Normally I much prefer these with the SS hood, but… I don’t know if it’s the colour or what… but this is probably the NICEST late model 4th gen Z28 I’ve ever seen. The colour is just amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing about it aesthetically. I know this is an older video, but I hope you still have this. I have an 85 IROCZ Z28, a 94 Z28, and a 2010 SS.
Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have it anymore but I think about this car way more than I thought I would. I put so much time, effort and thought into everything I did to it. Comments like this make me smile still :)
@@tampabaybuilds6825 hope you get one again. 95 Z28 was my first car, I loved it, and it unfortunately caught fire (wanted to be a Firebird I guess). Luckily I only had a few very minor burns, and melted hair on the right side of my head (a quick haircut and all was good), lol. That was in 2006, and I dreamt and dreamt about that car all the time because I missed it so much. Finally grabbed the 94 Z28 last summer. It’s not the exact same, but it’s pretty close (basically just doesn’t have leather, which I could easily change). Maybe one day that will happen for you too!
Very nice car. Love F-body cars especially the LS 4th gens. Have a 2000 6spd WS6 myself, have the same fear of the 10 bolt LOL! My best time is a 13.3 @ 105.79mph with full suspension work, lowered 1", OE size Nitto NT555, GMMG catback, and SLP lid. Your car build is close to what I want to do with mine. I should be able to get my longtubes and OR/Y done this winter, can't wait. Have a good one!
I love the color, mine is the same. It used to look a lot like yours except mine has tan interior. So yeah, your cam is really holding you back. You have LS6 heads (I wish I had some) and your cam has -10 degrees of overlap which means you could flow a hell of a lot more air with a mid size cam without sacrificing drivability. My recommendation, not that you are asking, lol, is something like a Brian Tooley Racing stage 2 N/A cam. It is 227 / 234 on 113lsa and around .600" of lift. 4.5 degrees of overlap means you will maintain engine vacuum and would be easy to tune. You should always match your converter to your cam and your cam to what you want out of your car. Look at your dyno graph and see what RPM peak torque is made. You want your converter to stall about 500 RPM below that. Your current cam would be fun with a 2500 to 3000 stall and a mid size cam would want 3200 to 3600. My '00 Z28 is running stock heads, LS6 intake, long tubes, cat delete, and a 6.5 degree overlap mid size cam and I'm making 375 whp on a conservative tune. I went with a Yank SS3200 converter and a Level 2 Performabuilt 4L60E good for 750 whp. At a roll I smash the gas and grab 2nd gear at 5500 RPM. It is a lot of fun to never, ever be in a dead zone of my powerband. Best of luck!
honestly unsure if you meant full bolt on? also have one of these, they're fun lol! I'm just wondering why you went with a blower cam from the LSA instead of a cam designed for n/a use? unless boost is planned? 👀
Beautiful car it's nice to see love for something besides an ss or ws6.i just picked up a 99 trans am about 3 months ago going through it and bringing it back to life it's sad how people treat these cars. I would be very interested in your list of parts and price if it's not too much trouble about to go through mine just kinda lost. First build for me.
Hey are you in the Tampa Bay area ? im currently working on my 94 T/A. 6spd LT1,i also have a 93 Lt1 Z28 auto if my cam choice and head work works out imma gonna treat the Z to more power ! The LT1 sounds badass . If yall are in the area it would be nice to get together get an F body club going . Anyway GR8 video
Hey, yes I am in Tampa. I'm part of a FB group called "Florida camaro and firebirds", they sometimes do gatherings and f-body cruises if you're interested in going that group.
Should have went with aftermarket heads and I guess more cam! 380 seems light for all that work on heads with new cam!! Slap some trick flows or something breathing over 250 cfm
Hey, do you remember what that colour is called? Sadly I wrote off my 94 Z28 a few weeks back.... looking at a new one, which is black, but it might need painted. My other car is black, so I may look at something different. I'm thinking either the stock quasar blue they came in at the time, or something like this.
Went with Motive performance 3.42 gear and pinion set. An entire rear end replacement was out of my my budget. I made another video reviewing the rear end and new transmission, you should check it out if you're making changes.
Nice car dude. I have a 98 z28 with the track package. I only have an slp lid with bellows and original exhaust. Soon I should put on headers and exhaust and it should wake it up. Spoiler and aero kit really keeps it stuck to the road at high speed ie 80 mph plus. I was thinking of getting a corvette and still might but I think I will keep this camaro. Its just too much fun without much expense plus you don't see too many on the road nowadays.
As soon as you upgrade that car you need to upgrade the transmission at least with a good transmission cooler A lot of times they get hot and that's when they burn up just get the biggest trans cooler you could get. tThe derale transmission cooler is perfect you'll be good sicker all day
Nice camaro bud. You should lower it a little though. I've got a complete BMR suspension on mine, lowering springs, lca's, adjustable panhard bar, subframe comnectors, etc.
JK yes kooks long tubes. They fit pretty good, although if you car is lowered your gonna have to be careful over speed bumps and such. It's worth it though.
I mean I’m going thru these comments yes I see what everyone is talking about with all the mods yes he should have more power but at the end of the day it’s his car these were the last best Camaros they ever came out with funny thing is I had an 02 SS 35th anniversary I sold it I for 10k I Kept up with hellcats, ate up mustangs for breakfast so 🤷♂️ 5.7 LS1 6 speed I love it😍😍
For the cost that guys gave me, I could put on an edelbrock supercharger for almost the same as heads and cam. Its crazy what they charge in virginia for that work.
Nice car bro. I think you're missing on more power.... would def get it tuned/dynoed again. 02 SS M6 with lid, long tubes, slp LM put down 341RWHP on a Mustang dyno. I know you're A4 and probably an earlier model year 4th gen but with those mods you should be way over 400RWHP.... probably in the range of 420-440RWHP. Good luck and you're right streetability is very important so it's understandable if you dialed the tune down a bit to make it like stock.
Ughh there is no way he's going to be anywhere near 440rwhp in an automatic with a baby cam of 216/224 and a set of ebay ls6 heads with a 200 dollar port job. Get real.
I would say horse power is low for all that. I’ve got a 02 WS6 with full kooks heads into true duel exhaust with a SLP box with the rubber tube connected to the Throttlebody. Tuned and it made 365hp without H/C/I. Btw mine is a m-6 too.
We have one of these but it's an ss, grey and different exhaust. But I kid you not you have the exact engine setup we have even the headers are the same😂
Nice car man, but see this is what gets me. You have heads, cam, oil pumps, and a bunch of other stuff and got 380hp. I've got a 98 TA auto, with full slp intake and exhaust. ( cold air, MAF, ls6 intake, LT's, high flow cats, y pipe, and loudmouth 1) and I had it tuned and put on a dyno and now it's at 370rwhp. Maybe it differs car to car, but shouldn't your car make a lot more power? I dont know, maybe I just got a freak car that happened to make more power then others.
Agreed! Even my drag times some people with full bolt ones are close to me, idk what it is. Granted it was 105°F when I dynoed, but still, it definitely seems lower for everything I did to it. If I had gone bigger cam, would of easily put me in the 400s though.
@@DickVanNiggz Ya its called a bullshit dyno. 370rwhp with just headers on an a4? Lol riiight. I bet his car doesn't run any faster than like high 12s. This guys car runs low 12s, prolly could get high 11s with a better 60 foot time.
I got a 2004 Corvette C5 .. with baby cam and 799 heads longtibes xpipe .. but stock mufflers I made 380whp and 420lbs torque .. it's a a4 auto .. fun car and very street happy I love it .

