lol love the Gladiator....Have one that matches. I have not done as much as you have but its sitting in the Garage waiting to be put on. Awesome rig man. Gave you a sub.
I had zero patience for the build, I had the wish list planned out a year before I bought it. I took all of the should have's from our JL build and made them must haves for the JT.
@@WarthogOverland yep I know the feeling. I planned and planned then bought it and started ordering. Have a few item installed but the winch and bumper are still in box. Will get to it prior to heading into bad country. .lol.
Do you have any updated comments with regard to the Clayton suspension? I’m fairly close to getting mine which is a white 21 JTRD and I keep flipping between the 2 1/2 and 3 1/2.
I did do a 1 yr review last month and still have no regrets. I was flipping back and forth for about a month like you are before getting the 2.5. I am still higher then other 2.5 brands. Did the Jeep Blessing with Trail Expedition who's on a 2.5 AEV and he couldn't believe I was only on a 2.5. My biggest 2.5 reason was driveshafts. I wanted the steering kit over driveshafts. Also if I wanted to move up down the road to 3.5, I only need to change the springs or just add spacers. I actually feel if I did go with 3.5 Clayton, my 37's would look small. The package says 2.5, the invoice says 2.5, but your really getting 3+ because of there spring rates and little to no sag.
Congratulations on your gladiator, I’ve owned 14 jeeps but I’ve never had a gladiator I just purchased one the other day only have 36 miles on it brought it home and it’s already stripped in my garage my parts are showing up this week lift kit suspension tires wheels etc. mine is black just like yours except I have the V-6, I’m excited about it I think it’s going to be a great backcountry vehicle👍👍👍👍👍
Again, another great vid. This is the second time I’m watching this vid lol. It’s that good. The first time I watched, it prompted me to call Clayton and talk with them for 25 min. Dope folks. Got a question. I’m thinking of going with the exact same setup, this is my first Jeep and I came from a 21 Ford Raptor. Would you say this suspension is soft, medium or firm? I’m hoping it’s capable of being of the softer side if wanted.
Thank you, It is definitely firmer compared to a Raptor. It does brake in over time. On the soft settings it's better than my JLU Wrangler with Fox shocks but it's not the floating Cadillac feeling I was hoping for lol. Then again it could be all the weight and my wheels/tire choice. Overall, I do love them and plan on getting them for the Wrangler also.
@@WarthogOverlandthat’s awesome and thank you for the reply. I think I’m going to get a rubicon and start with the 3.3 shocks and level the front. I’m only wanting 35’s so maybe this will work.
Was going to ask what those wires were on the hood but while I was typing this it got to that point in the video where you explained it...problem solved!! Spectacular looking Gladiator! Did you re-gear it for the 37s?
@@WarthogOverland right on. I served nine years in the Air Force National Guard and got out as a staff Sergeant. I worked with the A-10 warthog jet all nine years.
@@TrailExpedition That's awesome!! We lived by Nellis before moving to MI, always a treat having them fly over our house daily. THANK YOU for your service 🙏
@@WarthogOverland right on and thank you. Yeah, I did six years at the Battle Creek base and transferred over to Selfridge for another three when the A10 was sent there.
@MSgt4246 Thank you, enjoy those big blue skies out there. Lived in LVNV for 20 years and missed the seasons and had to come back to Michigan. Have alot more respect for MI now that I left and came back.
Voswitch pillar 4 button for light bar, pillar and bumper lights. Rock lights tie into the bed light switch, chase lights and bed rack lights tied into the factory Aux switchs along with bed power for fridge.
Nice idea, wiring in some rock-lights to the interior light switching. Nice rig.
Clean build brother! Proportions; function; styling; access; economics; every detail wow! Lots of thought and research! You crushed it 👍🏼
Great looking Gladiator. I like what you’ve done to it. I also like the reference to the A-10’s! They are my favorite CAS platforms.
Thanks for introducing us to Thunderbolt.
Great looking JT Rubicon!! Best wishes for great adventures!
Clean build!
Got 37s on my JL rubicon ecodiesel. On 3.5" metalcloak, love it!
Wish i could visit that area, looks like a lot of fun.
Absolutely gorgeous! I just got my JT a few months ago. I gorgeous some mek magnet body armor to help with the pin stripping
Awesome rig! 🙌
Thanks, you and the Dirty & Dangerous crew have been an inspiration. Keep up the great work in BC
Pin stripes are coming! Nice rig!
So not looking forward to it 😅
Looks good man
Very nice build i also live in Michigan
excellent presentation.

Great Build ! I see we have similar taste. I have a Sting Grey build I am currently building.
Our JL is Stingray, wanted a JT in the same color but options were slim and couldn't pass up the deal on this one.

Wow beautiful truck. And with a diesel.

Thanks for watching. No re-gear, the EcoDiesel still has pleanty of torq and hits 8th gear often. Avg 17 city and 22 hwy mpg's
Машина огонь👍👌
What hoop is that on the steel front bumper?
It's the Warn 102355 low grill gaurd
Also, I’m kind of putting two and two together here. Judging by the channel name and the GAU-8 in the photo, did you work with the A10 jets?
I'm a USN E-7 Brat, health wouldn't allow me to serve. Aviator dream, A10 was my and still my favorite.

Is there any issue with overheating?
No overheating issues at all with the 5k I have put on it. Ran the A/C on the trails last weekend and it was high 80's/ low 90's
@@WarthogOverland have you towed at all
@ryanjones3571 no but there is another person in the comments that said he tows a 20 ft GeoPro
Did u change the axles?
No, stock axles, stock gearing. Barely noticed torq change and mpg's dropped by 2
I love mine :)-
Looks great! What auxiliary lightning did you install?
Voswitch pillar 4 button for light bar, pillar and bumper lights. Rock lights tie into the bed light switch, chase lights and bed rack lights tied into the factory Aux switchs along with bed power for fridge.
How’s the diesel reliability I wonder 🤔
Will be a year in March and I've put 10k miles on it with zero issues. Still runs and drives the same.
👍👍
