up...I was staring at my framed issue of thrasher with the robert William's cover, and Eric dressen's name was on the cover....weird man.....
Good stuff. First Dressen part I saw was in the 1984 Clothing video Let it Bleed. He shares a part with Aaron Harrison in that video. I think that's the only VHS skate video I still have. Here's a link to Dressen's part in that: ua-cam.com/video/vE4kihDykx8/v-deo.html His Speed Freaks part is one of my favorite parts from anybody, ever. It's kind of a bummer old classic videos from the 80's weren't available at shops when I started skating. I read about it way before I ever got to see it. Anything from that era I could find in the 00's was gold. Let it Bleed had some really sick 70's-era footage of Alva and and Mike Muir skating bowls. That's such an awesome and forgotten video from the early 00's.
Dressen is the real deal - 40 years in & still a stoked Grom.
That Speed Freaks part still gets regular rotation.
Thanks dude.

Badder than most yet nicer than most. Dressen rules!
Seems your right
I don't think the groms today know what kind of a beast Dressen was. Dude would ride fast with style. Dressen is sick
Weeman in a OJ video!
Dressen is so fuckin mellow man. Absolute legend. I almost like seeing him skate more these days than when he was younger. You can feel the gratitude and joy he gets just from skating a mini ramp or bombing a childhood spot. Great vibes.
Hell yeah dressen is the man, those clips of Weeman were gnarly!!@
Two absolute rulers right there.
You're the man Eric! Stoked to see you still skating and pushing the scene.
If it wasn't for docs like this it would be impossible to still sk8 ...! Thanks :-)
Watching him carve down a hill gets you so fired up
Such an awesome part of skateboarding - history and friends you make over the years all from skateboarding!! Love me those Super Juice!! Have a great day everybody :) Cheers Dressen and OJ!
