Two things about this movie that only jumped out on later rewatching: Nebula saying how Drax was meant to be a Dad takes on a whole new meaning when you remember what her experience with fathers was like; and Rocket's running joke obsession with stealing prosthetics also changes, given his childhood friends.

At the end, when Groot says "I love you guys." he's STILL saying I am Groot.
It's to show that the audience has now journeyed with the Guardians long enough to understand him.

when i saw this in theaters floor's ending devastated me 😩 and here i am again, crying over a rabbit who named herself floor because she was on the floor 😭
Rocket's scream when Lylla dies was heartbreaking but the most unexpected shot for me was when Nebula breaks down after hearing Rocket's voice. I had the subtitles on and it actually read "SOBS" when she put her head in her hands. She's had such an incredible arc in these films.
Nebula’s growth was my favorite part of the entire trilogy
Totally!!! I love that scene when she breaks down from hearing Rocket’s voice. Her character has changed so much. I’m sure that she and Rocket got really tight while everyone else was turned into ashes for those 5 years.
that scene where Rocket finds all the Baby Raccoons is the scene that got me the Most.
I was trying my Hardest not to be distracting as I cried in the Theater
26:18 Among the reactions I've seen to this film, you seem to be the only reactor who seems to fully acknowledge how significant Drax interacting with those children is to his character (Drax is my favourite Guardian because of how relatable I find him in terms of behaviour) in light of him losing both his daughter and wife whereas most other reactors I've seen either get completely/partially thrown off by the "How is that a Monkey?" joke or cut off either part or all of this scene in their reactions. Good video & reaction by the way and I will admit Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is perhaps my favourite in the trilogy (even though I love the first two films).
Really? This scene has got to be one of my favourite scenes from the movie. It’s so bittersweet. Like it’s where we see that at heart Drax really is a dad and it’s so emotional to me
38:20 She is called Phyla-Vell an d in the comics she is the daughter of Marvel's original male Captain Marvel aka Mar-Vell. She was Marvel's fourth Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau being the second) and the second Quasar in the comics.
The soundtracks are always my fave for this franchise. I love how as the movie wraps up and everyone is moving on, the typical 80s theme that Peter was always stuck in moves onto to a more modern 2000s vibe

I loved Guardians 3 above all others. Bradley Cooper brought his A game with his role of Rocket. His performance was so moving. Will miss Guardians under James Gunns direction.❤
Whoever played The villain had the best performance in the whole Marvel universe even more than Thanos . I believe he’s such a good actor it’s insane. He played the villain so perfectly.

Before, guardians was maybe my 3rd fav marvel franchise, but looking back it is my favorite, and probably the most well produced and best franchise in the Marvel universe. It is so good you can’t even compare it to really any other franchise
The high evolutionary is alive because drax is carrying him also there's a deleted scene showing that he is alive. Rocket kept him alive because he thought he was a God but he got beaten by a raccoon also he's three hundred years old so he has a lot of knowledge that they can use. If marvel studios decide to make him the Kang of the 616 universe he needs to be around in the back ground.
Rocket also keeps him alive because it shows he has risen above killing out of retribution. "i'm a guardian, not a killer." he shows his new found emotional maturity right there.
4:18 so while both Karen Gilliam and the director say no they also say that they are open to Nebula becoming open to emotional connections and therefore is curious about Quill and after she leaves him what happens she’s struck in the heart by an arrow. Cupids arrow?

This movie was so incredibly good. The best GOTG for me and one of my top 3 favorite Marvel movies.
Soundtracks for these movies ade always amazing. But this one killed me too. Loved it so much but made me cry so much too. Rocket 😢🥺😭😭

This is the best MCU movie since Endgame in my opinion.
Great reaction as always Monica . I love this movie I think this is the most heart-breaking MCU movie yet the amount of tears shed OMG . They really capture the tragic nature of Rockets backstory so well , Chukwudi Iwuji was so great as High Evolutionary he is so despicable and sadistic in his twisted experiments . As well as the seriousness and dark nature of the Animal stuff you get the goofy hysterical Guardians banter etc love Mantis for this Pom is great in this role she seems so naturally funny .
In the comics Drax was originally a human named Arthur Douglas who was travelling home with his Family who get attacked by Thanos and killed he is resurrected and sole purpose is then to kill Thanos . He originally looked very different wearing a cape with wrist gauntlets and a big belt ( Looks like a WWE wrestler even ) they later changed his look in the early 2000s to how he looks in the movies.
Really liked Will Poulter as Adam Warlock even though he does not match his comic counterparts story much his interaction with the other Guardians was very funny , originally in the comics he has the Soul Gem in his forehead and even teams up with Thanos , Gamora and Pip the Troll who we see in the post credits of Eternals , they all take on Adams twisted doppelganger Magus . In a later story Infinity Gauntlet in 1991 Adam leads the charge against Thanos who collects all the Infinity gems and wipes out half the universe in an offering to Death ( About 80% of this story Infinity Gauntlet was made into Infinity War and Endgame ) he later forms his own team Infinity Watch who guard all the Infinity Gems.
The first Guardians line up from 1969 was very different the team consisted of Major Vance Astro who is an Astronaut from the 20th Century he wears a containment suit which if gets punctured he would die , Martinex a crystalline humanoid , Yondu a character who is not dissimilar to Native Americans ( Not a Ravager like in the movie ) who uses a bow and arrow to great effect , Charlie 27 a humanoid from Jupiter whose gravity is a lot heavier so he is very heavily built and strong , Starhawk a very enigmatic and mysterious character , his Sister Aleta ( Who we later find out they are the same person and can shift between bodies ) . In the early 2000s Marvel brought back the Guardians whose line up was closer to the MCU line-up .
So all in all Guardians 3 is I think my favourite in the 3 movies and I would definatly agree the Captain America movies are the best of the trilogy movies .

