In my collection, I have the original 80’s Tales of Teen Titans Kori issue, and I got this issue too. I love comparing the both of them, especially the panels. Like when there was the flashback with Koriand’r and Komand’r and Kori was petting the animal while Komand’r was pouting. Or like when Kori was chained up, I love that she had her original fluffy hair like in the 80’s issue. Great parallels, great story, great comic.
@@StormKoriHQ I have a few issues from the 80’s Teen Titans comics, the Worlds Finest: Teen Titans comics that came out this year, all of the 2023 Tales of Teen Titans solo issues, two Titans United comics, Titans Burning Rage issue #2, and issue #2 of the Dawn of DC Titans. Unfortunately I don’t have any of the 2003 Teen Titans series comics, but it’s on my wishlist! Also, thank you for asking about my collection! I appreciate it. 🫶
I wish that George Perez was still alive, I would’ve loved to see his interpretation on how Tamaran operated in its entirety. EDIT - Sort of like with Dejah Thoris and her new origin story, you can tell there’s a creative difference with the lackluster world building.
I'm still confused on why her past never addresses her brother. I wish he'd join the Titans at some point, especially since he was in Supergirl a few years ago.
@@StormKoriHQ It's a shame, since I'd like to see more Tamaraneans and their culture; the only ones I've ever recalled seeing was Starfire, her siblings, and her cousin, though I've only been into comics or less than a decade, so that could just be me.
It was okay, nothing great, but enjoyable. I think my problem is that my critical eyes are unable to see this as a simple story that doesn't try to be more than what it is since I've seen Kori's solo stories that have been much more interesting. who have advanced her character and challenged her to new and excellent adventures like titans Spotlight(issues 1,2 AND 19) , 52, countdown adventure (yes countdown), her solo series etc... but seeing it as what it is, a small adventure that does not try Doing nothing particularly flashy, I would say is fine. I just think Kori deserves more.❤️🧡💜
The only thing i dislike is the color of her starbolts ,it doesn't make sense the green color ,she absorbs energy from the sun , her starbolts must be like in THE 80's ,redish , pinkish
I love Starfire so much, she is my favorite out of all the DC characters. She is a strong female character that cares a lot for the people she loves and even fights for them! I wish she had more appearances in other comics, because she really deserves it.
The artstyle of this issue is my favourite part of it tbh. I was in the middle of searching for the artist and their other works before you said you didn't like it, which I'm shocked about. I'd be curious as to what you dislike about it, as it is gorgeous, with nice thick lines, all the characters are super expressive and has lovely colours Great video though, I might pick up this issue myself

Indeed! This really was a well done issue.
It's awesome to hear about your collection, too. What other TT issues do you have?

At this point I feel like the answer is simply "the writers didn't know and no one at DC remembered/cared."

Another great video, showing the characters and story real love and respect.
Black fire is not Starfire only living blood relative. She has a brother name Wildfire/Darkfire
Ah, yes. Thank you for bringing that up!
Yeah they rarely mention hem

Definitely enjoying Kori more as a character.

Couldn't agree more! More Starfire is always the right answer
