  • The Lagos Blue Line Rail is a proposed light rail system in Lagos, Nigeria. It is part of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) project, which aims to provide a reliable and efficient transportation system for the city's growing population.
The Blue Line Rail will span approximately 27.5 kilometers (17.1 miles) and connect Okokomaiko to Marina, passing through various neighborhoods and commercial areas in Lagos. The rail line will have 13 stations, including National Theatre, Iganmu, Alaba, Mile 2, Festac Town, and Orile.
The project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and provide a more sustainable mode of transportation for residents of Lagos. It will also enhance economic development by improving connectivity and accessibility within the city.
In this video, I gave insight into Rail Fares from different stop location a trip on the train after the tracks have been energized with electricity the trains now runs on electricity with an increased number of trips from 12 visits per day when it started commercial operations to 54 trips per day now that it runs on electricity.
The train now moves every 30 minutes from each station from 6.30 am in the morning to 9 pm in the evening from Mondays - Saturdays and during the peak periods in the morning and in the evening on Sundays.
