I just thought I would mention on row "7" of the "Shine like a diamond, you begin with 2 dbl crochets...You actually do 2 sc,...No biggie, just thought I would mention it. I think that on the seventh row you start with single crochets and not double as you stated. Perhaps using a lighter yarn would be easier to follow, because you do go faster than one can keep up.

Hello Mikey, I enjoyed your tutorial and I love the "dragonfly" stitch work. My piece came out great. I did however want to mention that I took a close look at the picture of the "scarf" in Pinecrest and the design is different than the pattern from your tutorial. Any idea why? Perhaps the pattern was
modified?Just curious. I would like other crocheters to take a close look at the picture in Pinecrest to see if they see what I mean. Anyway Mikey you are a wonderful educator. It truly does not look like the one in the same design. Keep smiling.

Mikey If you think that looks like dragonflies, then please tell me what you think of butterfly prayer shawl looks like, I wrote her and told her that her holes may look a little like butterflies but the yarn definitely look iike dragonflies, its on utube by Joan Elisha!

hello! i ve just finished the whole shawl but there are no instructions how to do the edging around it.The pattern says that the first row is only a series of sc,but it doesnt say where i do them.
I will be grateful for any help you can provide.
Stop the video @ 16:57 the view of the edging is perfect, once you go around with the sc, then continue the pattern chain 3, sc; chain 7, sc; chain 3, sc around to beginning point, then 3 sets of 3 dc, with a chain between sets 1&2 and 2&3; sc in top of 3ch space......

The pattern says row 3 ends in a double treble, not a plain treble. Was there a reason you changed it up? (I also noticed the pattern text did miss the "Ch1, sc in hdc" to start Row 2, while the diagram was right.I always do prefer the diagram myself. Easier to visualize.)
I have a question.....on the picture it looks like a rounded triangle shawl. Is it more of a rectangle? I don't see how we get to a triangle...Thanks

How many balls of Patons Metallic do you need to make this?? I get confused on how to substitute yarn. I have 2 balls but I haven't found a pattern I liked to use it with it.
You could probably make a scarf with that much but I doubt that is enough to to make a shawl. In his explanation of the pattern he mentioned multiples of 10 +2 for the starting chain. I would suggest 42 for a nice wide scarf. Maybe even join the ends to make it a cowl. Hope this helps.

so the photo shows one item and then you state you are going to do something totally different, well obviously I would have preferred the one that caught my eye initially.
Well obviously, YOU didn't watch the video. He shows a sample of how to do each row. If you can't figure out how to read a crochet pattern or to even decipher what he's telling us in the video, maybe you should watch some more beginner lessons or crochet alongs.

I'm not trying to be rude. I have misophinia. I think you're a great instructor, however I have a hard time listening because I hear EVERY time you swollow. I listen to others on UA-cam and don't hear them swollow. Maybe you could get technical help so it's not heard??