I felt like you did, I was teary eyed in the theater, but when I watched this the other day, I don't know, on my couch, glasses on and contacts out, I was a mess during several parts of this because I knew what was coming. I will be curious if I watch this again before one of the two options of the Peter stories (my theory is a rom com caper to introduce a known mutant in Kitty Pride in q Disney + show or basically an Eternals 2 where Peter actually investigates Tiamut and becomes caught up in the search for the kidnapped Eternals) or that Mantis might be the key to defeating Kang (check out her comic book story and imagine how the MCU might alter it) if I will be more upset.
I actually paid more attention once I saw it at home
Cosmo does her very best in this movie, Maria bakalova portrays the loyalty of the labrador so well, Cosmo's up there with rocket as a portrayed character. Rocket becomes the voice of, and saviour of those raccoons as he was unable to save his friends. Rocket does what he should have done for Teefs and Floor previously, getting everyone living out of a facility. he finally feels empathy for others after pfaking being an emotional wasteland. well done to Sean gunn, Linda Cardolini, Mikaela Hoover , Asim chaudri, and everyone else who had to work in mocap while crouching or crawling about to portray Cosmo, Floor, Teefs rocket and lylla. I loved this movie so much. I love Lylla and Floor and Rocket and Cosmo. now go find a soft toy raccoon, otter, rabbit, and your family labrador and give them huge hugs.

Floor's mouth is a steel trap that never opens. I'm crazy for wanting to see her open her mouth?
apparently Floor does when eating, according to the marvel database, but the idea is to portray that she has no voice of her own, and is using an Alternative communications device. she is the first of batch 89. i only recently found out, not being able to see the film as i'm blind, that the more recent members of batch 89 have less metal in them, Floor, 1, Teefs, 2, Lylla, 3, and Rocket 4. Audio description only goes so far to describe the characters. I had to dig into the internet to get full descriptions.
@@blackbearish As a half-blind person, I can appreciate a good descriptive audio at times.
spoiler alert here, if you can, check out many audio descriptions of the same movie, you'll be surprised how details given differ. the english version of zootopia, *probably dvd* gives more granular detail. I heard one script that said, "judy is selling carrots" another said "judy is selling carrots, she wraps them in a paper bag," all in the same gap between dialogue. it's amazing how different scripters cram details into the same space. and another thing, audio descriptions can mislead the blind listener. in gotg 3, you get the impression the high evolutionary is in Lylla's cage when he shoots her, as the AD doesn't tell you Rocket turns left when he exits his cage, walks to Lylla's cage, then swipes the key, he then steps back and she leaves her cage and turns right to meet and hug Rocket, the high evolutionary is behind Lylla at this point. so the AD makes it sound like the shot comes from within her cage. wrong.

@@MonicaCatapusan You kinda said it was terrible, that's pretty harsh. To be fair all the Guardians movies have this same humour, which of course makes sense considering they're all directed by the same person.
First time I saw the second one I thought the first one was better, though still very good, but every re-watch it grew more on me to the point that I don't even know which of the 3 I like best. Probably still goes to the first one but it's close.
Everything with baby groot, perfection. Much of the humour comes off him. Rocket learns alot from his time with Yondu, even why he steals things. "I know who you are boy, because you're ME"

To be fair, “Best MCU Project of Phase 5” is kind of a backhanded compliment when there’s only 3 projects so far and the other two are the worst things in the MCU.

My main disappointment with this movie was with Adam Warlock. I know, he's released early and nerfed. That I don't have a problem with. My problem is that they made him into a full on idiot. You can portray an inexperienced, emotionally immature character, without making them dumb. They did not need to make Marvel's Space Jesus a moron.
He's essentially a toddler, that is as intended. I don't see any dumb moments, not like Drax, I see emotionally immature moments, but no dumb.
