The defamation one is super easy to avoid. Don't post under your real name and don't post details that identify you. Post a review a month later about something vague like "poor service" and they'll have no way to follow through. If you post something like "I was in room 222 on 14th September" then you're putting yourself in danger.
Excellent video brother! This stuff is probably more important than learning about the 3 day rule and stuff like that. Keep up the great work, love your channel! I also appreciate the way you edit makes the videos flow and keep me interested. Also just wanted to rant about all the creepy Thailand videos that some people make just walking around like a creep and filming girls I prefer your honest takes and advice over that crap. Cheers!

On my best mate's second visit to Thailand(while I was living there) after me re-telling him how to say Hello, thank you and goodbye and sorry and cheers etc he went to Lumpini stadium and while making a bet he put a 100 Baht note under the leg of his chair, one of the serving ladies freaked out(but realised he was sorry, even though he was saying Khop Khun Khap instead of Kor Thot Khap)...bad place for that mistake, I know quite a few Thai Army guys and when I won about 6000 dollars at a casino on the border(not gonna say exactly where) there were a few of them near-ish, I had to get them to collect me as there were a few geezers our to steal my money back, it got a bit tricky, I have a LOT of stories from South East Asia.

If a policeman signals you to stop your car or scooter on country road, come tostand in a 2-3m safety distance to him !!! That's another law

What if you leave a good rating like 8 out of 10 for a hotel but mention in your review that a few of the older staff had horrible customer service but said the younger staff were amazing and friendly? Is something like that going to get someone in trouble?

8:48 In 2014 I was in a bar there and a guy pulled up porn on his laptop. Made the girls feel uncomfortable. Real awkward situation. Guy was an asshole. Don’t think he got arrested. Don’t know what happened to him later.

I never knew about the no shirt riding a bike rule ? It must be different I guess in Phuket being a Beach island , heaps of people including myself ride around on scooters with no shirt on.
Second week in Patia, they got me for no helmet. Luckily it was just 1000.
The guy had a point in that I didn’t have an international license either, so my fine should have been 2000. They even had a laminated sign. DEF a scam, but it’s a good one.
They cut you a break on the fine. Nice to know they can be cool about some things.

You got scammed and its going to happen to you again there. Happened to me 13 times and look for ANYTHING to get the 1000 bribe

International licence for car from home is good enough for driving cars & scooters.

No. You are buying a commodity that may lose all it's value, but your still buying something with a record of the transaction. It might be viewed as a gamble buying it, but the gamble doesn't start until after you own it.

its not illigal to walk around with no shirt , its illigal to drive with no shirt , it is however illigal to walk around with no underwear
