We all love an unpopular opinion, don’t we? Especially when it’s about video games. Well, any kind of media. Unpopular movie opinions, unpopular gaming opinions, unpopular book opinions, they get us all riled up and ready to battle. Taking from my experiences of my Breath of the Wild review, God of War review, Splatoon 2 review (well actually Splatoon review but nobody remembers that end of my channel), and a Hyrule Warriors review for the definitive edition on the Nintendo Switch that I’VE NEVER DONE before - I give you a top 10 except it’s actually 8 of my most recent video gaming unpopular opinions. This is still very much Caddicarus, but under a new sub-show known as ‘GARBAGE…’ - where I’ll plan at some point to do more broad topics surrounding games for the channel - like bad mascots, bad horror games, bad comedy games etc. Hope it goes down well, and please don’t get angry in the comments!

We are early
I think the Mass Effect series is overrated....

Unpopular Opinions: Touhou Games are underrated and Terraria is MUCH better than both Minecraft and Starbound
My unpopular opinion: Not liking or not being able to get into a game (series) is fine and there's nothing wrong with it
What are these strange words you are speaking. I've never heard anyone on the internet speak those words.
well obviously its ok????? what kind of uptight fucks are you talking to
As long as you don’t preach like the series is bad for everyone. That’s usually the problem fanbases have with reviewers.
Thanks Julian, I feel attacked when I tell people I can’t get into RPGs
Jay Harv28 If I had to guess why I can’t get into RPGs, I’d say they are a bit tedious and slow paced, which is the polar opposite kind of game I usually enjoy. I play fast paced platformers, so RPGs just don’t appeal to what I like to do when I sit down on my couch and turn on my Switch.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with a game being linear.
But if a game is linear, it needs to always be throwing new things at the player to keep things interesting.
Idk I feel action games are really boring killing the same monsters over and over again in hallways
Tell that to the forces haters XD
@@Pookie2112 That's why the good ones bring in more enemy types.
Games dont need to be open world most of the time, cause its really used as an excuse to make the game artificially longer

Unpopular opinion, most of these comments are really popular opinions
that's a popular opinion too
But they just aren't. Some of them are extremely unpopular (like the one I saw about Night in the Woods being "pretentious dreck")
The comments that are at the top are the ones that are liked the most, and the comments that are liked the most are popular.
@@thatonebackgroundcharacter2194 I'd have to agree with that one.
"Games should have easy mode" "Games should be shorter" damn we get it you're old
The fact that it's 2019 and people will still get mad at each other if someone has a *_SLIGHT_* disagreement with their opinion is disappointing
Oh Christopher?
I disagree! Nyehehehehe!
The fact that people are still using "its *current year*" as an argument is disappointing
The fact that you can’t say anything without someone misinterpreting what were trying to say is also disappointing.
It'sa going to be the same until the heat death of the universe
Actually with pseudo intellectual reviewers it's gotten way way worse these days. Now instead of it just being trolls it's pretentious people saying "objective" before every other word.
Art style is way more important that’s graphical fidelity.
That’s not an unpopular opinion, that’s a fact!
Enter Souls games.
People do think that. But they do intend to mix up the two. Usually when the mean these graphics are bright and colourful, they really mean the aesthetics or art style
That's the Nintendo way of thinking. And judging by how endlessly successful their franchises are, it works.
True, but that doesn't mean graphical fidelity needs to be completley disregarded
Being an indie game that's been hyped up for a while doesn't mean it can't be bad. (Looking at you hello neighbor)
Looking at you yooka laylee

You as well Nitro Kart

High age rating doesn’t equal great game. It annoys me when someone sees a game that’s rated lower like a seven or whatever and instantly assumes it’s bad because its family friendly
EXACTLY. People like that are just immature.
Eb Trax How ironic!
Oh god I remermber when my parents (jokingly) mocked me for getting a game that was rated 3+ on my PS2 (I was 15 at the time). The game in question? Ratchet and Clank!
@@MindstormXL Yeah its weird because the game was rated T in America but 3+ in PAL countries

