I totally agree with the feeling challenged thing. When you get that good 180 and you turn back and face that fish that’s tracking you, oh he don’t like that.
I use my Fred roumbanis swimbait rod which is rated up to 2 oz for my s waver 168 and my jackall ganteral jrs. It’s got that perfect parabolic bend. Considered a medium heavy moderate action. I haven’t lost a fish that I’ve hooked up with yet on it!
I was eye-ballin my 7'9" Fury n box of glides just now..I got a 300 power handle on top; 20lb Sniper ; but can't seem to get my retrieve down to actually go "trophy huntin". Hit me with a lesson,Ol @HeavyGator!! GTSY out on the water man! You have my attention & ready to scratch down some notes..#bassfishing #glidebaits #trophybass
I bought one of these in a Threadfin color even though we don't have threadfin in my lakes but the color of it looks like tons of different bait fish so don't limit yourself on colors because that threadfin color don't only look like a threadfin it looks like about any bait fish
Howdy! Yeah bass fishing got pretty tough on the home lake so had to find some other fish that would bite. 😂 But bass are coming back now. I don’t film as much anymore, as I’m usually in the backroom working on the site or working on biz ops stuff. But Im trying to film a little more now. Be more bass stuff this fall. Got a creek smallmouth video coming soon.
@@kenmccarthyfishingnot sure what you are referring to. I never use braid for swimbaits. And I can’t remember the last time I had a trolling motor issue. So not sure what you saw. 🤷🏽♂️
@@Wired2Fish if he’s referring to me I use P-Line CXX or Gamma Polyflex. No braid either. No trolling motor problems either. I still use an old fashioned hand control motor. Pretty reliable. Those fancy trolling motors are out of my budget. Still running 2D sonar also.
It just takes one good day with it. I tell guys to just go one day in the spring when the fish are shallow and throw it all day long and see how many fish show themselves. And then play with retrieves.
Soft tip I've found to be a must for maximum action out of a glide too. That and at least a 7.3.1 gear ratio.

The savant is an awesome shad bait rod, I love mine. The hooks that come on the chadshad’s are decent but the points roll over easy
Thanks! Yeah the hooks need to be changed fairly early. I keep a file in my travel bag for that reason.
Thank you Jason! I really appreciate your insight and candid discussion on glide baits.

This video is about as exciting as watching paint dry! 😅
Right?! 😂 people have told me I should make ASMR audiobooks….
Man the way you hold the fish between two trebles gives me goosebumps and PTSD

Great video and the glide bait is amazing 👏👏❤️
Thanks! It’s a fun one!
a peice of yellow electrical tape above the head helps make it easier to track, also.
Yeah. I’ve always used the silver vent tape.
I hope to get my chad shad from TW. I prepaid for it. We shall see
I think they are hitting soon. Been coming in waves every 3 or so months.
Long time no see. I thought you gave up on the bass and started pan fishing.
😂🤣 🤔isn’t this the same guy that had a broken trolling motor and had a video saying that he only uses braid🤷
@@kenmccarthyfishing me or Jason? I’ve never made a youtube vid in my life if your referring to me. Jason hasn’t made a bass vid in over a year now.

What happened to the Xpress?
Nothing still got it. I was in Arkansas so I was borrowing a friends old Xpress.
I love glide baits. Just don’t have confidence in it.

Great video Jason!🤘
Thanks! 👍 I appreciate you watching!
Wished I could my hands on one
I think the next wave is about to hit. So should start showing up in a lot of retailers again.
What kind of boat is that?
Really old Xpress that is kept outside and used on small lakes by a friend.
Who is the angler?
It’s me. Jason Sealock. Publisher of wired2fish. 😂 I don’t make videos as much anymore. I used to make all of them way back when we started.
Fast eddies?? You ain’t in the Kentucky lake area are you??
Enough talk and put the fish back in the water! 😔
Somebody get him a vacuum for that carpet.
Haha. A borrowed boat. It stays out in the weather a lot.
By the looks of it a vacuum would probably just pull it right off the boat
