Well Rabbi Tovia Singer You are a great scholar, Ofcourse The Prophet in Deuteronomy18:18-19 was NOt Jesus! Christians are so terribly wrong & funny! But i have to disagree with you this time in that He is Not Joshua either!! You see in 13:08 you said They feared his words(Joshua's words) but in Deuteronomy 18:18-19 God will put his own words in that Prophet's Mouth! they are not The Prophet's words! they are Hashem's words! And That Prophet will Speak those Divine words in God's Name! And He is from among The Brethern of the Jews not from among them! Meaning from Ishmael because Ishmael is the brother of Isaac. IT's Clear prophecy about Muhammad & The Quran!!! Each Surah in Quran begins with "Besmi Allahi Arrahmani Arraheem"" (In The Name Of God Most Gracious Most Merciful) The Quran is not Muhammad's words it is Allah's (God's) literal words!! Joshua is not like Moses! Moses came with a Law (The Torah),Joshua did not! just followed what Moses brought, and Jesus Never came with any Law.... But Muhammad came with a New Law containing the Torah with some more New details (Sharia Law) Similarities between Muhammad & Moses: 1- Both Began The Prophetic office at The Age of 40 (Not Jesus began at 30) 2-Both involved in battles(Not Jesus) 3-Both were exiled out of their Lands (Not Jesus) 4-Both had Normal births (Not Jesus) 5-Both were Married (Not Jesus) 6- Both Came with New Laws The Torah & Sharia Law (Never Jesus). Deuteronomy 33.2 "'And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them." This was when Moses was about to die! it Says God will Shine from Mount Paran! Paran is The west Coast of Arabia(Saudi Arabia. Not the suggested fake wilderness in the Bible near Sinai There are no Mountains in that paran, But in Our Paran there are Chains of Mountains!! And it says God will Come with a Fiery Law !!! other than that Law Moses Came with ! That's Sharia Law! And 10 Thousands Saints!! perfectly Fulfilled in Islam! The Number of Muslims who conquered Mecca without evena Fight they just cameto do piligrammage! they were 10 Thousands exactly! Habakkuk 3:3 "God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise." Again Teman is the Land of the South! towards Yemen And Mount Paran is in Mecca , in fact one of the Arabic names of Mecca is "Selah"' People used to call it that name even before Islam and Muhammad"s Birth. Isaiah 21:13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim. Isaiah21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled. Isaiah 21:15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war. Isaiah21:16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail: Isaiah21:16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail: Isaiah21:17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it. Exactly accurately fulfilled In Arabia when Muslims in Mecca Fled to Madina Because of The Pagans Of Mecca, and People in Madina received them with water and Food, they fled because they wanted to Survive war and persecution, And After exactly One Year The Muslim who fled to Madina were victorious against The Pagans of Mecca after exactly 1 Year as it was foretold in Isaiah!!! The Battle Of Badr!!!
Brethren) term could be used to distant cousin who are Ishmaelites ) Daniel 2 affirmed that. Islam the only religion who brought people to God of your father Abraham after the 4 kingdoms represented Idolism ( Babylon, Persian, Greek, and Roma )

also, Israel = Jacob, Ishmael was the uncle of Jacob not brother. and again the verse says from within your midst, the prophet like Moses is an Israelite. don't play on the word brethren too much. also G-d said about Isaac the ONLY son of Abraham. again sorry, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but things are as they are.
Danielst15lm Islam is the Clay? How come? Are we the ones who worshiped a golden calf after God had just rescued us with a great miracle? Are we the ones who insulted the prophets of God such as Aaron and Solomon ? Are we the ones whom the prophet Jeremiah was complaining from because they had killed many prophets of God? Are we the ones who refused to fight with our prophet? Are we the ones who throw the law of God because we're afraid from the western media? Abdullah ibn Salam, the great Rabbi in Medinah believed in Islam. He acknowledged that Islam the final message from God by the most elegant language via the greatest servant of God. Muhammad peace be upon him . ======== The 4 kingdoms according to judeo-christian interpretation throughout the history are: 1) *Babylon (the Golden head) as the prophet Daniel himself interpreted that.* 2) *Medo-Persian empire.* 3) *Greek empire .* 4) *Roman empire. Was Roman divided Historically?* the answer is *YES.* There's Western empire & Eastern empire (Byzantine one) . 5) *Islam (the Kingdom of God) that crushed all paganism at that region for definitely.* The Dream was very obvious and clear! You just don't accept this truth.

Abu al-‘Abbās ‘as-Saffāḥ All these points are good, but they still don't show how Moses spoke to God face to face. Jesus and Moses are the only ones to do this. The mystery cloud is how it was done Exodus 19:9, Exodus 7:9, Exodus 20:21, Exodus 24:9-18. Josephus 4.8.48. Check it out.

Muhammed and Moses peace be upon them both, the both got revelation at 40, both have natural births, Musa split the sea, Mohammed split the moon, both came with a law of God. Jews know it’s Muhammed peace be upon him but they reject him. It says you have to follow the prophet like Moses.