Just because a game is difficult, doesn’t mean it’s automatically good
Early NES games come to mind.
Takeshi's Challenge
Vice Versa, just because a game is easy doesn't automatically make it bad
@@TheRetroShepherd This is the more unpopular one and I agree. More story-driven games don't really benefit from higher difficulty and it makes absolutely no sense to boycott studios for including an optional ultra easy mode.
White-Van Helsing contra has bad controls, are you talking about the whole series?
I 100% with your opinion about backwards compatibility.
Well, that was really just a popular opinion (Nintendo and Sony should have backwards compatibility)
disguised as an unpopular opinion
(Nintendo and Sony should copy something from Microsoft)
I don't think it's unpopular
companies shouldnt charge us to play games ,please let us play games that we already owned in our hands

Makes it even better
Pixel graphics are neat but are overused in indie games to the point where it kills some interest I could have in those that use them.
its more of a budget issue rather than complete artistic choice but i get what u mean
Of course, it is more costly to make a 3D rendered game than a pixel art one. But I do find myself impressed with pixel art when game devs do really interesting stuff with it.
Games like undertale, stardew valley and terraria, in my opinion get pixel graphics right, you can tell what something is even though it is a bunch of coloured squares and just looks great especially in the genre that those 3 fit into. Are there any other good pixel style games I should know about btw?
Great choices, some more games that do it right are hyper light drifter, dead cells, and celeste
I don’t think the binding of Isaac rebirth has pixel graphics
I really hate how so many games focus to much on realism
metareaper I’m depressed that games are never gonna get much more realistic to an extent but I think that Nintendo get it right with mario and Zelda
My old motto: Realism in games defeats the point of games.
Are we talking realism in gameplay or realism in story
@@Jetstreamsamdidnothingwrong both honestly
metareaper then I agree with you on gameplay but with story I disagree
Maybe the real gaming unpopular opinions were the friends that we made along the way...

Unpopular Opinion: There’s no shame in playing a game on easy if you’re in it for the story
There's no shame in playing a game on easy*
Too much easy mode mockery going around, if you like super hard games then that's okay, if you like super easy games that's okay too. What matters is the personal enjoyment one gets from it
That's why it's a *game*. Play, it, don't be played by it. 🦄
Unpopular-er opinion: There's no shame in using cheats in a singleplayer game, period.
My most unpopular opinion? Okay. I’m gonna get blasted for this. But I don’t care. I think the first Devil May Cry is overrated and outdated. The controls are so stiff and rocky. The game doesn’t allow you to switch difficulty until you beat the first three chapters. And it’s just boring. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. Also I’m not very good at it, and difficulty does NOT make a game bad at all. But damn. The first boss alone took me an hour straight. But hey my opinion. Go play DMC 3,4,5. Those are all masterpieces.
Unless that game is crash bandicoot, that didn't has a easy mode ._.
Unpopular opinion: I can enjoy games that I’m bad at
Yes I am s*it at MGS 3 but its my favourite game :)
I agree, The classic sonic games are some of my favorite even though I have only completed one. I’m absolutely terrible at retro games but I play then more then I do modern games.
Even though I am shit at Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and don't think I will ever complete it,
I can still appreciate that you need a certain amount of skill in order to complete it, even though I don't have that skill xp
Many games are just too easy or hold your hand too much, it becomes boring.
I love Skullgirls and other fighters but I’m awful at most of them
im absolute shit at smash lol
Is nobody gonna talk about how he called his Pokemon rival "Phucker"? 🤣
A bit rude.Maybe he shouldve named him Smucker but that sounds almost nearly as bad

