I seen the Division Bell tour in Rotterdam, September 1994. A little excursion to Amsterdam a few hours before the concert truly made this day very special indeed.
I like to think David is aware he is quoting Spinal Tap when talking about writing with Polly. He has this little knowing smile while he’s saying “she tells me that’s good or that’s crap”. I’m not criticising by the way, the Division Bell is one of my all time favourite albums
I used to work as local crew at concerts doing backline load in and load out and I always got a kick out of the ego of the permanent roadies. The ones with the grey pony tails thought they were rockstars.
YAY! Footage from Lisbon! Never got to see this show cause I was too young :( Pretty awesome that i'd at least get a glimpse of how it was. Cool stuff man!
My brother was in that concert in Lisbon... LUCKY HIM!!!!!!!!! He loves to show off his plastified ticket to bug me... but I was only 8 years old at that time lol
Nick always whines about bootleggers. We wouldn't have some of the stuff without them. We wouldn't have anything from Animals if it weren't for those bootleggers as bad as the quality is. They never played anything from Animals on there 1988 and 1994 concerts either. The recent release of the back catalog stuff is great but look how long it took to get that.
Yes, Roger was great at writing, but so was Syd. And when Syd was good, Roger was writing "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk", you know, Doctor Doctor, choke on bread, pain is red, gold is lead, etc. It's not who is a good writer, it's when and what.
Ah, no. Syd was very hit and far more miss. Roger was an ideas man. He didn't write all the lyrics. Gilmour and Wright were also involved in writing the lyrics.
boonexy Well, Gilmour wrote a song called You Gotta Be Crazy, both lyrics & music, which Waters turned into Dogs for the album Animals. The music stayed the same but the lyrics got edited by Waters, plus he added some lines himself. So Gilmour at least co-wrote the lyrics of Dogs. You can find that Gilmour version of You Gotta Be Crazy (Dogs) here on youtube - check it out, it's interesting!
SUCKRPUNCHED comments are accurate. LEVINS comments are absurd. My comments: Dark Side of the Moon; best album of all time. All lyrics written by Roger Waters.
I saw them in gothemburg 94. I was 23 and thought "maaaan, they've become old". Now 2020... They look so young... Amazing show 😊
Time pass, the river roll........
No you were right, they were old then
Richard Wright,you are missed dearly.love seeing ya'll in Atlanta,Ga.

July the 22 nd 1994. I was there on the first concert in Lisbon. I was one of the 60.000 singing with them that night!
Was there too with my father. I remember that evening as it was yesterday.
This is like finding old wine, thanks for the upload.

La grandezza dei pink floyd rasenta la impossibilita a pensare di meglio di piu ricercato.....certamente il gruppo puo superare solo se stesso.....

1:55 burp Rick 🥰
Miss him so much 😿😿
If only we had the problems today that Nick Mason described back then with the way the biz works lol.
My brother was in that concert in Lisbon... LUCKY HIM!!!!!!!!! He loves to show off his plastified ticket to bug me... but I was only 8 years old at that time lol
I like David Gilmour's shuttle reference about control freak to Roger Waters. Conflicts happen that way.
+Larry Fulmer He's referring to Syd
Excellent little interviews!
no he's not he's talking about Roger....
1:00 Nick got what he wanted.
Immensi anche senza Roger forse meglio !!!! Grandi RICK e NICK e la banda ............. GILMOUR ? un Genius MITICO
LO AMOOOOOOO
Why didn't this go on the PULSE DVD?
A melhor fase dos 3 sem o Roger foi esta! !
I was at that first show in miami....

@kegs202 Wait MTV did something useful?
Ok👏
I think it is on the second disk. At least it is for me. The second disk also has a bootleg of the concert.
Si
In a (kinda) recent documentary David called himself a control freak .... well he was talking about his cooking steaks for a family diner ha ha .....
Wider Horizons. A very great documentary.
3:38 i bet he wanted to go "the way other people.....*cough* roger waters *cough* *cough*"

+Dave T Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk is brilliant!
Gilmour and Wright weren't really involved in lyrics bro
From Dark Side to Final Cut lyrics were 100% Waters.

DAVE DONT YOU HATE HIM? haha xD
@seamus1967 He did kinda look silly jumping around like that. Good player though.
why didn’t they interview guy pratt?
David mocking Roger...never!

They always sound like politicians
No, politicians talk crap.
They're just well-spoken.
Loved early 70’s PF but as Waters ego grew stronger and the music became turgid, bloated , lumbering and plodding I lost complete interest
True Pink Floyd: David Gilmour, Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Richard Wright.
What a stupid comment