@Tovia Singer If Joshua is the promised prophet of Deut 18.15,18, why did the Jews asked John the Baptist if he was the prophet?? If Joshua is the prophet of Deut 18.15,18, who is it that is being referred to in Isaiah 49:02, and 51:16?? Since God putting his words in the mouth of the prophet is one of the identifiers of who is the prophet, is it recorded anywhere that God put his words in the mouth of Joshua?? ● Numbers 27:18-20 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; [19] And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. These teachings always make so much sense and dismiss the misinterpretations from the church who don't have the understanding of the Jewish People. Bless you Rabi Tovia
@Tovia Singer I am a Muslim and i think this is about Muhammed because the prophecy reads:I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. Now before i begin tovia i would just like you to know that there were numerous jewish tribes in arabia because they were expecting a prophet as it says in isaiah 42;11-12 Let the wildreness and towns raise their voices let the settlements where kedar rejoice let the people of sela sing for joy let them shout from the mountain tops and give glory to the almighty we know that kedar was in arabia confirmed in book of ezkiel ch 27:21 where it says Arabia and all the princess of kedar and kedar is a deseandant of ishmeal and in genesis ch 17:20 it says don't worry about ishmeal behold i have blessed him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exeedingly twelve princess shall he beget and i will make him a great nation now i am a shia muslim and i belive this is clear prophecy of twelve imams and the nation is islam and those princess could be the princes of kedar because kedar is a son of ishmeal so we know there is a lineage and i think it says sela because sela is in medina and it is a famous mountain now don't get confused with es'sela because that is not a mountain remember it says let them shout from the mountain tops. And this is a very clear reference to arabs because it says wildreness and towns raise their voices which obiusly matches arabia. Sorry for my bad grammar i am 11 years old so i just wanted to get out of the way that jewish tribes were expecting an arabian prophet. And tovia i just want to let you know that it can't refer to Joshua because it says in deutronomy ch 34:10 Since then no prophet has risen like moses in isreal like the lord knew face to face tovia do you think Allah put that in there intentionally? Any way back to the prophecy it says i will raise a prophet from among THEIR brethern now it is saying that i will raise a prophet from their bretheren in the singular and we know the brethern of the isrealites is the Ishmealites which we know are ancestor of arabs as i just proved. The prophecy then reads like unto thee i will put my words in his mouth we know that whatever that we as muslims belive that everything in the quran is gods word and it says i will put my words in this mouth we know that whatever the prophet spoke we believe it was from god and it then says and he shall speak unto them which is in the singular refering to the ishmalites. And we know that Muhammed is like moses because moses lead his people muhammed led his people muhammed could inflict captical punishment so could moses muhammed was a prophet moses was a prophet it says in the bible that god promises his deseandants the holy lands which is in genesis 12:7 and we know today that a lot of the lands is muslim land that abraham walked on same thing for moses with isreal so i think this prophecy does refer to Muhammed and also about the isaiah thing here is a miracle from the quran ch 26: 197 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? (:
@Tovia Singer i forgot to mentioned because i dumb dumb it says in deutronomy ch 18:18-19 it says I myself will call to account who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. We know that prophet muhammed spoke in the allahs name every chapter of the quarn says IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST GRACIOUS THE MOST MERCIFUL and we know this is a next scripture because it says who does not listen to my words we know this is a new scripture because the isrealites did follow torah no matter what when moses and josh was around.
Deuteronomy 34:10 says A prophet like Moses PBUH will NEVER come from Israel. PERIOD. Clearly it means This prophet has to be from Gentiles. WAKE UP!!!
It doesn't say "will not rise in Israel", it says "has not risen in Israel". Muhammad wasn't a prophet to begin with. Btw keep reading from verse 10 And it will tell you why Moses was unique and then compare with Mohammad.....Muhammad never did any of them!
@@seanchaney3086 firstly, the Old Testament you have today is corrupted. This is proven. Secondly, you didnt respond to the points raised up. Thirdly, a militant in Arabia? You mean the one who declared war on idolatry for the Lord as prophesied in Isaiah 42? The one who banned killing non combatants, woman, children, the weak, the religious figures, the old, the sick, and so on... As for your Torah, which has it that God commanded Moses to kill the women, male pre pubescent children but to keep the female pre pubescent children. You are using this verse to show that JOSHUA was the prophet like MOSES pbuh: BUT YOU NEED TO CONTINUE THE VERSE : Deuteronomy 34:9 - "Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses." Deuteronomy 34:10 - "Since that time NO PROPHET HAS RISEN IN ISRAEL LIKE MOSES, whom the LORD knew face to face," THAT MEANS THAT THE PROPHET LIKE MOSES pbuh IS NOT FROM ISRAEL OR AN ISRAELITE. This prophet was the one who would take the Israelites into the promised land, which was Joshua of Nun.