*“Detroit: Become Human* is a TERRIBLE allegory of what it’s trying to convey and Connor’s story is the only legitimately interesting part of the game.”
It's just like every other David Cage game.
One interesting concept in an entire ocean of shit.
Connor and Hank are great despite the game they are in, not because of it.
@@orpheustelos23 Funnily enough all of the best moments were improv by Bryan and Clancy, remember Connor's wink? David Cage hated it and wanted to remove it.
I mean I liked Kara's she didn't have any real impact on the story but I felt her story was semi interesting but no where near Connor level. Also Markus just being the totally subtle black man fighting for the right of his people.
To sum up my feeling on DBH David Cage needs to learn how to be subtle
Playing on easy is fine
Games are allowed to look different it’s called style.
The original Pokémon snap wasn’t all that great
Indie games can be bad
You can enjoy a gaming company but that doesn’t mean you blindly defend it
Console wars are stupid and you are stupid if you take part in them.

I have also seen other UA-camrs review that game and it looks very good game. It also has that one infamous glitch where saving a game at one of the saving spots will close one of the doors and you can't finish the game.
I'm fine with it
Damn you beat me to it! 🤣
Just because a game has a deep/sad story doesn't automatically make it game of the year, especially when most of the game is just walking and talking.
This is like saying a doom game shouldn't deserve goty because it's mostly gameplay and barely any story
Game of the Year should be a game that has amazing story, gameplay, and technical execution. It doesn't have to be flawless, but I do think they should do at least reasonably well in those aspects to be considered.
GOTY should show off how good the game is in every aspect, yeah sure it has a nice story but it could be slow and unfun at certain moments
@@jimit.4220 I feel like gameplay vs story in games aren't exactly interchangeable. At least in my opinion of course. If a game has boring gameplay, I won't care if the story is good. I can always just watch a cutscene video on youtube instead of subjecting myself to the actual game
@@royalblanket with some games sure but I'd say with most story based games that's not the case, especially not with games such as gris which are incredibly story driven but they tell those stories through the gameplay.
And even with games that do use cutscenes as the main form of story telling, just watching them on youtube is absolutely not as impacting. Take hellblade for example, pretty simplistic gameplay loop with a lot of cutscenes, but without the gameplay those cutscenes wouldn't be worth shit cuz you can't get into the main character's mind, which is the main advantage of storytelling in video games over a movie or book.
Do you not remenber what happened last time nintendo and sony copied microsoft?

Actually, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a Cult Classic that's been re-released on Switch and PC.

Sudeki a JRPG made in England.
It's actually a really good game somehow. Probably at the top tier in terms of heavily zelda influenced games.
yeah but the ending still sucks.
Wait it got rereleased on switch? Huh, didn’t know that.
Unpopular opinion:
Remakes of games dont need to be 100% accurate to the source material
Same with reboots
and that's a fact
Yeah
Imo you should fix things that were wrong with the original game like for example in the n’sane trilogy they should’ve fixed the camera when backtracking
I feel like demanding remakes to be 100% is the more unpopular, at least as far as what I've seen.
Graphics don’t mean much, if isn’t killing my eyes then I don’t care. I’m much into the plot and the gameplay.
i have trouble playing video games with very realistic graphics because its harder to distinguish things as fast as everything tends to blend together
Same here. I mean, graphics are cool and all, but that's not what makes a game. Look at Undertale for example, a game that by all standards is not graphically impressive but the characters, story and writing make it one of the most beloved games of the 2010's.
i dont think graphics are as important as other factors but i always really appreciate a great art style.
I think within reason. Like if smash ultimate looked like smash 64 I would not play it
@@scrambled5948 undertale was made with gamemaker though
you cant do much with that.
gamemaker is good for simple games.
but try to be complex then you are not gonna be able to make a game

