Such great ideas! We've just started plants so I'm going to take your foldable idea and do something similar on plants. I think my kids will love it too. Fab ideas with the cross curriculum on the lily pads. Way to go!! 👌🏼
Loved the folder project! Can't wait for you to share about how you make you close read question! Your such an inspiration and I love that videos are long!!!!!!
+Janae Rochelle These are great. I started do the ones for this week in their reading notebook. I do them in math all the time and my kids love it! I mean who doesn't like folding paper!!! Right!?!?!
+brewske12 I started the year off more strutted than where I am now. I used The Morning Meeting book as my guide to planning, but I came across some conflicts. I don't have a big chunk of time in the morning just because the way schedule works out and how much time my county requires me to do certain blocks. Now, I keep it simple and use it as a tool to help build classroom community.
+brewske12 Yes they are fantastic. I really like doing them for building a classroom community. Kids are just so negative and mean to one another and I feel like it is so important to teach those life skills.
I do a similar morning work with my 2nd graders. I always have piles of half sheets laying around. I never know what to do with them. Glueing them in a notebook is a great idea! What other notebooks do you have your students keep? Thank you! Love the vlog!
+amanda campbell Thank you so much! We have one for our poetry, reading, and math. I love using notebooks it is a great way to keep everything in one place and kids can always refer back to them.
+Breana Grullon if I am really focused it can take about 2 hours or so. It depends on if my ideas come out right but I have definitely gotten better and faster at making them.
You´ re going to be really big on UA-cam one day, I am telling you!! There is no teachers community what so ever and you will be the big number one in the future! :) I love your consistency in making videos :). Greetings from the Czech Republic :).
Hi :) I love your videos! You are such a positive person that it's always inspiring watching your vlogs. It's a great motivation for my own classroom :) And I'm really impressed of your children's work! How old are they in kindergarten (I'm from Germany and we start school with first grade at the age of 6 oder 7)? Sarah
The art projects are so creative and individual between each child!!!! The foldable also seemed like a really great idea~
+Haley C Thank you so much!

I'd love to hear what the structure of your morning meetings consists of and your thoughts on including a morning meeting in the classroom.

Awesome! Thanks! I've been doing a lot of research on morning meetings and it's awesome to hear people actually use them to whatever extent they can!

+The Lettered Classroom you're awesome! Thank you for the tips... I can't wait to share them with my team 😀
For your morning message, do you spend the time to go over each of the students' post-it notes or did you pick some of them?
Yes. We talk about each one. It's part of building a community and listening to everyone in the classroom.
Love those foldables so much!! Did a take a long time to create all of them?
+Breana Grullon For me to make or for the kids to do?
For you to make

+S88PD06 My kids are 5-6 years old in kindergarten. Some come in at 4 years old and turn 5 within the first two months of school.
+The Lettered Classroom Thank you for your answer! I think their work is great - especially for that age.