@@I77RAELAURA You are nit following Hd_power.. In Deuteronomy 18:15 Moses( pbuh) is talking to his own community (Israelite) in 18:18 after he talked to Hashem telling to the Israelite around him that Hashem will bring up a Nabi from their brother (Ishmalite). Speaking about Deuteronomy 34:9, Joshua here mentioned by name, he does not need to be explicitly explained in 18:18. Think brother. Book of Isiah 29 12 And the sefer is delivered to him that with the sefer has no da’as, saying, Read this, now; and he saith, I cannot read this. With sefer I have no da’as. Who is this talking about here? While revealing the Quran by Allah (swt) through Gabriel, the very first verse is 'Iqra' means 'Read' (Sura Alaq 96:1). And in reply to this Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) answers 'I cannot read'(in prophetic tradition). You will not find his answer in the Quran because Quran is the Words of Allah or Hashem. Please think about it.
Muhammad got his words from an “Angel” so it couldn’t be Muhammad, the verse says I will put my words in his mouth, which is God speaking threw him, not from an “Angel” that only Muhammad could see and be the only witness to
@@tnrtnr7706 It means delivered orally to the people that the Prophet (a human being) will deliver it to people as an oral words of God not in a written form. @rami I dont know. However I dont think it reasonable to say it was Joshua since this very statement was directly after Joshua being raised as a leader and this directly says that noone was like Moses. Now of course this could have just been a eulogoy kind of exaggeration so who knows but when we start to reinterpret explicit statements we are stepping on a slippery slope. 9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[b] of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses. 10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 who did all those signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt-to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. 12 For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
@rami by that definition every prophet would be like Moses. Which could be possible however the fact that the very same books that mentions the prophet like Moses, also says that Joshua was not like Moses makes it not likely imo. When there is an explicit statement (raise a prophet like Moses) and an explicit denial of the alternative in the same book (raised Joshua no prophet has risen like Moses) then I don't think the alternative can be made reasonable via indirect reasoning ("I am with you as I was with Moses", "they feared him as they had feared Moses").
@Blue Green yeah, obviously if I ask a christian about it its gonna be Christ or John. If I ask a muslim about it, its gonna be Muhammad. I'm listening to Rabbi Singer and his circle to get the jewish side.
@Blue Green 1) how did I get you wrong? I said: "if I ask a Christian, he is gonna say Christ or John". Your entire comment is about Christ being that prophet, just as I said. I mentioned Muhammad because its just as believable as Jesus (if you believe the new testament, its Jesus, if you believe the Quran, its Muhammad) 2) this is not an argument just a derogatory statement by implying that if I only used my logic I would clearly arrive to jesus The jews were also waiting for a leader that would be "punished with a rod wielded by men" when he sinned (2 Samuel 7), save the jewish from the Assyrians (Micah 5), would bring an age of peace (Isaiah 11). This particular statement (a prophet like Moses) could be about Jesus, but others dont fit. Thats why Im curious if the jews actually have an answer for it which doesnt contradict Deuteronomy 34:10. A - Abraham also talked face to face with God (Genesis 17). And so did Elijah (1 Kings 19) (depending on what it actually means to know God face to face since these encounters are very similar to the ones of Moses) Also Deuteronomy 34 says that no prophet has risen who performed such signs. Joshua dried up the Jordan (Joshua 3), made the sun stand still (Joshua 10), Elijah resurrected the dead (1 Kings 17) so its not so clear cut. Jesus and Moses were not the only ones who performed miracles, nor was Jesus the one who lead the jews. Joshua did a lot more for the jews than Jesus. So "a prophet like Moses" is a really underdefined statement. B - Jews were also scattered all over the world hundreds of years earlier than Jesus so you cant say it was because they killed Jesus. They have been killing God's prophets for centuries so its nothing new (1 kings 19:14, Nehemiah 9:26)
@Blue Green you are right, I thought I read somewhere that some sects consider John as a possible prophet like Moses but I cant find anything like that so I'm probably just misremembering. However the rest stands. Because the quran covers a lot of the same thing as the old testament. They acknowledge some jewish prophets (especially Moses) and claim to represent the same God. They also use this very sentiment (prophet like Moses) to point to Muhammad, considering Muhammad is a lot more like Moses than Jesus (a normal born man as opposed to virgin birth incarnation of God) Where did you get that muslims reject the Torah? "He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel" (Quran, sura 3 (Ali 'imran), verse 3) "But why do they come to you for judgment when they ˹already˺ have the Torah containing Allah’s judgment, then they turn away after all? They are not ˹true˺ believers." (Quran, sura 5 (Al-Ma'ida), verse 43)
if Tovia Singers admits that this verse makes reference to the prophecy of Muhammad he will lose his job and the prestige that he has among the Jewish people. So he will never tell you the truth.

In the gospel of John, it says some Jews asked who John the Baptist was. They asked are you Elijah, the messiah or the prophet. From commentaries, I have read this last figure refers to the person in Deuteronomy. It would be interesting to know if some of the Jews at this time were expecting someone else for this verse and what their beliefs about it were. Later they seem to have a problem with this figure coming from the Galilee. For those that don't believe in the gospels, I would say neither do I (not as we have them now anyways) they are a historical record for some things. For example we hear many Jewish practices being confirmed at this time through the NT as a historical document.

Joshua didn't bring a new law and if you read Deuteronomy 34 he is immediately ruled out along with anyone from Israel. Let's compare the prophet Moses and the prophet Mohammad. Both were separated from their mothers at a young age, their fathers died before they were born, both had to flee with their people to escape death and persecution, both engaged in physical fighting, both brought a new law from God to their people. Obviously, the prophet Mohammad is much more similar to the prophet Moses than Joshua.

To tornado 1. You have a covenant with Almighty God as written by Jeremiah 35:18;19. This was an everlasting covenant that there would not be cut off from Jonadab son of Rechab a man to stand before God always. This was due to the descendants of Jonadab not drinking any wine according to his command he put upon them. My Elohim contrasted the obedience of the Rechabites with the disobedience of the descendants of the 12 tribes of Israel. I was told about favour for Muslim people who are obedient to their God who has much love for them also I was told Yah'weh my Elohim loves Ishmael and intended that Ishmael should be born before Isaac. These three linages are important but it is only the people obedient to God's law who will be blessed in the coming judgement.