Unpopular Opinion:
I hate that, nowadays, games don't come with instruction manuals anymore, reading those was amazing!
Yes! They were genuinely fun to read, in my experience.
They dissapeared because of tutorials and the internet.
I thought that was a popular opinion, I hear a lot of people talk about how cool the details manuals are and i wholeheartedly agree!
Absolutely agree
That's not unpopular
Unpopular Opinion: I actually enjoy the Werehog levels in Sonic Unleashed.
This opinion is getting more and more normalized recently. We look back on this game and actually somewhat find the opposite. A decent amount of the daytime stages are structured terribly for keeping the speed flow, while Werehog is somewhat enjoyable. That doesn't excuse it for being repetitive and having awful pole swinging detection.
That is just wrong.
Unpopular opinion about it.
I actually think sonic unleashed was BETTER than any other sonic game I played... And I played the original 3 on the sega genesis XD
Infamax I agree the levels in colors are too short
nice try167 generations is better
Now that no one is watching this video anymore I can safely comment that ocarina of time isn’t that great and windwaker is much better.
Yeah Ocarina doesn’t hold up very well compared to today but Majora is the MVP of all time
Wind water was awesome.
Definitely agree. Ocarina of Time still deserves every bit of praise it gets for the impact it made on 3D gaming. Influential as hell. But Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game.
Having never played Ocarina I can't say for sure but, Windwaker is def one of the best Zelda games I have played, right next to Majora's Mask. And yes, I rate both of those above BotW, which I have briefly tried. I hate the weapon durability. That really rubs me raw, but the other elements are fine.
@@ZLunas This is a great way to put it. Influence/importance ≥ quality for some. In terms of mechanics, Windwaker was just *it,* for me. Just running around in circles as Toon Link felt so smooth and natural, versus the slight clunk of N64 Link.
Unpopular opinion: Just because a game is long, doesn't automatically make it good.
And just because one is short doesn't mean it's bad.
Is that really unpopular? I’ve heard a ton of people say that they straight up don’t play games that are “too long.”
Sanmoon I haven’t met anyone like that yet, so you are right. Idk. ☹️
Yeah little nightmares is short and fantastic
The best RPG in history, Chrono Trigger, is also the shortest.
Half-Life 3 is never happening because the Half-Life series is built on innovations to the FPS genre which 3 can never concievably achieve because genre oversaturation has already made every innovation.
To be fair, the game people wanted _wasn't_ HL3. It was HL2: Episode 3, and yes, there's a difference.
>Inaccurate Prophecy
Accurate name. Lol.
HL2;E3 Will never happen, yes, but for completely different reasons.
i believe that it's more related to the problems between VALVE and the original writers of the saga.
I remember reading somewhere that HL3 won’t happen because a major actor in the series died.
Alpha Wholesome I think more importantly the main writer for the series (Marc Laidlaw) quit.
All right, here it comes:
There are too many Action RPG‘s emulating the aesthetics, especially the gameplay, of dark souls. The fact that we don’t have more games like Kingdoms of Amular is a cultural mistake.
I enjoyed Kingdoms of Amular's art and combat, but I felt it was a Skyrim clone more than anything. Also it may have been just my experience but I over leveled way too fast to maintain any challenge, which was a bummer since the combat was so good.
I whould agree
I've barely ever seen action RPGs like Dark Souls
Plum0utta Time
I think that’s because Kingdom’s of Amular was a financial failure of colossal proportions. I know it was all poor management and the game itself is quite good, but that probably scared a lot of publishers and developers away. Then they look at Dark Soul’s success and think that’s the clear winner we should be aping.
YES! I love action games where you can mix it up with cool looking combos. Now every game is a damn Dark Souls clone!
unpopular opinion: crafting in games most of the time turns half the gameplay into a chore just so you can have fun for a little bit
Agreeable. I find that annoying in Minecraft and zelda breath of the wild. But it's less annoying in Minecraft because that's the whole point of the game
@@wookieninja8879 Wait a fuckin minute. You can craft in breath of the wild?Am i jus dumb
@@timeklivickis
I think what they mean is the cooking.
It depends on if the crafting system itself is quick to do and not a massive lumpy nuisance. Minecraft succeeded in both because the crafting is seamless and takes like half a second, especially with the recipe book added in 1.12, while something like Animal Crossing has the wrong kind of crafting where you have to sit through a 5 second animation and a textbox every time you craft something, and the lack of bulk crafting makes it so you have to waste even more time.
Unless of course the crafting itself is the entire point of the game. And in the case of Minecraft and Atelier Ryza 2, it makes the game really fun. More so AR2 rather than Minecraft. In Minecraft, crafting is not as fun as just building a peenie.
I'm more likely to buy a game that has a cartoony style rather than a realistic style
I'm consciously biased to realism and would prefer if most things had a bouncier and more cartoon like style where possible
You mean you're biased against realism?
Afaik, there's nothing wrong with that. There have been studies showing that humans don't like something else looking exactly like them (this research was done in the context of androids and the like). So people not liking realistic-looking games just reflects that - it's repulsive for us to think that something that was "made" is so... Alive. I'm with you on this - I'd much rather play Tf2 for 9001 hours than boot up something like Battlefield.
@@olegzubkov1109 Oh, you talk about the Uncanny Valley effect! But I don't think that's what he's talking about. I think it's just artistic preference. I too prefer cartoonish art style over phtorealism...
Yeah, why not
The realism-ish game would look bad in 2 years anyway
@@GrayFoxHound9 It's also generally more expansive to make stuff look more realistic...
I think GTA is one of the most overrated franchises in the gaming industry.
It's like the most generic open world game, it doesn't have the character and customization of Saints Row, no unique atmosphere like Mafia games, no dialogue focus of L.A. Noire, no combat and style of Yakuza, etc. GTA is like the poor man's version of these. But I admit it's solid. Just extremely overrated, yeah. Totally agree.
I wholeheartedly agree.
I think Rockstar are just overrated in general. Yeah sure, they know how to craft a great story, but their gameplay is complete horse shit.
Agreed I like Saints Row more then gta even with friends I prefer Saints Row
I mean, San Andreas and Vice City have a really nice Appeal and cool characters. But every other GTA? Meh.
I liked Super Smash Bros. Brawl more than Melee. Brawl had a better presentation, more content, better music, and a fantastic story mode. Melee may have had better gameplay, but that's about it.
I agree with you on every facet except for presentation. While Melee is no Ultimate, it's undeniable that Brawl is the UGLIEST of all the title. The hard realistic 3D graphics were totally not needed.
Melee and brawl are 2 different extremes
Melee is too competitive and fast.
Brawl is too casual and slow.
Neither have a balance.
Melee is not friendly to newcomers
Brawl is alienating to fans.
Smash 4 and ultimate are a much better balance of casual and competitive.

