    Excellent back court footwork drill. Your instructions and methodology are clear and concise. I hope future footwork drills will combine the six directions. You might also consider one that focuses on the transitions in the six directions for the singles player without movint to the six corners.

    Hi mam, can you suggest the best racket for all round play for singles

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому +1

      A racket is personal for me. I prefer a light racket but many friends including my own brother/partner likes heavier racket thats also bec. he likes to smash and heavy rackets help better with smashes while i like a more placing type of game so i like my rackets lighter. I suggest for you to go to a shop checkout their rackets and grip it... see which one feels good for you. 😁🏸

    Thanks very much coach. This is very helpful. I have a question, how do you recover if you smash on the backcourt. I mean, what is the steps you need because the ball travels too fast, I think you don't want to just walk like you show in this video?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  5 років тому +3

      Thank you for your feedback. The instructional is meant to be slower to be able to see how the movements are done correctly. Then you can move faster with the right footwork. Your question may have a lot of answers:
      1. Practice the footworks and do it as fast as you can.
      2. Do specific drills on a faster pace like if someone were to feed u shuttles you can smash and do that 20-30 consecutive times focusing on speed.
      3. For more advanced players, your opponents style will be taken into consideration if you should speed up your pace back to the middle or not...
      Hopefully we can slowly address you and many other players’ question as we do more videos! Again, many thanks!

  • @victorpante3498
    @victorpante3498 4 роки тому +3

    Coach why running back to the middle instead of doing footwork more effective?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 роки тому +2

      When you teach beginners and basics it is important to remind players to go back to their base but ofcourse when you’re an advance player, the play is much faster and you need to go directly to where the shuttle is headed ... 😁🏸