Let’s look at Yeshua’s qualifications - is He really the “Prophet Like Moses”? First off, He’s definitely from “among the brothers” of Israel, so that’s a good start. The Prophet must be Jewish, and Jesus’ heritage was from the tribe of Judah. Both were shepherds - Yeshua said, “I am the good shepherd”, and Moses also tended sheep - figuratively and literally. Both were sent to bring salvation after 400 years of apparent inactivity from God - the Israelites had been enslaved for 400 years in Egypt, and the 400 years before Yeshua came had been notably silent years from God. Both fasted for 40 days and nights - Moses while on Mount Sinai, and Yeshua in the Judean desert, when being tempted by Satan Both spent time in Egypt as children (as Yeshua had to be hidden there for a while as a baby to escape Herod) Both were born at a time when evil kings pronounced death to all Jewish baby boys in the area - Pharaoh had commanded all Hebrew baby boys to be drowned at birth, and Herod had issued a command to kill all baby boys under the age of two. Both were miraculously rescued from that threat Both were called by God to lead and save Both did miracles to testify to their God-given authority Both instituted a covenant of blood that brought salvation for many - Moses with the Passover lamb’s blood on the doorposts, Yeshua, Lamb of God, brought in the new covenant in his blood on the beams of the cross Both were given God’s public stamp of approval with an audible voice from heaven, heard by the crowd - Moses at Sinai, and Yeshua at his baptism Both gave up great riches to lead a humble life of service and poverty - Moses from the palace of the King of Egypt, Yeshua from the heights of heaven. Both were noted for their great humility (Numbers 12:3, Hebrews 11:26-27, Philippians 2) Both were initially rejected by the Jews when the foretold salvation didn’t seem as if it was going to happen. When Moses first challenged Pharaoh, things got a lot worse for the Israelites, leading to despair and anger. Yeshua’s crucifixion looked like a hopeless defeat. Both salvation situations initially looked like the promises were not going to come true. But they did. Both were criticized by their own families - Mary and Yeshua’s brothers in Mark 3:20-21, and Moses’ sister and brother in Numbers 12:1. Both were willing to sacrifice their own lives for the sake of those they were leading, and to pay for the sins of their people - Moses in Exodus 32, and Yeshua’s own readiness to die on our behalf is evident in the Garden of Gethsemene Both miraculously provided the people with bread to eat - manna was sent from heaven for the Israelites and Yeshua famously fed the multitudes. Twice. Both were accepted by Gentiles - Moses’ father in law, a Midianite, instantly believed (Exodus 18:10-11) The Egyptians too came to believe that the God of Israel was real and true. And the non-Jews readily accepted Yeshua’s message of salvation. Under Moses, all those who believed him, those who followed the instructions and put the sacrificial blood on their doors, were saved from death. This means that all those who left Egypt had taken a step of faith and been saved. They were no longer just Hebrews ethnically, they had become a faith community. Similarly, under Yeshua, all those who appropriate his sacrificial blood, shed for us to save us from the power of death have entered into the faith community of those who follow Him. Seven weeks (50 days) after the Exodus, the Israelites waited upon God to receive the Torah - now that they had been saved, how then should they live? God gave Moses His covenant and instructions on how to live as a faith community. Seven weeks (50 days) after the resurrection, the disciples waited as Yeshua instructed them to receive the Holy Spirit, and the church was born - a new faith community, and a new way to live as believers. Both of their faces shone with the glory of heaven, as was noted by people who saw them - Moses had to wear a veil over his face because it was beaming so much, and Yeshua’s disciples saw His glory on the Mount of Transfiguration. Moses chose 12 spies to explore Canaan, and Yeshua chose 12 disciples. Moses appointed 70 rulers over Israel, and Yeshua sent 70 disciples out to share the gospel. Moses led the people out from slavery into… the wilderness. 40 years of wandering, hardship, and a lot of lessons learned the hard way - but all with God’s help and presence. The promised land would come only later. Yeshua has redeemed us into… life with Him, still on this fallen earth. A limited time not without pain and struggle, and many lessons learned the hard way - but all with God’s help and presence. The life we were created for with no sickness, pain or death is yet to come.
The NT is not from G-d, so you don't prove anything by quoting it. It is an anti-semitic book of lies and pagan fairy tales. There is no evidence that Jesus existed. However, if the NT is accurately describing him, he was a violent, deceitful man who committed many serious sins, and encouraged other Jews to sin also. He qualifies as a false prophet. G-d commanded us (Deuteronomy 13:1-12) NOT to follow anybody, like Jesus or the NT authors, who tells us not to follow Torah, or to follow other gods (like Jesus) that our fathers did not know. We already have the complete truth in Judaism. Anything that contradicts the Hebrew bible, like the NT, the Koran, or the Book of Mormon is obviously not from G-d. It's not just that Jesus didn't fulfill ANY of the real messianic prophecies (e.g. - world peace, universal knowledge of G-d, resurrection of the dead, all Jews back in Israel, Temple rebuilt and sacrificial system restored, etc), the NT contradicts the Hebrew bible on just about every theological point. For example, there is no trinity in the Hebrew bible. G-d is one (Dt 6.4), He alone is our savior (Isaiah 43.10-11), and He is not a man, so He does not lie or change His mind (Num. 23.19). The Christian concept of messiah, a virgin-born, dying and rising man-god/savior, is from paganism, not the bible. The real messiah won't be divine, so we won't worship him. Worshipping a man, like Jesus, as if he was a god, or G-d, is idolatry.
Just give up already. The only thing holding you to your belief system at this point is your ego and arrogant internal self righteousness. Listen child, there is NO Jew by the name of jezus who will ever be coming to 'save' you. And certainly not my people.
@@guyguy5842 Jesus is God, Prophet, King, Great Priest and Son of Man. Godhead is not as simple as you might like to understand. Your ignorance show that you're too simplistic to make sense the nature of God. Jesus was an agent of God, or part of God Himself, whatever, He is from God, from above, and He spoken of as God Himself, much like 'The Angel of LORD' in the Old Scriptures. He speaks with Authority, as if He is the God Himself, and NOT as He is a mere prophet.
One of the major points made in Deuteronomy 34:10 is that this prophet would know Yahweh face to face like Moses (Exodus 33:11). Neither Joshua or any other prophet or false prophet (Muhammad) knew Yahweh face to face except for Jesus Christ; therefore, Jesus Christ fulfills the identity of this prophet (John 1:1; 5:19-20, 8:28, 12:49, 14:24).
People, people, people...I implore you to read and obey the Torah to the glory of Hashem without delay. Your life will never be the same. God declares in Psa 19:8 that "the Torah is perfect." Please trust Him. Together we can all make this world a better place.
But even though this verse means Joshua directly it also hints at his namesake Jashua.Tanakh is a Book that is meant for literal and non-literal renderation. When it speaks about animal sacrifices it hints at Jesus indirectly. And many other verses should be understood this way-you take it both literally and metaphorically. That's why the NT claims this verse's messianic value. And also, rabbi, you say Jesus' being God for Christians makes Him invalid for this verse. But I want to remind you Tanakh verse that says: You will speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I will be with your mouth and his, teaching you both what to do. Thus he will be your spokesman to the people, in effect; for you, he will be a mouth; and for him, you will be like GOD. Now take this staff in your hand, because you need it to perform the signs.”
Deuteronomy 18:15 "The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; UNTO HIM YE SHALL HEARKEN". And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; HEAR YE HIM.

