Love these shopping trips!
Thank you! ♥
Another awesome haul. Big Fan From Texas ♥️🤠
Hey there! Yes it was : )
That's a nice looking Goodwill 😮
It really is!
Awesome haul
Thank you! 🤗♥
Love your creations! But… just about everything you have or picked up are antiques!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worth a lot more money!!!! You have that antique eye because you picked & or picked up just about all antiques!!!!!! You should look them up before doing your beautiful projects, easy money like that would really come in handy especially these days!! Also ours have 25% off on Tuesdays for seniors if you know any seniors that would go with you maybe your mom or grandmother. But just a thought and I thought I would share. Happy hunting and good luck! Your work is beautiful!!
Well I see you don’t need someone to go with you! Haha 🤣still beautiful ♥️ you also get the 50% off with senior day 🤣😁😁
I've always loved colored glass and creating something for the garden with glass is the perfect reason to collect pieces, rather than just having them sit around. I could sell them, but that's not as fun : )
Nice selection of glass. That place is SO loud I don't know how you stand it!!
It was very loud that day! I think the recording made it sound louder than it really was though.
Beautiful pieces and colors. I saw some that I wish were cheaper so you could get those, too. Their prices (Goodwills’s) are sometimes higher than when the item was first sold as new.
I agree! I try to avoid Goodwill. Their prices are usually a minimum of 30% higher than any of the other thrift stores in my city. I see lots of things that are marked with practically new prices. Found a partial container of a sample paint from Lowes and it was full new price.
Yeah, sometimes I'll do a google lens search to see what the og price is
I have a blue candleholder that she showed and I got it brand new for $1.25 at the dollar tree.
Just be careful how you use it as much affordable modern glass is painted on color and will fade and/or peel. Guess how I know,
Good deals at Dollar Tree!
I love the birdhouse great idea to post on a pole.
Thank you! : )
Goodwill prices ARE higher then Rummage Sales prices
Yes they can be high at times. Thrift stores are a great place to look for glassware too : )
Your goodwill is pretty proud of its stuff. Very high prices!
It really is!
Hi, just found your channel and I love it!
Hey, thanks!
Those brown bowls make beautiful mushrooms
I maybe should have tried that! Will look for similar bowls to make mushrooms : )
ALL thrift stores are going up in prices. Sometimes you can go to an antique store and get a better deal!
I will be shopping a few other local thrift stores and will have an upcoming video : )
Would love to see finished products from your picks
You may see them in some of my videos! : )
I wish you showed more assembly and finished product, then showing me store shelves.
This was a shopping video. Check out my other videos for assembly : )
Do you bring your birdbaths in out of storms to protect them from falling over and breaking any glass?
If a storm is coming and I know there will be wind, I will lay the birdbath on it's side. I am looking for some kind of brace to attach to a tree or post for the more fragile ones. Maybe will be in an upcoming video : )
❤
♥
I agree, find a Salvation Army store. Those prices are outrageous.
I will be shopping a few other local thrift stores and will have an upcoming video : )
I'm totally shocked at Goodwill's prices
I know, right?
So what is the average cost of making your glass displays?
I would say $30 give or take, plus glue : )
What kind of glue to use
I've been using JB weld epoxy recently : )
our Goodwill is half the price of what you are paying, are you in California?
Lucky! I am in Florida. Where are you?
@@MyLittleSliceofParadise I'm in north east PA
That was the bottom of a punch bowl.
Thank you ♥
@@MyLittleSliceofParadise your welcome. I have a pink cut glass one I use as a vase.
They really dont want to sell with those high prices, and they vet them free.
I have seen their prices go up over time. I try to get them when they have their half-off sticker day, but sometimes the good stuff is more!
Goodwill gets everything free then they charge these high prices never shop there
It's still fun to shop there ; )
Too expensive
It can be!
In the UK the young don't buy glass the older folks have enough or too much so charity shops are full of it I bought two sets of 6 glass fruit dishes complete with large serving bowls 4 large vases 5 glass candle sticks 6 cut glass whiskey tumblers still in the box and a bag of glass beads for the equivalent of $10 ...cheaper then the glue !!
