- Hey guys!
Here is just a short vid, showing the Unimog towing around an HMK Trailer, in several ways.
We tried doing a bit of offroading with it. going over banks and through holes. but the Unimog makes it look like nothing.
We kept it with just the pure sound, because i know you all love that, and for once, the sound quality was pretty good.
The Trailer is an HMK M/91 heavy offroad trailer. with a 1-ton (offroad) payload. it's produced here in Denmark, for the Danish armed forces (And others) and is/was mainly towed by Unimog's, MAN 8's and similar offroad trucks.
The trailer has been sitting still for several years. this is the first time in who knows how long, its been towed.
the trailer will be torn down in near future, and the parts used for other projects. but we just wanted to test it out and show it off, first.
And yes, we are aware that the Mog is smoking a bit. it generally needs a big overhaul, and it's on the ever growing list of things we need to get sorted.

2:20 am, Kentucky USA, just outside of the horse farms. My daughter gave me her cold so I can't sleep. I'm watching lfl Austin acoustic vs Chicago Blitz 2019 on my big screen TV, while binge-watching your channel on my phone. This is life. I really enjoy your Channel.
Thank you very much sir. And i hope you will get well soon
I love the sound on this video! The om 352 sound with the smoke is just wonderful
Fantastic video buddy. Love Unimogs. Great combo
super puper...my dream
Unimog! It has to be in a class of one! This one appears to be fitted (as is the trailer, apparently) with Michelin XS tires. I used to run 7.50 x 16 and later 9.00 x 16 XS tires on both 88" and 109" Series IIA and III Land Rovers. Wonderful tires, particularly in yielding terrain. Never owned or driven a Unimog. But I've had an interest in them since about 1966. Thanks for this video!
Indeed. And yes. They are running the XS tires.
The Michelin tires have long been, and still is, the widely used for heavy vehicles, with the Danish armed forces.
Thanks for watching!
Gotta love that hitch though, have that hitch on an 8.136 and it makes it so easy to hook up and use in general.
Fabulous soundtrack thanks!
thank you for video ...
it does sound great tho
I Like UNIMOG n Love UNIMOG 416
Purrrs like a kitten....
Unimog 416 💪👍
Is there a driveshaft on unimog making it possible to have a propelled trailer?
No, there is no drive for the trailer.
Es un UNIMOG 426? Saludos desde Chile!
Unimog 416
Thanks for watching! :)
01:00 No reverse light?
No. The military trucks at the time, didn't have any reverse lights.
Nice Mog and trailer combo. Why would you use the trailer for parts only? This is a valuable combo.
Seeing you driving around without brakes on the trailer, I'd like to comment. I hope you manage to refurbish the trailer, so you ultimately can use the brake system as designed. Towing a trailer without any brake can end in a desaster, especially when a loaded trailer without proper brakes is pushing the towing Unimog downhill in curves. BTDT. Ok, your trailer was empty and Denmark very likely hasn't got enough mountains to frighten you.
Thanks a lot.
Unfortunately, while the trailer itself is in good condition. All the rubber parts (tires and hoses) are bad. And all the air valves. And the brakes are all rusted together. So restoring it would end up costing moch more then it's worth. But I will be getting a better one, one day, to pair with my Mog.
And yes, I wouldn't drive this on the road. All this was done on my own property.
Thanks for watching!
Om 352 best
Ærgerligt at sen trailer ikke trækker med på hjulene