Read the below passages that show that this prophet is Joshua and not Jesus. Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, which you are to possess, hearken to diviners of [auspicious] times and soothsayers, but as for you, the Lord, your God, has not given you [things] like these. ~ *This passage says that the nations seek witchcraft and other evil ways to find out solutions to their problems & questions but that Israel should not and follow the prophet that G-d will setup for them after Moses is not there.* Deuteronomy 18:18 I will set up a prophet for them from among their brothers like you, and I will put My words into his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him. ~ *This passage in context is telling the people that the prophet who is setup in place of Moses will guide them* Deuteronomy 32:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ *Moses is telling Joshua that he will be the one that leads Israel into the land and fight for them* Numbers 27:14 Because you disobeyed My command in the desert of Zin when the congregation quarreled, [when you were] to sanctify Me through the water before their eyes; these were the waters of dispute at Kadesh, in the desert of Zin. 15 Moses spoke to the Lord, saying: 16 "Let the Lord, the God of spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation, 17 who will go forth before them and come before them, who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be like sheep without a shepherd." 18 The Lord said to Moses, "Take for yourself Joshua the son of Nun, a man of spirit, and you shall lay your hand upon him. ~ *Moses is told he cannot enter the land. Moses asks for a person who will lead the people and G-d tells him Joshua would be that person. So clear* Deuteronomy 27:19 And you shall present him before Eleazar the kohen and before the entire congregation, and you shall command him in their presence. 20 You shall bestow some of your majesty upon him so that all the congregation of the children of Israel will take heed. 21 He shall stand before Eleazar the kohen and seek [counsel from] him through the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. By his word they shall go, and by his word they shall come; he and all Israel with him, and the entire congregation." 22 Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, and he took Joshua and presented him before Eleazar the kohen and before the entire congregation. 23 He laid his hands upon him and commanded him, in accordance with what the Lord had spoken to Moses. ~ *G-d is telling Moses to anoint Joshua. Tells Moses that some of his majesty on Josua. G-d also clearly tells that the people should follow Joshua* Deuteronomy 31:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ *Moses declares Joshua as his successor in front of all Israel* Deuteronomy 31:14 And the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, your days are approaching [for you] to die. Call Joshua and stand in the Tent of Meeting, and I will inspire him. So Moses and Joshua went, and stood in the Tent of Meeting. ~ *G-d tells Moses that he will die soon and clearly tells that Joshua will take over* Deuteronomy 34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and they did as the Lord had commanded Moses. ~ *Clear as day that Joshua succeeded Moses and all Israel obeyed him* Joshua 3:7 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.~ *G-d himself is speaking here that Joshua will be like Moses* Joshua 4:14 That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses. ~ *G-d exalted Joshua & Joshua indeed was able to succeed Moses and the people were in Awe of him*
These all are Prophets of Allah, Moses, Isa, Mohammed Sallahu Alayhi wasalam. All had same message that there is only one God that is ALLAH... Believe it....
Prophet like Moses? Obviously, is . . . Joshua the Son of Nun; He replaced Moses and took the Jewsih people into the Promise Land. Prophet like Moses Obviously is MIchael (Malachi 3:1). Do you see it. And thiat's the difference between knowing Hebrew and reading translations. It's not Jesus acts 3:22
why do people go that far just to overlook the rest of the verse? read the verse and see from which nation will the prophet be, what criteria will the new book - Gods words- sent with him be. Aren't Gods words- opinion in the verse being discussed the only opinion that matters if He is truely your God besides others? the Rabbi said that
Rabbi i didn't get it. The verse says a prophet from their brethren who i put words into his mouth. Jesus was a Jew and Moses was a Jew . The idea of their brethren is out of the picture. Thats why we need to look at prophet Muhammad who is exactly as the verse says. In other place it says he is not literate if you read the Koran its all about Moses and one time prophet Muhammad said that.
Moses is mentioned by God in the Koran more than 120 times. Muhammad is mentioned only 4 times while Jesus is mentioned 25 times. If you read the old testament and compare with the Koran and the qualities of Muhammad. You will see that he is nothing short of looking like Mose peace be upon him
Deut 34 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses. 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel. Joshua was not the prophet.

