Love the way the Jeep came out. BUT personally there are quality parts that accomplish the same thing without as much body/frame modification that the motobilt stuff requires
Ok wait how do you do a frame chop number with doing the frame chop the point is to gain approach angle. The point of the bed is to beef up the rear end to take hits, fix departure as well. I know of nothing else on the market that does those things without that work. Do you have any examples?
@@RockstarGarage I understand the point of the bobbed bed where you obviously have to chop the frame but the bumper and the rock sliders you can accomplish similar without all the modification needed to install the parts
I think the misunderstanding is there is a bumper replacement and frame chop bumper replacement. Both have their reasons and function but are not the same.
Good question! The rubicons have features that the sports do not have for instance a lower crawl ratio in the transfer case. Also using a rubicon it can handle the tire/wheel combo because their locking axles are a bit more beefy than a sport. They also retain their resale value better than lesser models.
Transfer case, axle housing (yes the same as max tow on a sport), off road plus modes(yes, only tech). For the cost difference one could argue that the transfer case alone is worth it. But when installing 30k in mods(the bed replacement+paint was 10k alone), the 5k swing from whatever trim to rubicon doesn’t really matter.
Don’t forget the lockers that are on the rubicons. That along with the transfer case does add up. Also diesels were hard to find for a while so that may be another reason why.
😂 we took some stock parts off and upgraded them to more capable parts. I guess I don’t see how that’s two jeeps but in todays world maybe it makes sense

Next time just deflate the airbags and roll them up and it’ll slide in between the springs without having to remove any part of the rear suspension.
You can do that but on this one you can’t because of suspension
