You chose to not engage in fights with 99% of enemies by doing that and knowing most streamers he prolly just rushed to every boss fight so he didn’t explore or anything.

@@Ar17778 Idk man I think play the game however makes it fun for you - I used mimic the entire way through, and ended up using an really op build for consort radahn because I'm on NG+10 and couldn't be arsed to spend another week trying and failing to kill him. BUT, it's when you use these op builds, not even engaging with the new weapons, and then say the game is too hard when a boss doesn't let you jump heavy attack every two seconds, that really annoys me. Asmon is such a toxic player it does my head in

So I heard people saying Bayle was hard, and his second phase is annoying, and I was thinking he wasn't that hard when I fought him. After seeing this it turns out he never went into his second phase when I fought him. I can only guess that I stunned him right when he was going into it and then melted his health bar too fast with ancient dragon lightning strikes. 😅

Level: 150 Vigor: 50 Mind: 25 Endurance: 18 Strength: 20 Dexterity: 40 Intelligence:9 Faith: 60 Arcane: 7 Talismans: Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, Flock's Canvas Talisman, and Lightning Scorpion Charm Weapons: Bolt of Gransax, Gravel Stone Seal You could go 80 faith, Erdtree Seal, and replace Shard of Alexander with Ritual Sword Talisman if you want to just purely go for ancient dragon lightning strikes but I have 20 strength, 40 dex, and Shard because i wanted to use Bolt of Gransax. Also I don't know when it's intended to fight him but I think my Scadutree Blessing was around 15-18 when I fought him.

@@trevorjamieson8892 18. I'm also in NG+2. Might have had trouble elsewhere because I went for light load for the majority of the dlc, before loading up on the Solitude armour for the last few bosses. Not to worry, next NG we shall have a proper rematch!
@BlackStoneDiamond that's your problem there, I think you went for the dragon too late. From my experience, if your summoning igon for the fight, somewhere between blessing level 10-15 will get you the fight you crave. In theory, I think you're supposed to do Bayle before you kill Messmer.

Omg it has a lot of increible moves, unfortunately I defeated him on my first attempt and I didn't enjoy it very much, in fact, I didn't see most of his movements. I simply gave him the malenia attack (red rot) and with the help of the invocation of the guy with a bow everything was very easy

That means you did 50% of his hp pool in less time than it takes him to do just one animation. Perhaps some build and/or frost damages with great luck coming from mimic and Igon attacking at that exact time made it so you dealt around 30-40k damages in less than 5 seconds ?

FUN FACT: If you look closely at the bosses neck, you can see one of Placidusax’s heads lodged in its neck. This confirms that this was the dragon that fought Placidusax and possibly ended up causing the destruction of faram azula just from their fight. Both dragons sustained major injuries but still survived and maintained their unfathomable power to a certain extent. This disproves the fan theory of Godfrey being responsible for the decapitated heads.

Coolest thing in any video game I've ever seen. The whole time leading up the mountain and the 3 boss fights beforehand! Everything about this had me feeling like a kid again just bursting with excitement! When he did his first flight and lasered fire I was freaking out the visuals, music, and audio of the fire beam was so insane that I had goosebumps across my whole body. I will never forget this fight.
I have played every FromSoft game except Demons Souls. I have seen the coolest attacks and transitions FromSoft has had to offer. And yet nothing has made me react as viscerally as Bayle's transition and laser attack.
bruh the phase two transition and the OST change with the magic wings coming out had to be the coolest moment I’ve ever experienced in a video game 😭I couldn’t even continue to fight after just watched in awe as he flew up and killed me with the fireballs
Fighting this dragon in NG+8 with nothing but Two-Handed "Greatsword" and Proof of a Hero ost is pure adrenaline. Will kill him again in NG+9 with the Dragon Great Katana and Drake armor set to give that pure Monster Hunter vibe.

I admit I HATED fighting bayle, not sure why, I just didn't find his fight fun, but my GOD was the transition such a spectacle. Reminds me of when I first fought Elden Beast with the beautiful choir, and the spectacle of attacks. Beautiful!!

Midir is badass in the way a wounded beast that is cornered and willing to fight to the death. Bayle however badass because he is one of the oldest, vilest, dragons still around. He fought on equal footing with a prime Placidusax and both heavily wounded each other. Basically Bayle is the dragon equivalent of the saying "beware an old man in a field where men die young".

He isn't setting out to display his skills with that build, and he's not obligated to tailor his stream in a specific way. If you watch his livestream you know what you're getting. I go to a UA-cam channel like Ongbal's if I want to see skill at Soulslike. The fact Asmongold gets so many views regardless of using a low skill build just goes to prove my point, that people are watching him for other reasons.

Bayle is deadass one spot behind midir if i were to make a tier list, but its because midir actually moves his head back down for you to have time to hit him after each combo, instead of moving all over the place and never giving consistent punish windows. He also just looks cleaner and i'm glad he doesnt have shitty tracking lightning like every elden ring dragon boss

I had the same experience Bayle was a piece of work for sure though. Sanseax was a hell of a problem because of the water in the area creating those ripple effect AoE's. Torrent hit and run was basically the only viable option without memorizing every single AI action sequence
Guys in this video I almost no hit Bayle and only got hit once in my ng+8 run im so gutted i couldnt do no hit, hopefully in the next ng+ i can 😭😭 Edit: Alright guys I get it, I know all souls games cap out at NG+7, and I just said NG+8 because i’m on my 8th playthrough and I assumed that everyone already knew 7 was the cap so I’ll change the video timestamp and description to 7.
If I'm not mistaken, you can get Bayle's Tyranny and Bayle's Flame Lightning incantations in the Grand Alter of Dragon Communion. If that's what you mean.
@@ghostface490 No, his wings are broken in the fight, so he calls upon a dragon aspect to fly. I really hated how wings were tied to ash of war instead of it being an increase jump height or spell.