are you deluded, if Jesus is god then how is he like Moses and how if God saying to Moses I will raise a Prophet like you that was Jesus speaking to Moses according Christians.
It is not about what people will follow and whom they will follow, question is about Moses like prophet Do you think Joshwa was like Moses? How is it possible as Moses brought sharia and Joshwa followed that same sharia.
First of all, how is Jesus not like Moses? 1. Both were ruled in a time where Gentiles ruled over Jews. 2. Escaped death as babies when rulers decreed the killing of Male babies. 3. Both fled to/from Egypt to escape death. 4. God the Father was both with Moses and Jesus. 5. Moses was sent to save Israelites and Jesus sent to save the world. 6. Both got their words and teachings from God the Father. 7. Both performed miracles in front of followers that still didn't have faith. 8. Moses' first public sign was turning water into blood, Jesus' first public sign was to turn water into wine. 9. God gave Moses power to split the sea, Jesus walked on the sea. 10. Moses , through God, gave his people water, Jesus gave living water. 11. Moses, through God, gave people bread. Jesus is the bread of life. 12. Both fed thousands of people miraculously. 13. Both fasted 40 days and Nights. 14 Moses received God's law on a mountain. Jesus gave the law on a mountain. 15. Moses, through God established the Passover. Jesus in the Passover lamb. 16. Moses made bronze serpent on a pole that healed people. Jesus died on a cross so people turned to him would live. Jesus was the perfect man, servant, and savior. And was able to enter the true promised land. Secondly, Deuteronomy 34:9 says, " And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses. 10And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, 11none like him for all the signs and the wonders that the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, 12and for all the mighty power and all the great deeds of terror that Moses did in the sight of all Israel." Joshua simply does not meat the requirements to be a prophet like Moses.
Plus its mentions our prophet Muhammad pbuh in you torah verse isaiah 29:12 Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, "Please read this." And he will say, "I cannot read." This is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD PBUH. HE WAS IN THE CAVE AND THE ANGEL GABRIEL CAME TO HIM AND SAID THOSE EXACT WORDS. PROPHET MUHAMMAD PBUH COULDN'T READ OR WRITE. HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO WRITE HIS OWN NAME.
Just to brighten things up a bit, I have to ask. Hopefully, someone here has seen DeMille's THE TEN COMMANDMENTS recently. After the Red Sea was parted and "The Hebrews" are marching through the opening, the song sung by the bearers of Joseph's body--is it an actual Judaic song or one created for the film? One verse says something about "...many colors was his coat..." If it is real, what's it called?

Moses and Jesus are the only prophets to have stood face to face with God, and to have performed God's miracles. Moses was a man who had sinned and would sin again. Jesus, however never sinned and perfectly imaged the Father. Moses was the prophet who led God's people out of Egyptian slavery, but he was unable to lead them into the promised land. Jesus led captivity captive, bringing with him all who were declared righteous before his death burial and resurrection to heaven to be seated in the heavenlies. Jesus was the perfect prophet spoken of in Dueteronomy 18:15 and the perfect deliverer. Hey, don't argue with a free gift from God. God desires all men to come to him through the surrendered and perfect sacrifice of a sinless man on the cross. Let's stop segregating ourselves and just be men created by God and in need of his grace given through Christ. Humble yourself to receive what God has planned from the beginning of creation, and let's praise our amazingly wonderful Father in heaven, amen. PTL

Each Surah in Quran begins with "Besmi Allahi Arrahmani Arraheem"" (In The Name Of God Most Gracious Most Merciful)
The Quran is not Muhammad's words it is Allah's (God's) literal words!!
Joshua is not like Moses! Moses came with a Law (The Torah),Joshua did not! just followed what Moses brought, and Jesus Never came with any Law.... But Muhammad came with a New Law containing the Torah with some more New details (Sharia Law)
Similarities between Muhammad & Moses:
1- Both Began The Prophetic office at The Age of 40 (Not Jesus began at 30)
2-Both involved in battles(Not Jesus)
3-Both were exiled out of their Lands (Not Jesus)
4-Both had Normal births (Not Jesus)
5-Both were Married (Not Jesus)
6- Both Came with New Laws The Torah & Sharia Law (Never Jesus).
Deuteronomy 33.2 "'And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them."
This was when Moses was about to die! it Says God will Shine from Mount Paran!
Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the
earth was full of his praise."
Again Teman is the Land of the South! towards Yemen And Mount Paran is in Mecca , in fact one of the Arabic names of Mecca is "Selah"' People used to call it that name even before Islam and Muhammad"s Birth.
Isaiah 21:13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
Isaiah21:14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him
that fled.
Isaiah 21:15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of
war.
Isaiah21:16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of
Kedar shall fail:
Isaiah21:16 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of
Kedar shall fail:
Isaiah21:17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the
LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Two persons, a Muslim and a Jew, quarrelled. The Muslim said, "By Him Who gave Muhammad superiority over all the people! The Jew said, "By Him Who gave Moses superiority over all the people!" At that the Muslim raised his hand and slapped the Jew on the face. The Jew went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him of what had happened between him and the Muslim. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent for the Muslim and asked him about it. The Muslim informed him of the event. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not give me superiority over Moses, for on the Day of Resurrection all the people will fall unconscious and I will be one of them, but I will. be the first to gain consciousness, and will see Moses standing and holding the side of the Throne (of Allah). I will not know whether (Moses) has also fallen unconscious and got up before me, or Allah has exempted him from that stroke."
Thank you Rabbi Singer. Good to hear, and also see the joy and love you have for Ha Shem and His Torah.
Muhammad was a goat herder at best. Oh, and also an admitted pedophile.
Btw keep reading from verse 10
And it will tell you why Moses was unique and then compare with Mohammad.....Muhammad never did any of them!
Muhammad peace be upon him

