Ye blue zone is absolutely a genuine eye hazard, I think if we’re loud enough about just that they could change the brightness, but other than the entirely of the blue zone I think it was really a pretty good update

something to note: you do not have to fully build up the feather bar on enemy creatures to dive bomb them. furthermore the dash can only be done while sprint gliding. while normal gliding the yi ling will level out similarly to a glide suit with the added ability to switch camera view (the "switch aim mode") the basis of its glide mechanic is basically a glide suit with climbing picks combo meaning if you are good with glide suit the yi ling will be easier to use all around.

People were complaining that just ko and passive were boring so my best guess is that wildcard listened but now people are complaining that these are too annoying and want ko and passive back
I think taming shoud be harder or easier, depending on creature abilities but this is not good method, it's better then shooting 80 arrows in to it but it doesn't make sense.. it must hit you and then instead of shooting arrows you have to perfectly throw grenade on to it, like why is her defense mechanism attacking and diving used as tool to tame her? Its lame.
After experiencing the horror that is taming a fasalosuchus, I can safely say that this looks better. Its still not fun, whoever at ark headquarters is cooking up these unique taming methods aint good at it
Fasalo taming was always easier than it maybe seemed.. the trick is to go around ahead of time and make map markers at every salt deposit in the area you plan on taming. The southern desert on Scorched is the easiest, due to almost no obstacles that will knock you off, but it works all around the map. They literally put the salt deposits close enough to each other that you can pretty much always make it to the next one if you know where it is.
@@Dieciptosaurus So it no longer kicks you off when the Fasalo is an inch off the ground. Ruins, oil veins, and some trees no longer dismount. The overall forgiveness has been improved and its not as frustrating
I can assure you this is 100% worse, i have tried so many times to hit it with the grenade at the right time and i just can’t, at least the fasola is possible Edit: i cheated to get it, i used the slomo command, i’m not proud of myself but that was the only way for me to get it
if you build a 3x3 foundation and stack the doorframes with no tops 3 high all the way around you can stand in the middle and get hit by feathers and when they dash at 30feathers they get stuck in the doorframes for easy stunning
Syntac, I imagine you've read the patch notes for Aberration already, but in case you haven't, there is some excellent news! Karkinos and Basilisks are now breedable!
@@duquesagammer I was super excited when I saw it in the patch notes. While I don't use basilisks a ton myself, I know Syntac always wanted to mutate them, so I'm pretty stoked for that.
Why can't new tames just be a simple knock out anymore? Why does everything new have to be a cryptic mess of jumping through hoops? God I hope Immersive Taming gets ported soon, it will make everything so much easier.
Ik this game never works anyway so you always just end up do taming it and throwing away the materials it took because it’s just not worth fighting these buggy taming methods

I know it might not be for everyone but I do like the new animals they do add in from the new maps/updates and official sponsored mods do have special and different ways to tame them compared to the usual trang and feed
Honestly would be a cool method of taming if it took a single one to knock them out and you could still tranq them normally. Make it a trade off with having to get hurt and having to time it for you to get it faster
What I want to know is, if there are two yi-lings, can the feathers from one count t words the other ones dive bomb and if so, could you have one mounted to a wall almost on “turret mode” while another dive bombs? Could be a fun combo
People complaining about these new taming methods are crazy. I love that they’re branching out and doing these different methods that are like little mini games. Helps also give each creature it’s own personality, I wish they’d go back and give older creatures new taming methods.
I've already played a couple hours and my honest opinion is that ase is better, graphics wise, other than that I'm loving the new remaster of my favorite map
I for one enjoy the different approaches to knockout and passive tames. It's far more interesting then spending 5 mins shooting tranqs at something in a trap.
@@thedarkknight3998actually they are immune to radiation; raasclark’s video confirmed it. They’re too quick and agile for drakes to catch up to you if you know what you’re doing. Idc that much if it makes it easier tbh, the Yi Ling is dope

I don’t think you need high health if you’re fast enough to skip over mob spawns without fighting nor getting trapped in. That holds up for the way down, but the way back up will be something else on these guys. Probably gonna crutch on “Heal Plants”

no trap? just make an 8x8 with foundations and door frames 2x high or shaped ceilings, in this case for yourself instead of the dino. im bad at the game and big traps help me but im sure you could do it with a smaller one too

@Syntac, how do you think this impacts the progression on the map? I loved abberation not only because off the music, beautiful map, cool tames but also the progression. Your kinda forced to be grounded using only ziplines and ravagers throughout the whole DLC until you reach the last zone and can get rock drakes. Does this just trivialize it like flyers do in all the other maps?
After a very long search, I tamed a level 140 Yi Ling and after another long search, I found a level 145 one but it doesn't dive at me even though its feather count is around 80-90. Also, the previous time, as soon as it passed 30, it would dive at me and I could stun it. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?
Really painful tame RNG and mistakes are not granted kindly; as it’s torpor resets on like 1 or 2 failures The main problem is its dive bomb: if it was a hint more telegraphed, slower, or didn’t have as much a torpor drop penalty, this would honestly be a really cool taming method It’s a really cool tame as well, but the method is very very aggravating, I e between myself and a few friends
I mean, it’s a tame that makes you use actual resources. Not bad. Is it worth taming? Maybe. I wanna see someone use it in a boss fight like they do with the Deinonychus

The fasalo taming got much more forgiving a while ago. It's honestly not bad anymore

It’s not really important, but I do love that it has some idle animations. More creatures should have them. It makes them feel more alive.

Tamed Reaper level is also based off survivor level too so by the time gen 2 rolls around we could have some nutty reapers

I mean the good thing is these things aren’t radiation resistant (I think) so they can’t really be used, plus they don’t have a ton of health

Well it’s not necessarily flying but it’s like a rock Drake but more pvp based while the rock Drake was more travel based