Funny thing is I remember trying Dynasty Warriors 2 a long time ago (this being the first game in the series to be a musou game--the original was a bad Tekken wannabe) and having the exact same problem with it Caddy described for Hyrule Warriors. The series just seems like its all spectacle but no real meat.
Caddy : I don’t get Breath of the Wild
Me : *getting ready to defend*
Caddy : the main issues are the story and the weapon degradation
Me : alright that’s fair
It's super repetitive. You've basically seen everything the game has to offer in the first 10 hours, the shrines and puzzles aren't challenging, story, music and memorable characters are nonexistent.
How about the MMO tier fetch quests, baren open world, mediocre VA, lacking story, downgraded combat, lack of enemy variety, too many copy paste shrines, divine beat dungeons are underwhelming.
botw imo isn't better than the original nes zelda
The weapon system is the reason I still don't get saled on buying the game.
eh...the story isn't bad it's more so the story telling and I do mostly agree with the weapon durability issues. but I diisagree with the other person with it being repetitve even after hundreds of hours it was a lot of fun like how would you see everything the game has to offer in only ten hours? no way would you even cover the entirety of hyrule yet if yoru actually doing stuff and not just running around and searching for towers.. the shrines and puzzles can be challenign believe me. the story isn't nonexistent at all it's just...kind of buried. the music is there but more quiet it really works though. and memorable characters? honestly the modern champions and even the older ones I can remember just not all equally however...it had arguably the best version of zelda ever.
Caddi: I thought Hyrule Warriors was extremely boring
Me: Welcome to the Warriors Franchise my dude. You either love it or hate it.
Not necessarily. I hated HW but really enjoyed most of my time with AoC, even though I did quit playing at about 30 hours in when the Warriors fatigue set in hard.
It’s like marmite.
Expect with marmite everyone who loves it is wrong.
And then there's people like me. I played both Hyrule Warriors games, and my opinion on it is just "meh".
The gameplay is fun when you're fighting loads of enemies anf pulling off cool attacks with all the characters. But HOLY SHIT is this game repetitive. Literally all you do is claim fortresses, fight enemies, and eventually defeat a boss. Yes you have mission criteria you need to complete, but they never felt urgent.
The customization was cool, but it was pretty limited. In the original it was basically just recolors. And in Age of Calamity, they don't have ANY significance because for all the weapons you get, you will always use the same weapon and just upgrade it.
They aren't bad games, but definitely not my style.
All I'm saying is that despite me liking Hyrule Warriors, I can understand why people don't like it (within reasonable reasons)
Meh, to me it works as a game, and has cute details from previous games translated to a warrior formula, but otherwise... I have to agree with Caddi

