Meanwhile, Caddicarus doesn't know why Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has stealth mechanics in this hard-as-balls game. Sekiro draws inspiration from the Tenchu series of stealth-action games partially developed and published by FromSoftware. The team initially considered developing the game as a sequel to Tenchu; however, it quickly outgrew the concept. Tenchu is a third-person stealth game franchise. There are numerous items to help the ninja on his/her mission, but unlockable items can be acquired if the player gets a "Grand Master" rating at the end of the level by being as stealthy as possible. Items and controls vary from game to game, but the gameplay is essentially the same throughout the entire series.
I thought the fish were hard too. Then I learned pushing circle makes you swim faster. Also (spoiler) getting an upgrade after the corrupted boss makes em super easy to get.

Tried some bloodbourne when it was free on ps+ and I liked it fine but didn't play much. Now I see this game and I'm very interested. Got to the first real boss I think. And yeah it's hard if you don't know what to do.
Lesson 9: Learn the passive skills asap. Some enable you to heal a chunk of your health and posture after every Deathblow. I think the passive skills are the most useful of all the skills available.
Awesome video!! Another way to defeat the bull is to get the fire drink from the pot merchant in the river and deflecting the bulls attacks at the right times, this sends the bull into a stagger you can get around 5 or 6 hits that way, also dousing powder helps. Edit : the fireworks are too op against it too.

Its a personal thing, your number one defensive tool is deflection that depends on your twitch reflexes. Depending on how developed those are this can be easier or much more difficult than souls.
@ Jackal the Bat Pony The entire FromSoftware formula boils down to rhythmic attack:dodge patterns going all the way back to King's Field. The real challenge in the game is overcoming your own character's sluggishness, and pattern memorization. It's a different kind of precision than that of something like DMC because the focus is more on you than on the enemy... at least in my experience. That might just be because I'm used to faster action games though.
@bigevilworldwide1 Imagine being that annoyed that people play the game in the manner they prefer. Souls games can be played in any number of ways. That's the point.
Not sure if I missed it, but surprised Caddi didn't make the connection to Tenchu with this game. It's essentially a spiritual sucessor to one of FromSoftwares old IPs.

God, if that's his actual name. Idk what will i do.

His real name is Sekiro
@Grey Wolf Tengu and Isshin are the same person lol
@@flowerwithamachinegun2692 sekiro means “one armed wolf”
This for me is my favorite FromSoftware game. Because even though the story is another "You're dead, but not quite." story, this one has a more personal side to it. I also think this game has faster pacing, I mean it should because you are a Shinobi after all.
there's a guy that literally names you "sekiro",
so now i only refer to the character as "john sekiro"
I don’t get it
My guess is that OP is replacing the term "John doe" for an unnamed Male,
With "John Sekiro" because OP knows part of the person's name.
Doesn't explain why OP thinks "Sekiro" is his last name and not his first name,
Or why OP didn't use the protagonists other name of "Wolf" AKA "Sekiro Wolf"
It should be Owl "Sekiro" Wolf.
@pkslider725
Yeah, I haven't played the game yet, so I'm just making assumptions based on what I saw in this video, so I kind of figured I might be missing something 😅
@pkslider725
I'll probably try and play the game without learning too much about it first,
(I usually prefer to do a blind run of a game first)
Though it's not like I'll be going in completely blind at this point considering Caddy gave tips in this video lol 😅
OMG, jump OVER the ogres' lunge grab. That never occurred to me even after I killed him. Wish I saw this video sooner.
A small amount of people? It became the best game of 2019. Also looks like Dororo. One of the best game till now.

Oh no, that's not true. That upgrade its a locked drop from the Chained Ogre, and there are 2 more from other mini-bosses. (what bosses are spoiled down this comment)
2 - Blazing Bull
3 - Chained Ogre 2
So this is, what? Tenchu, Dark Souls, and Ninja Gaiden all wrapped in a beautiful supernatural feudal Japan bow?
*I think I’m in love*
Fun Fact: It was originally planned to be a Tenchu game, but then they changed direction halfway through. So yes, it basically is Tenchu with a Dark Souls-esque coat of paint.
Nah, more like bloodborne meets tenchu meets ninja gaiden/devil may cry, especially the last one seeing how royalguard and deflect are pretty much identical.
If you replace tenchu with onimusha from That mix, wouldn't that basically be Nioh?
Also a little bit of Onimusha.
I see dark souls with some ninja gaiden with Splash of for honor.
Seeing the [OLD] next to all these great videos made me feel ancient, it doesn't feel like they were uploaded that long ago
I legitimately laughed so much while watching this, for the right reasons. I heavily enjoyed both Sekiro and this video.
When I fought the ogre, I beat him without taking damage. I proceeded to die to general tensen MANY times
Young Blood tf theyre both easy
Tensen has an instakill that's instant bro. He is no joke harder to beat than isshin
Is that the frog chick from Academia?
Pete Olivarez yes
I died to the ogre many times 😂