@@seanchaney3086 firstly, the Old Testament you have today is corrupted. This is proven. Secondly, you didnt respond to the points raised up. Deuteronomy 18: 18 CANNOT be about an Israelite as no Israelite will be raised up that will be like Moses. So if cant be an Israelite, it will be the brothers of the israelites, the Arabs. Yeah it is dangerous to Quote one verse but your doing the same thing and Verse 9 defeats your claim
You are using this verse to show that JOSHUA was the prophet like MOSES pbuh: BUT YOU NEED TO CONTINUE THE VERSE :
Deuteronomy 34:9 - "Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israel listened to him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses."
Deuteronomy 34:10 - "Since that time NO PROPHET HAS RISEN IN ISRAEL LIKE MOSES, whom the LORD knew face to face,"
THAT MEANS THAT THE PROPHET LIKE MOSES pbuh IS NOT FROM ISRAEL OR AN ISRAELITE. SO HE MUST BE FROM THE DESCENDANT OF ISHMAEL pbuh.
THAT MEANS IT'S THE PROPHET MOHAMMED peace be upon him
read Deut 18 - 15 "from your (Israel) midst from among your BRETHERN (not distant cousins)"the like me means like Moses in authority, not prophecy.no one had and now ever will have the level of prophecy Moses had.
Why are you adding "Not distant cousins".
Brethren of Israelite cannot refer to another israelite.

brethren of Israelites are fellow Israelites.
the verse says from among your midst meaning from among your own people not some dude from arabia.

While revealing the Quran by Allah (swt) through Gabriel, the very first verse is 'Iqra' means 'Read' (Sura Alaq 96:1). And there was no other prophet who arose in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face
I mentioned Muhammad because its just as believable as Jesus (if you believe the new testament, its Jesus, if you believe the Quran, its Muhammad)
2) this is not an argument just a derogatory statement by implying that if I only used my logic I would clearly arrive to jesus
The jews were also waiting for a leader that would be "punished with a rod wielded by men" when he sinned (2 Samuel 7), save the jewish from the Assyrians (Micah 5), would bring an age of peace (Isaiah 11). This particular statement (a prophet like Moses) could be about Jesus, but others dont fit. Thats why Im curious if the jews actually have an answer for it which doesnt contradict Deuteronomy 34:10.
A - Abraham also talked face to face with God (Genesis 17). And so did Elijah (1 Kings 19) (depending on what it actually means to know God face to face since these encounters are very similar to the ones of Moses)
Also Deuteronomy 34 says that no prophet has risen who performed such signs.
They also use this very sentiment (prophet like Moses) to point to Muhammad, considering Muhammad is a lot more like Moses than Jesus (a normal born man as opposed to virgin birth incarnation of God)
Where did you get that muslims reject the Torah?

With all the respect. The prophet refers to Muhammad (saw).