I don't really like them because of a few things, mostly the fact that only about 1/3 of the dialogue is actually voice acted, and the fact that you are forced into a tiny "arena" whenever you get into combat. There are a few other things but those are the two biggest ones. To be fair though, I have only played Yakuza zero and Fist of the North Star, I have seen enough gameplay of every other title in the series to know they are all like that though.

While I agree Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee had some nice additions to them, I'm still gonna have to go with the gen 3 remakes FireRed and LeafGreen as the best versions of the original gen 1 games.
I want to agree so hard, but the lack of the physical/special split just barely keeps me from liking the GBA ones the most. Though wild pokemon battles were a thing in them...so I can't really choose tbh.

The overuse of HMs alone makes it dated, IMO lol
FireRed and LeafGreen are the canon ones anyway, Let's Go is a remake of Yellow, which was just a side thing based on the anime to begin with. I really liked Let's Go Eevee tbh. The art style was cute and easy on the eyes (especially as someone with sensory issues) and I even got to use unevolved pokemon which I've never done before. I had a Bulbasaur and a Rattata and never evolved them. It felt like I had far more freedom when playing and I still love shiny hunting and seeing the shinies in the game. It was actually my first experience with Kanto as a region. People bash on it a lot, but it's actually a lot of fun. If everything was the exact same all the time, it'd get pretty boring tbh.
Agreed! I loved Let's Go Eevee! One of my fave things was the art style! I never even liked the original DP games, but I was so bummed they didn't use the Let's Go style for BDSP over the gross, low-effort chibi style when the LG was RIGHT THERE! X'D

I've only played a little bit of MGR Revengeance
i agree with caddy
As Caddy said music is very subjective! Some people don't like that genre mix very much and that's totally fine! I personally love the soundtrack but I completely understand why others would find it irritating.
What makes me angry is that how poorly he brought his point across. He used 1 single song and that song is probably the least stable and most irritating song in the whole OST, if he said why he didn't like songs such as Return to Ashes, Stains of Time, Red Sun, Return to Ashes, The Only Thing I know For Real, Collective consciousness and It Has To Be This Way (of course not all of them, but those are pretty much the best of the OST) I would understand him totally, but using 1 song that I don't think sounds even that good is a pretty weak point.
@@Haispawner I know right? Honestly I think the whole soundtrack is good, but Stains of Time was so good, despite being for one of the most frustrating boss fights that I had to buy the album.

