Ellen ..... thank you so much for this tutorial!! 🌷 I just love pansies! What makes them so special for me is my Dzedo! (My maternal grandfather.). He came to Canada from Czechoslovakia & one of the things he brought were pansy seeds from his home. They were amazing colours & captivated my attention for hours. They grew from spring throughout summer b/c he watered them daily with a sprinkle shower. When it was time in early fall - before they died off - he would lift them from the soil, shake the dirt off the roots, & let them dry before placing them into a brown paper bag & storing them in the cold cellar under the shelves. Year after year, each spring, he would prepare the ground, gently tuck each dried flower in, sprinkle shower them & wait for the new growth to appear!! Magical ....!!! 💫
You have just provided me happiness and a Great idea. I will paint some 2x2 and frame them on a card and send them to friends and family to provide them with some happy mail😉🇨🇦♥️
So cute to see you make them come alive on paper. Cheerful to have. Going to give them a try tonight. Thank you for sharing your fun skills with all of us. Stay well.
So pretty Ellen, I’m catching up with your last couple of weeks of art tutorials, you never disappoint. Thank you for keeping me sane. I find your artworks very therapeutic after a long day at work. I have quite a collection and my technique is improving, thank you. ❤️🤗💫
I love these Ellen! One of my favorites. I planted pansies last fall and they are still so pretty. They look pretty with snow on them too. I love that fushia and purple and the look it got from bleeding. The others are great looking too. Stay safe. Hugs! 🤗🌺☀️🦋🌼
I have only watched a couple of your videos so far. The excitement is building and I have a sincere desire to learn this. The first one Im doing is the pansies. Love it! So Perfect for spring. Also want to mention that you have a great voice for teaching and is one thing I like a lot here.
they maybe simple and quick for some lol! they are so simple I tend to over work/wet them and they look more like tiedye blooms- I love to follow your “quick and simple” because I am SO the beginner - thanks!
OMG Ellen. Thank you so much for these Mini Monday Madness tutorials that I am enjoying so much. Can you please share what kind of watercolors, brushes and paper you are using? Thank you.
I will tackle these tomorrow so much fun and find when painting one just doesn't mind that much being at home. I really need to quit baking though or when we can get out I won't be able to get out the door. LOL
Funny how relevant ‘this week was insane is’ and ‘I had a little flood’ is two years later. Russia has invaded Ukraine and in Australia we have some horrendous flooding events.
