Thank you Ellen! All your tips as you're painting no matter how small really helps. You're a great teacher and I appreciate the time you put into these videos-many demos I watch really just show me someone's talent, although enjoyable, I don't learn much. Again thanks😊
In spring I would say those little blue flowers would be Virginia Bluebells. In the summer I would guess a variety of Campanula. Either way, its a gorgeous painting.
Beautiful! Your videos always encourage me to keep trying. I’m a novice and it’s easy to get discouraged, but those little pots of paint keep calling my name!
It took me 15 years living here in ga it finally start drinking out of mason jars now that’s all I have. Lol love them and they make great water jars too
Ellen anytime I start overthinking and become disappointed with my skill… I allow myself time with your tutorials…. and feel “okay I can do this! “ thank you!
I loved this one! Thank you Ellen for the great explanations and tutorials. I have been watching them and following along for a bit and always mean to comment but get wrapped up in finishing touches and forget 😩 I need to get better at that. Thank you again! You've truly helped me learn how to paint and find freedom and joy in playing with colors and relaxing and trying a brand new thing
Thanks Ellen! I love this one! I am enjoying painting so much and see a big improvement since last July when I started. You have inspired me and I appreciate it!
Ellen, I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel! You've inspired me so much over the last week. I am a complete beginner and thanks to you, I've shocked myself over the last few days with my new hobby. I've been practicing with a cheapo set from Hobby Lobby (paper, paints, and brushes for $30ish) and have decided to add Arches paper to my Christmas list among other quality items.
Hello This was my 1st video I've seen, really enjoyed it. I'm not a watercolor artist or painter for that matter. My mother was, she was so talented. I'm a crafter and I do love to use watercolors in some of my projects. They are so much fun and I learned several things from you. You were so helpful. Thank you. God bless you and I hope you are safe and well.
Hi Ellen, i’ve been following you for awhile and admire your professional work. I have been noticing for some time that Emma le febvre who has a UA-cam painting channel which is very popular has been copying your work but I have resisted mentioning it. However today I noticed that she has also painted Spring flowers in a mason jar this week. None of my business really but I hope you’re aware of what she is doing. Thank you for continuing to post your tutorials. They are very helpful in these difficult times.
Copying is such an incriminating word. That would mean Emma has literally recreated Ellen's work stroke by stroke, colour by colour. Is it really so incommensurable that two artists might have the same ideas?
Hi. Those orange flowers are alstroemerias, one of the flowers which fill the in between spaces in my garden. Thank you for your helpful encouragement.
Love this! I love your style and your chatter. I'm definitely going to give this a try 💛 I love watercolor but I've been nervous to paint from a reference photo and going more abstract. Thank you!
Absolutely loved this!! I am so glad that l stumbled onto your channel. I am going to attempt watercolours a lot more after l finish my current course. You have inspired me!!
Ive been watching your videos for over a year and have really been enjoying them. This one popped up today and how exciting to finally see YOU in the video. :) I appreciate all the helpful videos youve shared. Thanks so much and have a wonderful day.
Lovely! Thank you again for encouraging us with simple tutorials. They are all very helpful. Question: I cannot find on Amazon the packs of round brushes you were referring to earlier this week. Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place or they are sold out? You mentioned Grumbacher and Princeton Neptune or Velvetouch. Do you have a link available? Thanks!
59 years old and never painted in my life. With your videos I am learning that I can do this!
Thank you for all your tutorials!
Me too!I started just under two years ago! I’m 59, too!