When I saw the Splatoon thing, I was afraid. But you know what?
I agree. The movement speed sucks a whole dong.
Soooo slow
It's like sonic in sonic boom
Yeah. Even though there's ablities that make you faster, they don't make you fast enough to matter.
I think a lot of it comes down to how you play the game, like now after playing splatoon for so long you do adapt a play style that isn’t just run, shoot. You kinda learn to simultaneously shoot swim and jump which makes you move a lot faster but I agree there shouldn’t be that much of a curve where to get any decent movement you have the learn the game for hours and hours.
I mean, he's not wrong and I kinda wish the Inklings/Octolings did what Sora does in KH3 which is speed up movement while run-shooting after a few seconds, but the emphasis is the gimmicks, which is Nintendo's bread & butter. Hey, to each their own...but that matchmaking BS is SO on point.
Ive never had a problem personally but I also always use the roller so....

I didn't like Red Dead Redemption 2, great story bogged down by incredibly slow gameplay. Got 2/3 through the game before putting it down because I just got too bored
Daniel Staples
Nakeyjakey has a really good and entertaining breakdown of why he thought Red Dead 2 was disappointing. Personally, I would have been fine if the whole game was dressing up Arthur and your horse. If I had it my way, I’d just shoot the main villain as soon as I can just so I can go back to comparing boot spurs.
2/3 of the way through is where the story kinda goes off the rails anyway and the missions become more and more of the same and by that time your just sick of playing and want to get it over with quick. If you ask me, stretching a story over 30 hours is an awful idea and it loses steam right at the 2/3 point.
I completely agree with you there. I cant stand playing that game for more than a couple days and then need to put it down for like a month. Otherwise I get too bored of it. I only barely made it to the second camp and I bought it on release.

I actually like shadow the hedgehog a lot
I enjoyed shadow the hedgehog. It’s terrible, but in a laughably good way.
I actually enjoy Shadow and 06 unironically. Shadow has low points that are absolutely low (Lost Impact, The Doom, Mad Matrix), but actually has a lot of cool stages (Lethal Highway, Cosmic Fall, GUN Fortress, Digital Circuit, The ARK, Lava Shelter, etc) where a lot of the goals aren't a cryptic mess. I also think the game's OST is severely overlooked. Lethal Highway, GUN Fortress, Black Comet, Sky Troops, Lost Impact, The Doom, Blue Falcon/Heavy Dog, Digital Circuit, and maaaany other songs are really good listens.
06 has two major issues. One are some of its design choices and the second is the poor coding. The design choices apply to Silver and Shadow, but Sonic has genuinely solid levels. I think some of his levels like Kingdom Valley are really great, and the 06 PC project shows the potential it has. I don't think the story is quite that bad or confusing, just severely undercooked. I think Silver having an arc is cool, and Sonic and Elise's friendship makes sense when ya think of Elise being basically sheltered while Sonic shows her the world. The kiss isnt bestiality, just extremely cringy, unnecessary, poorly done, and kinda gross. The kiss wasnt even needed. Just a cliché tear would've been fine.
I see why people dislike these games though
patrician taste
@@OnlyGoken one complaint I hear about Shadow is the story and how there's so many endings and most are lame or don't make sense, but the people bashing it don't play it to the end to realize the true end of the game is the actual ending, Sonic 06 didn't have as good of a story but to me, the only thing that kills it for me are the bugs and long load times. If the game got a proper remaster I think it would be a solid 7/10 at least

It's weird because on the one hand, a lot people wouldn't be interested in this game if it didn't have the Zelda coating. On the other, this really isn't the best example of the Warriors formula. I still think Dragon Quest Heroes 2 was the best example of that. It also had a world map, which flies in the face of the excuse Dynasty Warriors fans use of DW9 being "innovative" by going open world, since DQH2 had already done something similar except it was, y'know, good.
