MH Now | 9* Radobaan Paralysis GS Grade 10-2 Heroics

Much to my surprise, it was Radobaan as the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ve been attempting runs on him off and on with my 9-5 Girros GS set for a couple weeks, and the two biggest issues I always ran into were dealing with his bone armor as well as the amount of spacing attacks that prevented me from keeping up the DPS on his head.
Today’s dozen or so attempts, and subsequent wasted 12 first aid meds, pushed me over the edge to go ahead and overgrade my weapon to 10-2. This was further confirmed by reviewing some of my best attempts on him so far: it’s possible at 9-5, sure, but without an urgent quest to fall back on at any time of day the act of farming out runs is both unrealistic and unfun.
The relatively small but definitely noticeable bump in attack power was all I really needed to secure the clear here, and as you can see even without a perfect run I still had a good amount of time left on the clock. Partbreaker is a huge boon in this fight, as the sooner you break his bone armor, the sooner you start dealing large chunks of damage. I honestly don’t regret overgrading my GS, as the extra oomph a G10 weapon brings will help tremendously to farm out the remaining Wyvern gem shards I need to fully max out this weapon. Just 39 more to go…