Ohh. I did the research and there's quite a bit of modification that needs to happen in order for it to work. I went with a race built 4l60e (made a video review) and I'm happy with it so far.
Yeah you Almost messed up big time and ate that curb!🤣 if your not really good and burnouts and drifting it like that I advise not to do it in the rain and find a bigger parking lot lol🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️
I debated it for a long time. To do it right, it was going to cost almost double, so I went with a built 4l60e. I made a new video with my decision and after effects, check it out if you're interested.

Mexico my a$$.. Nice car thou.
15 lsa cam??? What the fuck?
380 whp and 370 ft lb… little low for a cammed ls1… little much for a 4L60E…
Truth!
No and no
4L60E Can handle 500 HP.
No guarantees tho… 😄
H/C/I is definitely not fully built...
Nice car...Don't listen to all the derps here hating on it. They are slow anyways.
4th gens are just cheap v8s if you dont care how ugly they are, but the lt1s were better

Not “fully built”🤦🏻♂️
Stock bottom end with cam and supposedly head work??? That’s not near fully built!!!
4L80E?
4l60e
No, I mean would that have been an option?
Ohh. I did the research and there's quite a bit of modification that needs to happen in order for it to work. I went with a race built 4l60e (made a video review) and I'm happy with it so far.
He could have, those wwee used in heavy duty trucks.
Alot of haters out here
ceidy perez it’s like that , people love to hate
Hey I have a similar color ss
Yeah you Almost messed up big time and ate that curb!🤣 if your not really good and burnouts and drifting it like that I advise not to do it in the rain and find a bigger parking lot lol🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️
Close but no cigar 😁
T-56 swap.... trust me
I debated it for a long time. To do it right, it was going to cost almost double, so I went with a built 4l60e. I made a new video with my decision and after effects, check it out if you're interested.
TampaBay Builds yeah man I’ll check it out! I am currently building a Fbody too if you want to check it out!
Drive in Tampa traffic and shifting gets old fast. If he gets a RPM 4l60e and a convertor he will be golden.
I hate to say it but those headlights fit terrible
❤❤❤👍💪