i love the way your tumbnail looks kinda like the completionist's style but its diferent enogh too be awesome too, also great video XD
For me, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice the illegitimate son from the Tenchu series.
Yeah, first they make a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, then they make the one for the Tenchu series.
It’s totally legitimate since From developed the original Tenchu
@@jetbreak Another spiritual successor from From Software. Also, I think they started developing Tenchu games with Wrath of Heaven.
@@Gakusangi I hope so. The Tenchu games were so good.

I believe Sekiro actually means "one fanged(/armed) wolf", they actually mention it eventually but I'm a bit hazy on the details atm
Also fishing is fixed by spamming circle for dash-swim ;)
Sekiro (隻狼) does mean that.
Please review Epic Mickey. The atmosphere and story may be right up your alley.
EDIT: Also do research on the concept art and development of this game. It's horrifying, I tell ya.
I agree with you maybe caddy could do a double episode with epic mickey and epic mickey 2 or even do the 3ds games.
@@smashbear9315 I'd say dedicate the first video to the first game, then the second episode be a marathon of Epic Mickey 2 for console and DS.
I’m someone who plays games on Easy mode (No shame), yet there’s something therapeutic about playing FromSoftware games.
When I think back to my favourite gaming memories of the last ten years or so, they are all of FROM Software games. Make of that what you will.
Started my fromsoft journey 2 months ago starting with completing bloodborne, then ds3, then getting plat on demon souls on ng+++, now at the end of sekiro going for plat and ng+, when I’m happy with that game, I’m onto ds1 remaster then the legendary one and only ds2, saved the best for last. ;)

23:13 no it is not
You are supposed to deflect his charge attack, he will stagger for five seconds so you can attack. Do it few times and he will be dead
Well I did it how he did so..
It was the way from literally wanted you to do it
honestly, any way you can beat a boss is a correct way in From games so long as you're not exploiting a glitch. Though I admit, I did it how Caddy did just cause my brain was like "how do you deflect something like that? He'd snap your sword in half!"
King's Field evolved into Dark Souls.
Tenchu evolved into Sekiro.
I wonder what Armored Core will evolve into.
Algorithm found me another banger. Funny how it's recommending me this now 3 yrs later

Looking forward to trying it.
Tried some bloodbourne when it was free on ps+ and I liked it fine but didn't play much.
Now I see this game and I'm very interested. Got to the first real boss I think. And yeah it's hard if you don't know what to do.
Have you tried Nioh yet?
I have not, but I’ve never heard anything really bad about it, mostly just positive.
I can confidantly say the feeling of getting good was great and a boss later or 2 made me lose my shit because they use mechanics from bloodborne
Ever since playing Yakuza 3 I've hated playing games in English when they're set in Japan.

Another way to defeat the bull is to get the fire drink from the pot merchant in the river and deflecting the bulls attacks at the right times, this sends the bull into a stagger you can get around 5 or 6 hits that way, also dousing powder helps.

Tbh once you get deflects down to 100% going to happen all the time with your own personal skill the game becomes piss easy
but who am I kidding games journalists stare at the cover before deciding if they like the game or not
Its a personal thing, your number one defensive tool is deflection that depends on your twitch reflexes. Depending on how developed those are this can be easier or much more difficult than souls.
@
Jackal the Bat Pony The entire FromSoftware formula boils down to rhythmic attack:dodge patterns going all the way back to King's Field. The real challenge in the game is overcoming your own character's sluggishness, and pattern memorization. It's a different kind of precision than that of something like DMC because the focus is more on you than on the enemy... at least in my experience. That might just be because I'm used to faster action games though.
I think that unlearning your habits from the other souls-type games is one of the biggest hurdles for me.
@bigevilworldwide1
Imagine being that annoyed that people play the game in the manner they prefer.
Souls games can be played in any number of ways. That's the point.
Or just run past everything.
Sekiro basically plays like a single player fighting game
Wel........because it is.
Is Naruto ultimate ninja the only fighting game you played?
Not sure if I missed it, but surprised Caddi didn't make the connection to Tenchu with this game. It's essentially a spiritual sucessor to one of FromSoftwares old IPs.
Personally having played sekiro it does not need an easy mode because the game is already on easy mode it isn't disrespectful to not have traditional difficulty you people just need to get good