Joshua was not like Moses. He didn't bring a new law

Both fasted for 40 days and nights - Moses while on Mount Sinai, and Yeshua in the Judean desert, when being tempted by Satan
Both spent time in Egypt as children (as Yeshua had to be hidden there for a while as a baby to escape Herod)
Both were born at a time when evil kings pronounced death to all Jewish baby boys in the area - Pharaoh had commanded all Hebrew baby boys to be drowned at birth, and Herod had issued a command to kill all baby boys under the age of two. Both were miraculously rescued from that threat
Both were called by God to lead and save
Both did miracles to testify to their God-given authority
Both instituted a covenant of blood that brought salvation for many - Moses with the Passover lamb’s blood on the doorposts, Yeshua, Lamb of God, brought in the new covenant in his blood on the beams of the cross
Both were given God’s public stamp of approval with an audible voice from heaven, heard by the crowd - Moses at Sinai, and Yeshua at his baptism
Both gave up great riches to lead a humble life of service and poverty - Moses from the palace of the King of Egypt, Yeshua from the heights of heaven. Both were noted for their great humility (Numbers 12:3, Hebrews 11:26-27, Philippians 2)
Both were initially rejected by the Jews when the foretold salvation didn’t seem as if it was going to happen.
Both were willing to sacrifice their own lives for the sake of those they were leading, and to pay for the sins of their people - Moses in Exodus 32, and Yeshua’s own readiness to die on our behalf is evident in the Garden of Gethsemene
Both miraculously provided the people with bread to eat - manna was sent from heaven for the Israelites and Yeshua famously fed the multitudes.
According to you Jesus is god and not a prophet and also how is god going to raise himself
He speaks with Authority, as if He is the God Himself, and NOT as He is a mere prophet.
hinjolicious 1 Corinthians 14:33
One of the major points made in Deuteronomy 34:10 is that this prophet would know Yahweh face to face like Moses (Exodus 33:11). Neither Joshua or any other prophet or false prophet (Muhammad) knew Yahweh face to face except for Jesus Christ; therefore, Jesus Christ fulfills the identity of this prophet (John 1:1; 5:19-20, 8:28, 12:49, 14:24).
Lmao. Isra Mi'raj was an event when Muhammad SAW go beyond Boundary that even Gabriel cant step his foot there. He talked to God face to face.
so Jesus is a prophet, not a god...got it, thanks.
People, people, people...I implore you to read and obey the Torah to the glory of Hashem without delay. Your life will never be the same. God declares in Psa 19:8 that "the Torah is perfect." Please trust Him. Together we can all make this world a better place.
Name of the song?
Adon Olam, it’s also a prayer as well
muhammad is prophet like Moses its muhammad!
Here you may be right.
But I want to remind you Tanakh verse that says:
You will speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I will be with your mouth and his, teaching you both what to do.
Matthew 171-5 "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
@@narminagasimova1952 NONSENSE! NOT his namesake...you people just make things up as you go, don't you? Joshua in Hebrew is YEHOSHUA...no yeshua. NOT the same name.
All prophets should be loved and respected equally, for they all came for one message : There no other God worthy of worship except God Almighty.
BTW! Rabbi, Islam is not a movement, and I am sure you know it.
Read the below passages that show that this prophet is Joshua and not Jesus.
Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, which you are to possess, hearken to diviners of [auspicious] times and soothsayers, but as for you, the Lord, your God, has not given you [things] like these. ~ *This passage says that the nations seek witchcraft and other evil ways to find out solutions to their problems & questions but that Israel should not and follow the prophet that G-d will setup for them after Moses is not there.*
Deuteronomy 18:18 I will set up a prophet for them from among their brothers like you, and I will put My words into his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him. ~ *This passage in context is telling the people that the prophet who is setup in place of Moses will guide them*
Deuteronomy 32:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ *Moses is telling Joshua that he will be the one that leads Israel into the land and fight for them*
Numbers 27:14 Because you disobeyed My command in the desert of Zin when the congregation quarreled, [when you were] to sanctify Me through the water before their eyes; these were the waters of dispute at Kadesh, in the desert of Zin. So clear*
Deuteronomy 27:19 And you shall present him before Eleazar the kohen and before the entire congregation, and you shall command him in their presence. G-d also clearly tells that the people should follow Joshua*
Deuteronomy 31:7 And Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous! For you shall come with this people to the land which the Lord swore to their forefathers to give them. And you shall apportion it to them as an inheritance. ~ *Moses declares Joshua as his successor in front of all Israel*
Deuteronomy 31:14 And the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, your days are approaching [for you] to die. Call Joshua and stand in the Tent of Meeting, and I will inspire him. So Moses and Joshua went, and stood in the Tent of Meeting. ~ *G-d tells Moses that he will die soon and clearly tells that Joshua will take over*
Deuteronomy 34:9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and they did as the Lord had commanded Moses. ~ *Clear as day that Joshua succeeded Moses and all Israel obeyed him*
Joshua 3:7 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses.~ *G-d himself is speaking here that Joshua will be like Moses*
Joshua 4:14 That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses.
It's obvious is Joshua, just read Joshua 3:7,
Joshua 4:14
Read Deautronomy 34:10.
Yildirim E Hind spot on!
why do people go that far just to overlook the rest of the verse? read the verse and see from which nation will the prophet be, what criteria will the new book - Gods words- sent with him be.
You will see that he is nothing short of looking like Mose peace be upon him
Deut 34
9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
Joshua was not the prophet.

Isn't it interesting that Joshua is the exact same Name as Jesus! The prophet that is like Moses. And His Name is Joshua i.e. Yeshua i.e. Jesus!!!
Yes. *See also Zechariah, chapter 3.* - the name is no "coincidence" at all !
Servant of יְהֹוָה - 1 God - 1 Torah Isn't the Name of Jesus the same name as Joshua? This is a yes or no question.
Alvï
Well, I know that they are two different people, that's quite obvious. Yeshua is the contracted form of Yehoshua, so it's in fact the same name.
Servant of יְהֹוָה - 1 God - 1 Torah
Dude, you can't even answer a yes or no question right. Wow!
are you deluded, if Jesus is god then how is he like Moses and how if God saying to Moses I will raise a Prophet like you that was Jesus speaking to Moses according Christians.
It is not about what people will follow and whom they will follow, question is about Moses like prophet
Do you think Joshwa was like Moses?
Secondly, Deuteronomy 34:9 says,
" And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses. 10And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, 11none like him for all the signs and the wonders that the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, 12and for all the mighty power and all the great deeds of terror that Moses did in the sight of all Israel."
Joshua simply does not meat the requirements to be a prophet like Moses.
What about Deuteronomy 34:10
Wasn't there a time Ezra was considered like Moses?
Muhammad pbuh
*Why didn't Moses name Joshua?*

Great respect for u Rabbi. No offence but ur believe and clear understanding makes u very similar to our belief system.
PTL
