Your' right and I totally agree. I have Depression since I was a child. Everyone knows me as a funny Person, and I am a funny Person, but when I'm alone, most of time I'm a different Person. You can't look inside someone. That's the worst thing about Depression...😐

    • @MamaofaWrestler
      @MamaofaWrestler 4 місяці тому

Chester DID talk openly about his depression, anxiety, self-hatred, fear of failing, and constantly trying to ignore the demons in his mind. All he wanted was to be a good dad. His children are the only ones he tried extremely hard to always hide his depression from his children. But how can ALL the adults in his life claim they knew he had low times, but then he'd be okay. I do NOT believe that. Imo, they said things like that after his suicide because they felt guilty for not openly approaching him on those horrid low days. I'm sure if on that same day, he had some funny experiences but were those adults really that ignorant to think oh, look, he's smiling and goofing around now, so he's not depressed anymore! But inside, feeling relief because they don't have to deal with his sadness for now. Wtf, the truth is: they knew damn well he was FRAGILE. You don't get cured after 3 suicide attempts, periods of addiction, and if everybody was that stupid and selfish, how could they ignore his lyrics? They're all guilty except his children.

I think the saddest thing about depression is you never really know someone is effected by it until its to late. By the interviews he gives nobody would ever know he was depressed. He laughs and cry's and feels and relates just like anybody who is not depressed. Its the moments when your alone when it hits and strikes out of nowhere. I am sure his wife knows but I am sure it was hidden from the children. I feel bad for the Family and people who knew him. I know its not easy to know someone is hurting and you feel powerless to help them. RIP Chester. I hope you found the peace you were looking for.

Knowing HIM since 1999, having his songs synced with my life and won the contest to meet the band (aug.8 2017, Toronto) is impossible be the same person after he left. He took most of what i had good in my life with Him... i just wanted to hug him..no pics or anything...hug him and thank him for "being in my life and helping me" going through everything with his voice, screams and his big heart and courage. life is hard.. and He got as far as he could but the pain won. i know the feeling..I WILL MISS HIM FOREVER! :( LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL...

    Chester,
i want to thank you for being such a big light in my life, for having such a srong presence and fuor having such an impact on my way of thinkng.
i want to than you for sharing yourself with all of us, especially with me..
Words just can not explain how much you impacted my life and the way that i think about life.
Every time i listen to Linkng Park's music im so touched, it sends chills down my whole body, it's like you've said before, their musc is so honest and real, that you can't help but just stop and isten mor closely..
i don't have a lot of songs that just cause's me to actually stop what i'm doing and pay close attension to their lyrics. and with them it's literally every single song..
i know all of their songs by heart, but i will still open up the lyrics while hearing their songs cause they're s special to me..each and every song have such great and meaningful lyrics, so much impact, it abslutly blows my mind..
I was so sad when he died, I was crushed..
and i'm so not the "fan girl" type of person with any artist or actor..it's just not me..
But when he passed I really felt like somone that i love, someone close to me passed away, i was devestated, and still am
now i don't just listen to their music and read their lyrics, i absolutly cry in a lot of them..
    He abolutly cried for help.
it was known that he was strugling with menal issues and addiction (and i think that because i'm strgling with a lot of menal problems is why i had, and stll have, such a stog connection to them and to their music), but i never hought that he would take his own life..
CHESTER, thank you for being such and important person in my life,
thank you for being such an amazing creator, for loving your fans, for loving your beautiful family and loving your band members.
I'm so happy that I got to watch perform, this day was one of the best days in my life.

He was such a regular guy I love to listen him talk he was such a aticulate well spoken person , it sucks that what happened overshadows his accomplishments every time I speak of him everyone gets quiet and changes the subject. He had a great voice and talent let's not forget that . We all need to start talking more and stop forgetting the ones who dont make it.

There's no other artist I miss more than Chester, MJ and Bob Marley too but Chester's music was a cry for help and what so many go through, even myself. He speaks for a lot of people out there who are happy on the outside but dying inside. I hope you have found peace my friend. RIP

We might’ve gotten the chance to hear Chester dig deeper into his love for Madonna, he might’ve mentioned what it was like to be literally on top of the world (with Hybrid Theory) at the same time as one of his biggest idols (with Music), he might’ve discussed how the heavy backlash she received throughout the 90s (before Linkin Park hit it big) leasing up to her triumphant return to the top with the experimental masterpiece Ray of Light inspired him to be unique and not be afraid to take musical risks, he might’ve even discussed his favorite era of Madonna and what precisely he liked about it the most... but no, instead he gets interrupted by “wHaT AbOuT ShAWn mEnDeS???” Ugh.
RIP Chester. You’ll always the one of the greatest legends of all time. 💙

Such a cool and talented guy that inspired so much during all those years and keeps inspiring, Chester's light will always be in this world, he left so many memories for so many people including me, i'm from Brazil and LP is like my second family and Chester's like a old brother that helped in the worst times of my life including the death of my father when i was 9. He was so brave fighting against his demons for so many years, wish i was there to stop his suicide, he was much more than a celebrity for me and i still miss his voice in the songs and in interviews like that, he left a big void in this world :/

Chester was such a class act... I met Linkin Park at a meet and greet at Ozzfest 2001, unfortunately Chester got bit by a spider and had to stay backstage, but he did perform that night and put on a heckuva show! I also saw Linkin Park at Summer Sanitarium in 2003... they rocked.
