- I'm a huge fan of the current generation Omega Speedmaster Professional. I know it's an icon for something to do with space exploration, but I actually like it because it's a badass looking watch with a design that never seems to age. So when I heard I'd be testing one out for a week, I was pretty excited. Then when I found out it wasn't the regular stainless-steel version, but the new Moonshine Gold Speedmaster with the green dial, I was over the moon!

Well I’m a very lucky man , I purchased the moonshine a couple of weeks ago , paid my 10% deposit and I’ve been told I will have the watch by December I went for the gold dial with black sub dials as I think it looks more traditional and won’t go out of date , had sleepless nights deciding which one to go for . So so looking forward to my call to pick it up , also I got a 10% discount on it which I was very very pleased about ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gold bracelet or rubber strap?
@@almac9203 I bought it on the bracelet and also ordered the rubber strap so I can change it when I need to , 2 watches in 1 ☺️
@@laurencefahey2085 that is a smart decision to get both the bracelet and strap. Wear the rubber strap everyday and the bracelet for formal occasions. So the boutique had display models of both the gold Panda and the green dial for you to compare before making your decision or was this purchased sight unseen?
@@almac9203 unseen al, iv taken my chances , but to be fair the more traditional dial is my kind of dial , so I think I will be fine , Yes with a rubber strap kind of on a daily basis not that I’ll be wearing as a daily basis but then on the nice days out weddings etc the gold strap can be put on

Ooooohhhhhh.......FINALLY, somebody said it!!! I don't get the "Daytona" hype, either. Never did, and I possibly never will. At least at this moment in my life, it's just notfor me. But the "Speedy" is. Not a gold one, but a 3861, none the less. You definitely have style, Brandon. .

It's been said here a lot, but I think it's important that the Hodinkee leadership team be overwhelmed with our positive feedback here.... Brandon is amazing! We want more Brandon. Great videos and love his perspective and "vibe" (a word I honestly never care to use, but Brandon oozes it so much I can't avoid it). I think AWOTW is the perfect video format for him, but would also love to HEAR him guest star on Hodinkee Radio with James sometime.

Just got the panda version of this and I’m loving it so far! It is my first full gold watch and I really enjoy the extra weight of it on the wrist.

It's a great watch to wear while eating a spicy chicken sandwich. Ps. No one ever landed on the surface of the moon with 1960's technology, back and forth six times without any problems just that made up one they made a movie about.
Having seen it real life I can say it’s a really modern gold color, doesn’t feel old when wearing it
