this was so so so helpful ... I was about to give up on Photoshop on Ipad .... thank you !!!! Can you please tell us where we can add effects to text ? glow / drop shadow / gradient / etc ?
Hi! I’m so glad that it was helpful 😊 There are currently no text effects like glow or drop shadow for Photoshop on the iPad unfortunately. But you can do gradient with the Fill tool if you press and hold it. There’s a Gradient option and then you can add it to your text as a Clipping Mask as a bit of a work around. As a work around for drop shadow I’ll rasterize my text and then under the Filter and Adjustments panel (the icon is on the right and it looks like a lightning bolt) and I’ll hit Gaussian blur and I’ll off set it behind my text. Hopefully those tips help but let me know if you have any other questions and thanks again for watching! 😊

Hello, iPad user here. Im taking a photoshop class, i have to change my color profile to American prepress 2. Was hoping you could drop a video on that. Would appreciate it lots
Until I watched this video, all the videos I had watched was deterring me from getting an iPad to use photoshop. I’ve now subscribed and saved this video. I have a greeting card range that is solely font based so I’m excited to start using the iPad on the go. I will be purchasing my iPad very soon. Thank you for a great tutorial 😊
How exciting! That’s awesome that you’re going to use it for your greeting cards. I think it’s a great program and there are plenty of other great apps for the iPad as well that you play with too. Can’t wait for you to get your iPad. Thanks for watching and subscribing 😊
I need a video that starts from step one. I have never used photoshop and need to combine some photos of my artwork that wouldn’t fit on the scanner. I scanned them in halves and now need to put them together. It should be simple but I can’t find a video that shows me from step one.
This is great! Adobe Photoshop on the desktop is sooo hard to figure out how to use (even after hours of tutorials and even a live class), that I gave up trying to ever use it (not very user-friendly). I really like the iPad version as it seems easier to use and much more intuitive. Much better than the desktop that is useless for me. Anyway, you do a nice job explaining this. Thank you so much!❤
The iPad version is such a toy vs actual photoshop. The best way to learn photoshop is thru LinkedIn learning. Get a free subscription thru local library. You can become a pro photoshop user there. Trust me. I have. I knew nothing about photoshop until that and a few books from peachpit Complex means power. The iPad version is useless for serious work.

This is so awesome and helpful! Thanks a bunch. How do I get the small keyboard? I click text, my canvas slides up and I can’t see the text box. Huge keyboard comes up as well. Thoughts on why? Thanks
Hey! Yeah I’m not sure what makes one come up instead of the other but if your big keyboard keeps coming up you can use two fingers and pinch them together to make it smaller. You can also do two fingers spread apart on the small keyboard to make it big again. Hopefully that helps you out but let me know!
