  • The Artemis Center focuses on Mindfulness therapy and stress management techniques for a variety of conditions. This video targets treatment for anxiety and depression through mindfulness activities that promote a healthy body mind spirit.
Mindfulness is a remarkable tool for healing emotional suffering; but it is subtle and you need to understand what it really is and how to apply it. Mindfulness therapy has the power to transform relationships and for patients to recapture their lives.
As mindfulness LMFT center, the focus is on helping clients create a toolbox to cope with depression and anxiety, greatly reducing the dependency on medication.
Artemis Tegan, director of the Artemis Center for Family Therapy in San Pedro, California; has studied, practices and lectures on Mindfulness Therapy and the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh.

I am a physician boarded in Internal Medicine. This nice lady has a much better handle on how to help people like me, who have had problems with depression than most all those with much more training than her. Practical, and simple solutions to make things better are always the best way, like what she is teaching. It always helps to have someone to talk to, and this should never be neglected. I do think there is a role for medicine, but there is the more practical role of therapy, which is always helpful.

I know your patient, his name is Al. We're friends from his old church in Long Beach. He's such a sweet guy. I hope he's doing better.

as soon as I realize that I am in a good place, I think about what made me be in a bad place, and I am there again, in the bad place.

Anyone who talks more than they listen, CAN NOT BE THE CURE TO ANXIETY.

So how does the title effect my comment? Yes it says "Mindfulness Therapy session on help for anxiety and depression medication reduction" but Its the first session where he wants to know what future session will be like and the theory behind minfulness. So she has to actually speak to tell him the theory... This is a mindfulness session, but the initial one, not a typical one. Mindfulness Therapy is probable the least verbal psychology therapy there is.

The goal of this video was in part to offer some therapeutic tools that have worked in a clinical setting. Depending on where you are located, my suggestion is to reach out to The Artemis Center or another therapist trained in mindfulness therapy. Best of luck in your journey

Nice voice but I might go to sleep lol she's talking wwaaayyy too much. U have to incorporate your client in the conversation to help them understand what mindfulness means

I dont agree with labeling peoples thoughts as "crazy" not helpful to dismiss someones thoughts and label them as "crazy" it is not validating the realness of their thoughts, its not validating their experiences and quite frankly its dismissive to the client and perhaps a cut in the therapeutic alliance....not an appropriate term for use in counselling.

No one wants my thoughts about this 'professional' therapist...haven't forgotten Tegan how you use, abuse then spit out your clients after your done with them and yes, Barney and I are still together despite your pleas to tell him to leave me-HA!! JMO....
