Piscal, good video. You communicated well, and demonstrated your steps in the iPad with clarity. I am LOOOONG time user of photoshop. The iPad version was bitterly disappointing, after using a surface pro, and deciding to give the iPad Pro a shot. Love that device, but not Adobe's efforts in PS and LR. I suffer through it, since both programs are good for the basics. I feel like I am back on Photoshop 3.5 in 1996. You shined some light on it, so I don't have to suffer through trial and error. Being a dad and an IT datacenter architect, I don't have the free time to burn on these things. I thank you for your time. I have subscribed to your channel so I can keep up with the discoveries you make! Photography is a side gig for me, now. Well done.
Hi, do you think it is easier to precisely correct photos for example adding bokeh or sharpening using Apple Pencil with iPad than using trackpad on MacBook ? I am shooting wildlife birds photos
Hey sorry for commenting again😭.. could you make a vid about changing the background of a picture like if the picture background was a green screen or just cut out the person and change the background 😭. On iPad pls🥺
hello, thank you very much for recording such videos, I am thinking about buying an iPad for retouching, can you please tell me if it is possible to resize the image in the version for the iPad?
Hey , for a beginner , do you recommend the ipad for retouching ? Can you do a comparison on which would be better between affinity photo & photoshop as I’m not keen right now for subscription based applications … thanks 🙏🏾
Hey! I would suggest to use affinity photo over photoshop since it does pretty much anything that you need without the monthly, especially on the iPad. I recommend getting the ipad only if you already have a computer/laptop since it will never replace those devices. Personally i enjoy retouching on desktop/laptop. Hope that helps!
To be honest I havent touched photoshop on iPad for months. I hardly commute nowadays so there hasn't been a motive for me to use the app. But I do use the Astropad app which mirrors my laptop screen onto my iPad and I can work in the desktop version of photoshop. It also support the Apple Pencil so that is my set up at home.
Hey @ pisalchan thank you for the video i have affinity photo but its a pain to use and the tutorial out dont really explain retouching realistically you masterfully used this tutorial to show a realistic retouch any time i use affinity photo it makes ceramic skin which i dont love .imma check out your videos more but i subscribed and liked this one hope you get your 2000 followers you have at least one more from me thanks a bunch

It depends on what you are comfortable with. My friend is really good with a mouse and i work better with the pencil.

Duplicate the DB layer before DBing? You loose a lot of control, of you do it in one layer.

@@Piso thanks very much
@@Piso so you do you use any pens or devices when you retouch on your laptop? How do you feel about the iPad workflow today (1 year later)?
