Had to rewind after every Haslam trick!! Amazing
More of Haslam just doing his thing please, the man is outstanding.
We couldnt agree more. Its unreal.
Three things about this that I love: Chris Haslam's Tom Knox set up, Chris Haslam skateboarding on this Tom Knox set up, And Andrew still ripping and sounding like he's having the best time of his life! Ok, that's 4 things!
I remember like 10 years ago when you guys used to hang out and skate together all the time. I actually met both of you when I was 16 at El Mirage skatepark and I'm almost 25 now. It's nice seeing you guys skate again
Haslam is that dude! 🤘
I love how the bolt glows at 1:30... I tell you, Chris is a true magician lol
Epic episode. Haslam is so damn good 👍
Crazy to ride those 60mm wheels with no risers! Killing it!
So awesome!!!!! I can never get enough Chris Haslem!
One of my favourite skaters of all time. Fan since Second to None
Heck yes! Yeti spotted! I had that Kendall board before. It was the first old school board I set up and it skated good!
Chris haslam is one of the top 20 of all time on a board
1:30 "We do not have risers on here"
12:52 "No risers!"
15:40 "aaaah wheel bite!!"
Sorrrryyyy 🤣
A simple kickflip to fakie was my favorite of Chris... that episonde was hilarious.
Haslam has such amazing board control!!! And grows the best beard!!!
Just thing how epic this would of been if Knox came and Kendall put down an Indy ad and came out... Two things we need...1. The Vets that rep these coming out and testing...2. a Malba and a Toyoda Reissue!
Shout out to old school shape decks. It's just cooler doing the same tricks with them. It just is! 15:56 was rad as Fuuuu
In my day we called it "one-foot ollie a la Allen" (Ron Allen)
SLIMEBALLS FOREVER!! Some of the best skate wheels ever made. The way the scream!!
And the complex concaves in those old boards, as Haslam noted. What we called "spoon noses" too, which were exactly what you're imagining they are.
Haslam is a magician!
Andrew rockin that Turnstile T. 🤙🏻
Let’s also not forget that tribute shot with Drain a few years back.
Santa Cruz knows what’s up!
Used to have the Knox, amazing to see Chris putting it to such good use.
fav product video so far. Chris Haslam quarter pipe sesh was super sick.
Loving today’s episode 🎉
Haslam's fingerflip was amazing!
THANK YOU!! I've been trying to explain this to people for YEARS and years.
~14:21 - "Ya know what's crazy is normal ollies don't feel that different, but switch ollies feel different."
The same applies to fakie tricks. The nose and tail shapes and concaves are totally from each other. Completely different foot feel especially compared to a modern popsicle deck where the nose and tail are virtually indistinguishable and have a pretty shallow and consist concave along the flat. Forward/fake/switch/normal doesn't really matter much cuz the whole board feels the same.
Even the tail slides, like you mentioned. Where and how it slides. And some noses were concave too back then; which is GREAT for higher ollie-ing. Extra scoop, literally, like a spoon. "Spoon nose" we called some of 'em.
That warm up lay back was so sick!!
legendary!
Any trick Chris does is sick 💯
UA-cam needs a flip video feature so I can watch goofy skaters as regular.
You two killed it on those big ass boards
That blue board Haslam has it's beautiful
I enjoyed this one a lot ! 😃
I got to kinda skate with Chris 20 odd years ago at a globe event in Melbourne, was a great day.
Sick vibes to this video… 10/10
that was sick!
I was most impressed with Andrew’s skating. I can’t remember the last time I saw him skate but he is still ripping! Chris must be a yoga guy to be his age and still move like Gumby.
I saw both of those decks at my local skate shop! Really cool!
Hyped to skate now! I had that Knox back in 90' Next time you've got to stick risers on, no wheel bite, and weird pop.
I like this two old friends having fun...
Three Sixty Toe+Row in the poach of the mini quarter 🤟🏼😅🤙🏼 Much Cleanliness Thank You Sir ahahahaha🙏🏽🧔🏽
Im glad to see haslam again, this guy is awesome, thanks santa cruz
Awesome stuff guys 🤘
This is why I love Santa Cruz. Just dudes skating like I used to way back.❤🔥
Deep in the bag of Haslam
That was fun!
reissue the first roskopp target...totally OG style white dip colorway with the most colorful graphic....screen print them too
Damn that's sick
LEGEND!!😍....Finally ordered my Tom Knox Firepit yesterday, no way it's gonna get put through it's paces like the one above though
That's was a sick episode. Like Ron foots
Chris is one of the most original og skateboarders.... I would love to see him in battle of the berrics. 🇨🇦 🍁
props for getting the doubles kickflip
No risers with 60mm wheels?! 😳 These are madmen!!
tight trucks w 100 duro bushings no problem
Haslam is such a wizard
I LOVE THAT SASQUATCH
Chris, Rodney, Daewon and Andy Anderson need to do a camping trip together and nerd out together awkwardly.... #protip
Haslam rocks.
