Love love love how beautifully you’ve explained this! Thank you also for showing the shots from all angles and even overhead! Much appreciated! Subscribed! 💕
Excellent back court footwork drill. Your instructions and methodology are clear and concise. I hope future footwork drills will combine the six directions. You might also consider one that focuses on the transitions in the six directions for the singles player without movint to the six corners.
I like your videos. They're quite bigenner friendly. I struggle moving backwards. I have this fear of stumbling and it's actually happened to me. Hopefully l can apply the drill next time on court.
That's awesome. Thank you for showing me the right way. I have been using the wrong way and have lost balance a few times and also leg injuries. with the correct way, I have played my game better and its so helpful especially when I get pushed back to the back of the court. Thank you!!
Once your ankle experiences sprain you can be prone to it. I sprained my ankle once every month for 3 straight months. So i was more conscious on my warm up making sure i move my feet in every possible direction to warm it up well… take care😁🏸
Hello Madam you are awesome. Your videos are worth watching and you make every technique very easy to understand. I have been watching ur videos for some days. I request you to post a video series for learning footwork in all directions in a week.
You can check out these footwork videos: 1.) ua-cam.com/video/TVDE1FIaFm0/v-deo.html 2.) ua-cam.com/video/KLlQ0CUEIMI/v-deo.html 3.) ua-cam.com/video/0mBMQbASxZY/v-deo.html. 4.) ua-cam.com/video/7REE98r01N8/v-deo.html. Hope you enjoy them as well! Thank u! 😁🏸
That will depend on your level/ skill and age... but usually i make my players do 20 reps x 3 if its a daily routine and slowly build up to 5 sets ... 😁🏸
Understand how to execute the shot by watching: ua-cam.com/video/7ey-Ub0yVWQ/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/uv1yI9FNyvI/v-deo.html And practice as often as you can!😁🏸
That was really helpful, but Mam for me, if i focus on footwork then my hand and how to take the shot goes for a toss, can you please help me the whether to focus on holding racket first or footwork ?
You can google my full match at the 2005 MVP Cup Asia vs Europe when my brother and i played england’s olympic silver medalist nathan robertson and gail emms😁🏸
A racket is personal for me. I prefer a light racket but many friends including my own brother/partner likes heavier racket thats also bec. he likes to smash and heavy rackets help better with smashes while i like a more placing type of game so i like my rackets lighter. I suggest for you to go to a shop checkout their rackets and grip it... see which one feels good for you. 😁🏸
Thanks very much coach. This is very helpful. I have a question, how do you recover if you smash on the backcourt. I mean, what is the steps you need because the ball travels too fast, I think you don't want to just walk like you show in this video?
Thank you for your feedback. The instructional is meant to be slower to be able to see how the movements are done correctly. Then you can move faster with the right footwork. Your question may have a lot of answers: 1. Practice the footworks and do it as fast as you can. 2. Do specific drills on a faster pace like if someone were to feed u shuttles you can smash and do that 20-30 consecutive times focusing on speed. 3. For more advanced players, your opponents style will be taken into consideration if you should speed up your pace back to the middle or not... Hopefully we can slowly address you and many other players’ question as we do more videos! Again, many thanks!
When you teach beginners and basics it is important to remind players to go back to their base but ofcourse when you’re an advance player, the play is much faster and you need to go directly to where the shuttle is headed ... 😁🏸

The racket grip is most important then footwork😁🏸

how to reach back court in center
It will depend on where you are coming from. Is it from a serve, from the front or from the middle/base area? 😁🏸
Hi mam, can you suggest the best racket for all round play for singles