I think they could have done way better if the just gave us an overpowered Fire&Lightning Dragon Breath or even just a Dive Bomb that explodes like Mallenias Power and spreads Lava everywhere. This took me like 10 seconds to write and the ideas are already better than what we got.
@@DerNiker I mean, I wouldn't say that his rewards are the worst in the whole game. Placidusax's rewards are by far the worst boss rewards in the whole game. Bayle's flame lightning is better than Bayle's Tyranny, also Bayle's flame lightning is way better than the vast majority of dragon communion incantations and it doesn't have an outrageous wind up like the rest. Bayle's flame lightning is also capable of massive damage within the DLC because most enemies in the DLC are weak to fire damage. I think the problem that people run into is that they don't know when to use the incantations in an active combat situation, like in a boss fight. Also the reason why Placidusax's rewards are the worst is because Placidusax's ruin goes everywhere instead of its intended target and Dragon King's Cragblade is constantly out performed by Gransax's bolt, the only time Dragon King's Cragblade out performs Gransax's Bolt is during PvP.
Just forget about ancient dragons. I think it's the combinaison of utmost stance resistance combined with small legs for a very high body, but the fight against them is so frustrating imo. Perhaps a mage build has more fun, if someone is using magic and would like to share his opinion perhaps ?

Will kill him again in NG+9 with the Dragon Great Katana and Drake armor set to give that pure Monster Hunter vibe.

I admit I HATED fighting bayle, not sure why, I just didn't find his fight fun, but my GOD was the transition such a spectacle. Reminds me of when I first fought Elden Beast with the beautiful choir, and the spectacle of attacks. Beautiful!!

Midir is badass in the way a wounded beast that is cornered and willing to fight to the death. Bayle however badass because he is one of the oldest, vilest, dragons still around. He fought on equal footing with a prime Placidusax and both heavily wounded each other.
Basically Bayle is the dragon equivalent of the saying "beware an old man in a field where men die young".

He isn't setting out to display his skills with that build, and he's not obligated to tailor his stream in a specific way. If you watch his livestream you know what you're getting. I go to a UA-cam channel like Ongbal's if I want to see skill at Soulslike. The fact Asmongold gets so many views regardless of using a low skill build just goes to prove my point, that people are watching him for other reasons.

@@matheusst.3655 definitely not undisputedly. I see a ton of people who still prefer midir and for good reason. Bayle is deadass one spot behind midir if i were to make a tier list, but its because midir actually moves his head back down for you to have time to hit him after each combo, instead of moving all over the place and never giving consistent punish windows. He also just looks cleaner and i'm glad he doesnt have shitty tracking lightning like every elden ring dragon boss

or only lock off if you're going for his left leg, otherwise stay locked on for his head

What can I tell you, Bayle took me 6 tries while Senessax took me more than 20 until I gave up and just did hit and run with torrent
I had the same experience Bayle was a piece of work for sure though. Sanseax was a hell of a problem because of the water in the area creating those ripple
effect AoE's.
Torrent hit and run was basically the only viable option without memorizing every single AI action sequence
Same here. That AOE delay was so annoying. Plus I feel like ancient dragons are just harder to hit in general with the long necks and skinny bodies
Guys in this video I almost no hit Bayle and only got hit once in my ng+8 run im so gutted i couldnt do no hit, hopefully in the next ng+ i can 😭😭

I thought Dark Eater Mydir from DS3 was hard, but this guy was on a whole different level.
Midir was a fight of endurance, not hardship, Bayle takes less time to get killed even though he does resemble Midir in terms of fight design.
Yup mydir has nothing on bayle,its like a worm to a bird.
DS3's dlc bosses look like they come from tutorial levels compared to the bosses in ER, that's how far Fromsoft has come
I really wish they gave us bayles dragonic aspect, that way we could have wing attacks to complete the dragon hand and crucible tail.
If I'm not mistaken, you can get Bayle's Tyranny and Bayle's Flame Lightning incantations in the Grand Alter of Dragon Communion. If that's what you mean.
@@ghostface490 No, his wings are broken in the fight, so he calls upon a dragon aspect to fly. I really hated how wings were tied to ash of war instead of it being an increase jump height or spell.

I think they could have done way better if the just gave us an overpowered Fire&Lightning Dragon Breath or even just a Dive Bomb that explodes like Mallenias Power and spreads Lava everywhere.

@@DerNiker I mean, I wouldn't say that his rewards are the worst in the whole game. Placidusax's rewards are by far the worst boss rewards in the whole game. Bayle's flame lightning is better than Bayle's Tyranny, also Bayle's flame lightning is way better than the vast majority of dragon communion incantations and it doesn't have an outrageous wind up like the rest. Bayle's flame lightning is also capable of massive damage within the DLC because most enemies in the DLC are weak to fire damage. I think the problem that people run into is that they don't know when to use the incantations in an active combat situation, like in a boss fight. Also the reason why Placidusax's rewards are the worst is because Placidusax's ruin goes everywhere instead of its intended target and Dragon King's Cragblade is constantly out performed by Gransax's bolt, the only time Dragon King's Cragblade out performs Gransax's Bolt is during PvP.

FromSoft are the absolute kings of making badass dragon boss fights.
Just forget about ancient dragons. I think it's the combinaison of utmost stance resistance combined with small legs for a very high body, but the fight against them is so frustrating imo. Perhaps a mage build has more fun, if someone is using magic and would like to share his opinion perhaps ?
