- I love everything there is about a home cooked beef pot roast. A good pot roast is not an overly complicated task. It's what you do to your ingredients that makes all of the difference. This is a dutch oven pot roast recipe that can easily be converted to a slow cooker if that is what you have to work with.
Ingredients:
2-3 lb chuck pot roast
1 yellow onion
4 big carrots
15-20 baby gold potatoes
3-4 cloves garlic
1 glass red wine
4 cups beef stock
1 stem worth fresh sage
2 tbsp oil
Salt and pepper to taste

I love me a good pot roast, especially done in a dutch oven. What other dutch oven recipes do you want to see?
short ribs
@@GonnaGetYouBoi Great idea. I'll be working on that 🍺
@@LogansInnerCheftrying the pot roast currently. but i'm using a crockpot. i feel like it should be fine.. right? Lol. nah, i gotta invest in a dutch oven.. any recommendations? i hear the brand "lodge" is good for the price(around $50). staub and la creuset are a little out of my price range, considering i dont cook a ton. but that could change.
@@GonnaGetYouBoi Nice, a crocket should do the trick. I have a link in the video description that is a lodge that is similar to the one I have. The Dutch oven I have works really well.
Of course, crackpots have their place as well.
@@LogansInnerChefthanks. yes, it turned out really well in the crock pot, my girlfriend enjoyed it!
Yum Yum
It's very tasty and perfect since it's been snowing here lately!
The house must smell fantastic with no hood over the cooking meat
It definitely fills the house with great aromas. Especially since it's been snowing like crazy here. Cheers 🍻
Oh my goodness this looks so incredibly delicious and is one of my new favorites! 💕🍽️💕
It definitely is my favorite cold weather meal!
Now that’s pot roast!! Excellent job!!! Cheers
Thanks brotha, cheers 🍻
Got to love a good pot roast!
Definitely a good one to make when the cold weather is here!
How did your clear hot sauce go?
Your channel is heavily underrated. Great video
Much appreciated. As you know, youtube can be tricky. I watched a few of your videos and you do a great job. It's only a matter of time before you get some good traction. I'm following along. Cheers 🍻
@LogansInnerChef appreciate the support brother 🙏 keep producing great content
OMGoodness!!
Very tasty!
Will the cooking time be the same if you use a cast iron dutch oven?
Mine is an enameled cast iron, you should be good with the cooking time. As I mentioned in the video, you could check the cooking liquid after the 2 to 2-1/2 hour mark and see how tender the meat is. Hope that helps. Cheers
Hey Logan, how’s it going? Just finished making a habanero pineapple hot sauce and mix in a few dried Mexican peppers, removing the seeds and bringing them back to regular farm with some hot water. The ratio of pineapple to the peppers was one to one and I found that was a big mistake even with the different seasonings that I put in it did not help the flavour and result is you got a bit of flavour of jalapeño with a little bit of spice not the greatest mixture, not my greatest accomplishment actually quite disappointed, seeing as I made. 22 bottles of sauce anyways, it’s good for a baby mouth somebody who doesn’t like heat this will be just enough for them with somewhat of a half decent flavour but nothing to rock the world
Sorry to hear that, is that based off of one of my recipes?
