  • The Division Bell Tour was the final concert tour by Pink Floyd in 1994 to support their album The Division Bell, which was released two days before the tour’s start date. Though it was Pink Floyd’s final tour, members of the band have continued to perform the band's songs on solo tours.
In 1995 the band released the live album Pulse to commemorate the tour.
The Division Bell Tour in 1994 was promoted by Canadian concert impresario Michael Cohl and became the highest-grossing tour in rock music history to that date, with the band playing the entirety of The Dark Side of the Moon in some shows. The first show they played the whole The Dark Side of the Moon was on July 15th, 1994 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, which was the first time since 1975 it was played. While preparing for the tour, Pink Floyd spent most of March rehearsing in a hangar at Norton Air Force Base in California.
The final concert of the tour on 29 October 1994 turned out to be the final full-length Pink Floyd performance, and the last time Pink Floyd played live before their one-off 18-minute reunion with Roger Waters at Live 8 on 2 July 2005. Their performance at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 18, 1994 would also go on to be the last ever Pink Floyd concert in North America. This would also be Nick Mason's last concert tour before commencing his Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets tour in 2018 - twenty-four years later.

I don't know why RW comes to the US if he hates it so much. A few weeks ago he was in NY, and said President Trump is a murderer. Would anyone say that about the Queen in public, and get away with it? I doubt it.

I can see why Rick Wright said Spaniards and Italian fans are more receptive to this music: It's pretty beautiful and emotive. English fans are, shall I say, somewhat more reserved in expressing their emotions. Latins wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Thank you very much for this great documentary. Awesome job everybody.

Pink Floyd = inemitable talent + creative imagination + perfection + modesty + love of others + therapy for internal sufferings + inexplicable deep feeling + soothing immortal art + an endless river of hope and dreams for a better life
This equation is verified in each musical note, each song, each album, each concert, each interview and each Pink Floyd documentary. It is a general truth.
Thank you to all the members of this legendary and global group (Syd, David, Roger, Nick, Richard). I would have liked to attend one of your spectacular gig but listening to your works with closed eyes, I make my own best gig.

Very interesting documentary. I haven't seen many from this period. I find it sad that they didn't continued with a new album after this tour, because there would have been time for that, before Gilmours solo album. But I guess Gilmour had his reasons and it seems, as they are saying in this programme, that they wanted to do smaller projects in the future.

In hindsight, it's quite obvious that Gilmour was done at the end of this tour. He's never been a lively interview, but he looks especially weary here. I'm sure he was ready to go home with his new wife and begin their life together. And who can fault him for that? Being in charge of the Pink Floyd machine must be exhausting.

I saw them at Yankee stadium they played two days and the shows were sold out. I new that shows that big that people will cancel there tickets for whatever reason so the day of the show I went down to Yankee stadium and bought tickets when the box office open got two tickets .I was going to take a friend who had cancer he was my feelings well so took my buddies wife she would do Woopi Goldberg at parties and make money so we had seating around third base FLOYD was set up in the outfield the show is going on we are flying on shrooms if you know what I mean so back to the show there are people in front of us were are on the aisle so a group of about eight to ten guys are to my right the band is playing to my left so the band has played a couple of songs and people sit down so one of the guys in front of me wants to stand and the group to my right wants one guy to sit and he won't he has had a little to much to drink so they start yelling for him to sit and he is not having it saying it's PINK FLOYD and he is drunk and the guys to my right well they are not happy about it and are getting mad and one them spit on the drunk guy .well the drunk guy has friends and they are not happy about it and violence is about to kick off and my friend who is a black girl and we are both tripping and she wants to move so I decided to talk to the drunk and he is adamant about standing because as he said it's PINK FLOYD and the guys to my right are not having it so I point to the Bronx house of detention and let he know that if he doesn't sit down there will be a big fight and that he will watching from that building there and he will not like it so after a little bit he sits down. Know we are both tripping and she is now feeling a bit uneasy and I get it so we go back to the which is on a side street 163 st and Jerome AVE and we go there it was a park there back then and we sit on a park bench from were we sit you can hear the music and see the light of the stadium it was just beautiful know one is around and we feeling just fine it turned out to be the best thing sitting there with the music the lights and no one around just a great show it was the last time I saw them. Long LIVE ROCK. I was going to edit but I am on my phone and it is just not happening today .so be it .