Back tail 360 shove it and the really cool looking sal flip on the Manuel pad.nice
i saw pictures of that one foot ollie thing i dont know the name of it and i never saw it done so i didnt really know how sick it is. and the whole manual thing is lost on me its just unbeleivable that you can kickflip into a nose manual and kickflip outwhen i couldnt ride one without any kind of ollie or nothing involved. you guys are like super heros or something you drank radioactive beer or something. i bought some slimeballs not realizing that they were small and i couldnt understand why i was struggling to get down the street.after a long leave of about 30 yrs i forgot two important things, indy trucks are the only truck but the bushings are crap and what size wheels i used.i figured out both.i knew it wasnt the big bullets which you could get in 60 mm back then the 66mm were novelty to me but i still had a set.the bushings in my new trucks blew out almost instantly and that refreshed my memory i just got better ones.im just glad to be back.
Give him the winkowski board, he'll love it!
Andrew makes so many noises hahah
He really does haha
Crazy thar chris hiett skates Boards Like that and rips so hard
the world needs a haslam vs aa
My first deck was a Roscopp with the eye haha, those were the days
chris would look so good on santa cruz !
nice tricks
Definitely need some kind of risers. They should have had those new stage 4 independent trucks to go really old school... but Kool guys...
Chris Haslam is the best
Both still ripping good
Wow man. 2 legends skating in one video? Incredible vibes.
Love Andrew but legend lmao he ain’t Reynolds wrong Andrew
I NEED my perfect board, it was a veterans edition eric dressen eyes board from 2009ish HALPPPP
music > commentary
Haslam likes Amon Amarth too? siiick
8:08 Never seen it??... Kendall did a shifty version of it in his video part.
Did you guys had wheel bite issue without risers?
The original Tom Knox fire pit board was my first ever proper board a longgggg time ago lol.
Cruise missile 2 concave is the best on these boards.
"Just imagine " how many people would buy these old school boards if they were still $99 for a complete like they were in the 80's !!! But with Cirlce trucks and German bearings 😊
I skate a Santa Cruz 9.38 with 169 Indys and 65mm Slimeballs, and when folks my age see that board it takes them back to that time !
Of course I have rails, 1/2 risers and a tailbone on mine. Would love to see
some Santa Cruz tail plates !
Just please don't put 5 holes in them
Haslam transitions tre Christ ✝️ also u guys best down those ledges and pads very fun and wheel but sucks do 1/4 inch for anything 56 mm or smaller 3/8 inch bigger wheel then 60 and 1/2 for 70mm .... Crank your riser down tight ... Old-school shakes were my favorite when I could find them in stock praise the board makers
*wheel bite sucks ... Not wheel buts
I am so bummed on the knox board. I recently bought it and its so warped .
Still waiting for the ultimate reissue trio: Salba Bevel, Olson Checker Board, and Duane red/black stripes
We need 58mm slime balls !! C'mon cannon!
We will talk to the slimeballs crew about it!
@@SantaCruzSkateboards 🔥🤮🔥🤮!!!
Tribute to Ron allen.that one foot
149s trucks on Chris board???
What skatepark is this?
Pecos Skatepark in Arizona
Some bad memories from that Kendall board, some dude stole my SMA Julien Stranger and left is fcked skateboard that had that Kendall board. Who the hell steals an 11 year old?
Don’t worry Andrew cannon you can say fuck 😂 it’s natural when we’re frustrated, just let your children know when to say it.
Fakie flip back tail?!?!?!
Haslam is so gd and cannon is that a turnstile t I see
Oh, we are bigggg Turnstile fans over here.
@@SantaCruzSkateboards saw them in auxs NZ a week or so ago amazing straight 🔥. thank you for letting us see you and haslam skate like this lol
If that’s MOB…why did Chris have a bubble 🤔
Haslam is the best skater!
How the hell did he not grow up skating board like that? isn't he like 50? lol
edit: no he's 42, but still shoulda been in that era I think. unless he started older.
He’s got “slam” in his name yet rarely falls. Hmmm…
No riser pads?!.. setting yourself up to be disappointed..
That board hates you, I know.
I don't understand why they don't put risers on these og boards. Enjoy your wheelbite. Or when Andrew skates 149s on a 10 inch deck. Tippy canoe. These videos are supposed to showcase your product. All you are really doing is confusing your younger customers. But I'm just a crusty ol skater who grew up on those boards. Now get off my lawn. Oh... and cruise missle concave sucks. The tails are way too steep with that extra bend. Really uncomfortable ride. I like Santa Cruz and NHS products in general. Just not a fan of the cruise missle concaves. Slime balls are awesome wheels.
"it's hard to grip these big ones" LOL
Chris is Jesus
