  • Allen continues to talk about his amazingly successful, stop smoking program. He talks about the nicotine trap, and how a series of illusions and misconceptions keep people smoking. They have a money back guarantee and it is pain free.

    My hubby and I watched the DVD and bought the book, we're celebrating two years smoke free next month, we both smoked thirty a day from around age fifteen and Allen Carr's method worked for us.

      Excellent Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Mackorny Smoking Escape Blueprint (search on google)? It is a great one off product for giving up smoking minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my cooworker finally got great success with it.

    This is not a gimmick, or a trick. It works by giving you knowledge and knowledge is power. Power to quit. The method makes you realise that smoking is the trick, smoke and mirrors, if you like.

    I can tell from the bottom of my heart that this method works. Once I understood the trap, I never felt the need to smoke anymore. The solution is very simple. It's like it's staring in every addicts face.

    I stopped ten years ago for a whole year. I Got back into smoking because I was smoking joints, not realising that the nicotine would get me addicted again. I felt indestructible. I had ran a marathon, up at 6am to the gym, doing well in work, healthy, smelt nice etc. I realised that the one joint at night wasn't enough anymore and I would smoke two per night, then three and by time I got to four per night - my mental health was deteriorating due to too much weed and maybe the fact I was being controlled by a substance. I didn't realise that the substance in question was the tobacco, not the cannabis. I then realised that I was a smoker again and stopped putting weed in joints. Back to roll up cigarettes. Here I am half way through the book again and I will not waste another ten years of my life smoking. I may not even have ten years if I carry on. The main reasons for stopping are to be free, and also because I simply don't need to smoke to survive and it's not enjoyable, quite the opposite. I hope to actually join the organization one day and help other stop, even using my story, which shows that you still have to practice the things Allen Carr has taught you, what you took from his method. Don't think you can't fall back into it because you can. The smoking takes over and it's like your brain has erased what you had learnt.

    Rest in peace Allen Carr your one of britains greatest men it's a shame our government and health proffesional did not give you the time of day I wonder why????????

    • @Poisonshady313
      @Poisonshady313 7 років тому +1

      I'll tell you why. There's a lot of money to be made with smoking cessation. And I don't mean products that actually work. (Well, I know Allen Carr did really well for himself, but that's not the point I'm making). Have someone pay for something that has a 7-13% success rate (nicotine gum), and tell that someone "if it doesn't work, try again". Multiply that by the number of smokers in the UK. That's why.

    As I sit here smoking... the message at the end really got me tearing up. I truly felt like he was talking to ME. I really want to quit but I feel as if I am a slave to nicotine. I am going to buy his book!!!

    • @jeshicuhx3
      @jeshicuhx3 7 років тому

      Well Tim, It's been a long time, but I really enjoyed the book. The book really does work (as long as you stay open-minded to suggestion and have at least planted the tiny seed of desire to quit) however, you can't just read it once and expect to have an aversion to cigarette smoke forever.. for me, it took trying vaping. On December 27th 2013, I started vaping with the little black "ego" e-ciggs with the tiny tanks on top that my mom had gotten me for Christmas. Eventually, as I learned more about vaping and became more experienced, I worked myself up to nicer mods, bigger tanks that hit harder and produce more vapor, and found a juice that I absolutely LOVE (Suicide Bunny's The King), and I could never see myself going back! I also reduced my nicotine from 20mg+ when I started to now I am at 12mg. I used to go through a 30mL bottle every week, and now one bottle lasts me about 3 weeks. I can't imagine ever smoking again.. any time I am ever around cigarettes the smell gives me a headache! It's awful.. My teeth are whiter, my lungs are clear, it's amazing! I never ever thought I'd quit. Since 12/27/13 I haven't smoked, and I had smoked for almost 8 years! I never thought I would quit. There's a lot of people that say vaping is just as or more dangerous, and to that I say: bull shit. The thousands of chemicals in cigarettes and tar are no longer being inhaled into my lungs... so I'll trade 4k+ chemicals for a few random ones ANY day. I struggle with addiction, and just the fact that I've been able to completely stop smoking cigarettes is amazing to me! Plus, since cigarettes burn and ecigarettes vaporize, just that fact alone (ignoring the differences in the amount of chemicals) makes it way better for me.

    it worked for me. I'm indebted to my friend that recommended it to me.
    You need you an open mind and stick to it and not throw it in the bin after one hour.
    The message gets ingrained in your mind whether it registers one day later or one month later but it does.

    I have stopped smoking using Allen Carr's method 2 years ago. But I keep falling back into the trap... Each time my mind formulates an excuse to fall back into it. I have read the book several times, and watched the video many times, but after a while, i always fall back. what is it that the clinic offers that the book/movie doesn't? how do i know it is not another temporary solution before i fall back into the trap? on the website it ways that the success rate after 12 months is 51%. this does not in fact sound promising at all.

      I think for you it's more then just smoking, it's an emotional issue. You're using smoking to deal with some kind of emotional thing about yourself that you haven't figured out. You have to do some soul searching.

    Pot is not a addiction lol

    • @callumeggins6562
      @callumeggins6562 7 років тому +4

      it most certainly is... Havn't you realised from quitting smoking that the majority of the issues are mental ( ie habits) and not the physical nicotine withdrawal. If you smoke daily like I certainly did, pot is extremely addictive mentally. Not to mention there are physical withdraw symptoms such as not being able to eat or sleep for about 5 days at the least (obviously u can force tiny bits of food and get 1-3 hours of sleep each day). Don't get me wrong though I don't think pot is evil or anything its great if you can use it in moderation but I know I can't now and I'd say I never will be able to. It takes guts to admit to that though.
