Nice to see some “old school” forehand serves on here, you teach it well. It may be considered old school but I have always used it to good advantage. While I have learned and occasionally use the backhand serve, I have shoulder problems and the backhand serve causes me pain. The forehand is still the best for disguising and fooling opponents and I frequently score 2 or 3 points per game with a good serve. It would also be nice to see a video on body-shot serves (fast and directly at the player) as well as playing fast down the line to a player’s backhand as these options often take the receiving player by surprise (as long as you don’t overuse them). The music is quite annoying and while I appreciate it is a personal thing/subjective, I don’t think it’s necessary to have music playing throughout the video, maybe just at the opening and closing sections of the video would work better. Just my opinion and I hope you take it as intended as constructive criticism.
Yes i fully agree with u on still using the forehand serve especially with its deceiving factor. With regards to the music we’ve already made adjustments to our newer videos, this one is an old video but still appreciate the concern. Thanks and keep enjoying badminton! 😁🏸
Thank you mam this was an amazing vid I needed to learn this serve as I was only doing backhand service in doubles and singles and i was goot at it, but recently I realized backhand is not enough and I need to learn forehand so my opponents dont get used to my serves Once again Thank you :)
Thank you Coach Kennie. When I started, I played only singles. My serves were good and came naturally. Then I joined a club and played nothing but doubles/mixed for many years. When I reverted to singles for an occasional game, I had lost the high serve. What had previously been very natural and fluid 20 years earlier, now feels unnatural and mechanical. I find myself using excessive hand/wrist action and either hitting onto the wrong side of the court or out of court, and rarely reaching the back line. This is embarrassing, which makes the shot even harder to get right!!! 😳 I will try what you teach here and hope to cure this difficulty. Best wishes x ♥
Don’t pressure yourself unneccesarily. You just need some time and i am confident with a few practices you will be able to do what u used to. Go go go! U can do it!!😁🏸
You're the first person I see teaching and demonstrating all the variations of the forehand serve in one video and with high quality. Thanks a lot. May I suggest to lower down the music volume or put something less distracting.
Hi ma'am thank you so much for your advice I am intermediate player but I was making mistake in forehand serve it was soo helpful for me thank you so much☺️☺️
@@CoachKennieAsuncion I watched 10 of your videos, all was best. My coach had told me those things, but he didn't went deep. You cleared many of my doubts. So, Thanks a lot🙏❤️🤗

I am an ex-hockey player new to badminton (I'm 52 years old). Is there any.tips that you can give for helping with the timing of the shuttle drop & swing on the long forehand serve? Or is it just practice practice practice and more practice? Thank you!
You just need time and practice. I believe if u used to be a hockey player that u would have good hand and eye coordination, its just the speed of the shuttle u need to get used to. Looking forward to you getting better at badminton😁🏸
When you do serves you must be within the box of your score (even number score rights side or odd number score left side) do not step on the line as it can be called fault. When you serve to the reciever, you can serve to him anywhere within his box😁🏸
Thank you. My opponent doing service from the position near to side lines to my back hand near to end of my box. I'm failed to return it because of the shuttle is near to side box and back box. Hot to return it madam
Hello Ma'am, can i do a Forehand service, parallel to the ground but below 1.15 metres ? So as to serve from one corner of the court to another ? Kindly respond.. Thankyou
Nakakamis po talagang mag badminton! Pere at least kahit hindi po kayo nag tuturo in person meron naman po kayong tinuturo by making a video on youtube
3:48 Your racket is so high is that a fault? I just played state level tournament and my forehand serve style is also same as yours but that time umpire told me that racket shouldn't be high and if I do that next time that will be considered as fault serve 🤔..
Fake shots are very useful in the game when opponents move around really fast but the key is to have the same movement when you are doing a particular shot or when you make a fake return the difference would be on the touch to the shuttle at the last minute... 🏸😁
I am already retired from competitive tournaments and do full time coaching but you can look for mvp cup asia vs. europe. Played for asia with my brother Kennevic Asuncion... 😁🏸

Calling the fault is seen when the head of the racket is in contact with the shuttle. 😁🏸
