At least she responded to the Genosho Massacre in general. I just don't see where she would've had time to mourn Gambit specifically, based on how the show was structured. But there's always season 2.

Yeah, Storm had a lot of action scenes back in the actual 90s show. More than she’s ever had outside of the comics. One of my favorite scenes is actually when she was depowered in the savage lands and straight decked the toad mutate. And the scene where Mojo first appeared and the X-Men were getting zapped. Some of them tried running away, but Storm ran straight at Mojo 😂 These small scenes showed how much of a bada** she is, with and without her powers. She was always ready to fight. Must’ve been the big hair.

Instead, she’s one-shot, per usual, on brand I guess 😂😂 it’s like her quote on quote “Omega-level” status disappears. Forgotten.

There has been speculation that Storm is pregnant based on a post on X (formerly Twitter) made by Beau DeMayo which may explain why her whereabouts were not revealed in the season finale. Beau DeMayo did confirm on X that Storm is alive and well in one of the two timelines.

Waiting for season 2 is going to be brutal expectally seeing that post credit scene. A lot has happened over the years in the x-men comics so much potential in future x-men 97 series. But they are not going to put everything in the series. Unless they are planning to make x-men 97 spin offs like Gambit and Rouge or Mr. and Mrs. X. X-men 97 might only get 5 seasons but it seems we might see the x-men going up against the Avengers in the series. As for Onslaught we may have seen Charles wearing Magneto helmet but it doesn't mean we will see Onslaught in x-men 97. It will suck that x-men 97 might only have 5 seasons but if you count x-men 90's animated series that would be a total of 10 seasons.
Storm should have done more while fighting on Earth during the bashing fight thought you was going to win no matter what but she should have put a major debt into the sentinels I mean I guess I can understand her not doing anything in space like the honest trailers for the original animated series at least we did get a lot of storm yelling at nature which I sincerely thoroughly enjoy

Fun finale, but it aside from the rushed pace, the show had it's flaws with how it's characters were done: the season was Jean/Scott-centric, Rogue's love triangle was unnecessary, Storm's depowering was sped through, and Forge, Bishop, Nightcrawler, and Morph just existed to comfort other characters, not have their own stories. And we're getting Apocalypse AGAIN?! I know it's 97, but they could adapt 21st century arcs but set in the 90s now. New characters, please. I'd love to hear your ideas for X-Men shows/future rosters, as well as your take on "X-Men: Evolution." Btw, I hope you're pulling through. Words and condolences can't alleviate how you feel, but it comes from the heart.
Personally I think a Krakoa Era show could really work, because they could even include the X-Men 97 and Evolution "verses" as different timelines prior to the one we'll be following for the main plot. I think if we're having this throwback to the classic era, having something more current is also a good idea next. Orher than that, I echo your sentiments about adapting some newer plotlines & characters within the TAS verse. Honestly we can skip some of this late 90s-Early 00s stuff lol. Don't need to adapt EVERYTHING from the past. Much appreciation for your caring words
@@StormKoriHQ As someone who got into comics around the 2010s, the Krakoan era was the first full era I got to be part of (reading). My only issue is that starting off with it could feel unearned, even if we did flashbacks (which kinda feels like how XMTAS did, working backwards). And a part of me always wanted them to adapt the cringey "O5 come to the present" arc just so we could get XME references--even though the era and would've worked better as an AU than a time travel story, imo. Someone once told me the 2000s decade was the best time for X-Men, largely because so many new and younger characters got to appear. It'd be nice to have an X-Men universe that included X-Factor, New Mutants, and other teams with their own shows. I just hope the next X-Men show has Storm, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Iceman on the roster, as well as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having prominent roles along with being Magneto's kids. Hope making these videos has kept you busy!
With only ten episodes there is so much they can do with limited time. Hopefully in season 2 there will be more episodes now I'm not expecting to have 20 plus episodes like the 90's animated series. It can be 13, 14, or 15 episodes so that way they don't have to worry about rushing the plot.

this whole show was bad. it was WAY too rushed bc beau doesn't know how to write. things were done just to do them with ZERO pay out or development. things happened bc beau wanted them to. they depowered storm & then had her turn her powers off herself.... it was stupid. don't do it if you're not gonna do anything with it! the rogue & magneto thing was gross & messy. they setup strm as omega, but then didn't showcase her power after that.... characters flip sides with no consequences or fallout. thank god beau is gone. ihope season 2 isbetter.
A bigg issue I had was how inaccessible it was. It was a revival, but it was also something toted like new fans could come in and ubderstand what was going on, but given the rushed pacing and uneven character spotlight, it was very hard to get into.

@@1sunshineboi1 The roster is way too big; I would've been fine if the Madelynne sitation lasted a bit longer (the first 3 episodes had a lot going on), and then have Jean and Scott sit one out for a while, with a similar thing for depowered Storm LATER ON. Introduce Sunspot at a later date as well, and include Gambit more so that his death doesn't come off as bad taste due to the love triangle. And an argument someone gave me when I criticized the show was "they're already developed characters since this picks up from the 90s show," but the 90s show didn't do this exactly; because of recording wasn't invented, a lot of the arcs were self-contained, so that even when the show began most characters already felt characterized.

It got attention, but it waned as time went on & the criticisms all came down to writing, pacing, & character motivations. Things just didn't make sense. We were just meant to completely suspend logic bc of beau's inability to write. Big moments only work when smaller moments are allowed to breathe. It was just non-stop action in hopes you wouldn't look too closely. Yet another case of "hey! Look over there!"
