Thank you very much for this tutorial. I've been using Affinity Photo on ipad for about three months and have found it impossible to use, it's just way too complicated for me. I've downloaded the trial version of Photoshop for ipad and it does look parred down compared to Affinity Photo, but your tutorial shows that it seems far easier to work with. I think I'll give Photoshop a try after watching this, thank you.

Hi, I am from Nepal 🇳🇵 . I like your videos and have learned a lot. Whenever i need help in photoshop I prefer to watch your videos than other.
I was watching your old video of blending modes which I think can be very useful but I am not good at. You have explained blending modes in detail but I think it would be a nice video if you can show how each of these blending modes can be used during designing and composition. Even though lots of us know what the modes do, if you can explain where you use which blending modes in your projects, all in one separate video, then it can be a reference video for many like us to just comeback and check whenever needed. Examples and real implications will make it easy to understand I guess. 😊

Thank you for this remarkable introduction. Am I overlooking something obvious, or is it STILL not possible to crop to a specific aspect ratio? I get that we can now define pixel dimensions and interpolation method, but only a freehand crop? I need constraints for common or client-defined rectangles such as 2x3 or 4x5 or 16x9. I need the aspect ratio constraint as much as I need to define pixel dimensions and JPEG quality settings. This is why I put iPad Photoshop aside when it was first released, in favor of Serif's product. It boggles my mind that we have a product capable of, among other things, extremely sophisticated masking, but incapable of helping me to make a 4x5 crop for Instagram. Oh well. This is an outstanding introduction. I'll give iPad PS another chance. Thanks for your thoroughness.

Thanks for this helpful. Any idea why when I click text and then touch the image, the canvas slides up off screen and the huge keyboard pops up. When I close the keyboard, the canvas stays up and off screen? Any grabbing I do to pull it down, moves the text box (though I can’t see that either as the canvas is still up, off screen.) I have hit undo undo and then double tap the zoom to get the picture back. It’s driving me crazy every time I try to add text. Thanks

Hi Jesus, happy new year. This was a well-timed video as I just received an iPad that could load up photoshop. I was a little disappointed with Photoshop for iPad, but I am slowly using it more for composites.
You should use the lighter background for training purposes. The dark is hard to see the writing

Quite good but still i would go for pc.. first because pc is more affordable and more useful.. secondly..ps ipad has very few options

@@karthik8621 yup here in India it's 60 70k INR for iPad i.e. about 1k USD including the pencil. whereas I have a decent laptop with 1650 and i5 9th gen priced at 50k INR, about 680 USD. Moreover, photoshop pc has all the features and power of photoshop. so paying 300 dollars more for lower facilities and let alone pc and laptops have much more benefits overall. Maybe a different case in the states but here the import duty is very high. Furthermore, mid-range laptops can also run most of the photoshop stuff. Back in the day, I had a pc with core 2 duo 1st gen, 2gigs of ram and igpu which supported PS 2015.5 very smoothly until 15 layers. Even the filters didn't lag. You can check my Instagram id @a.n.u.r.a.g720 there you'll see two images one of an ice character and a caveman holding a firestick both made using that pc or u can visit my channel bio. I am the same person from the main comment.
