- Troops arrive at DFW Airport in Dallas Texas everyday from Iraq and Afghanistan for their 14 day R&R. This day was special as over 200 people cheered, sang and waved as the Troops came off the plane on the 2nd level on their way to the Customs Hall.
I live in DFW and they have people that volunteer to greet returning Military. We feel they deserve it.
This is how our troops should always be welcomed home
should be but rarer than you think......when i returned had a packed flight from germany...no one said anything to me till after i was getting off the plane...a stewardess gave me a kiss and the captain and co-pilot shook my hand......after getting off and making my way down to get my luggage, not a word.....went to get a taxi (took 30 min to find 1 at 3am).....got to my friends house picked up my keys to my house and cay..drove home to an empty house(wife divorced me while overseas..go figure)......and that how thousands come home every year.......no banners ,no clapping,..your just back and have to get on with life.
I know it may be a of small consolation but I want to thank you for your service to our country...and you my friend and hero are not alone! God bless you!

Thank you to all the volunteers at DFW when I arrived at that airport. You won't believe how much those greetings, warm welcome and thanks thrown out to us meant to me and a lot of my buddies. I truly felt like I was in a safe and welcoming place which was a stark contrast to where I was not even 14 hours before. That truly made my day and I will never forget it till the day I die. THANK YOU!
Thank you for your service, it takes a certain type of person to do the job that you do, to protect the homeland from the evils that threaten it. I salute you soldier.
What a difference now compared what they had retiring from Vietnam. This show of thanks and solidarity will remain with the troops . We should always support our boys and girls in the forces...
They actually do hold ceremonies for Vietnam vets now. Ofcourse the liberal media doesn't cover it but our boys from the Vietnam war are finally getting the welcome home they deserved back then. Its just sad that some have passed away never getting to hear our apology
I cannot imagine that our men and women who were DRAFTED to a war to STOP communism were treated like that. God bless all our troops.
A🔋🤩😡🤩🤣😡🤣🤣🔋😡📞📞📞📞🤩😡💳 PMP!ao
GL S that's why u should never go to war for the US, too many bs wars
My uncle said they were treated like dirt
This is exactly how every returning MILITARY person shoud be greeted as they come home!
Including the Taliban when they return to their family after rpg’ing a US chinook ? Or we are hypocrites
@@lordoffrog2354 u again XD
@@lordoffrog2354 all soldiers should be praised when returing.
Soldiers with no other goal than to cause harm should be called terrorists
This is maybe the same day/week my husband came home through dallas after a full year deployed in Africa!! Thank you ALL who support our military and the families!
~Army Wife for Life~
1968 I never got a welcome home. God Bless the American soldiers!
1972 mom greeted me with a hug at the Airport. best welcome home ever.
@billd.4701 Welcome back home! 🇺🇸
As a DFW native for 41 years, I'm so proud of my hometown for doing this regularly, and just wish my Father's generation had gotten this welcome home from their service.
Triple that, same in Sydney Australia , I enlisted but being a longhair a snot most rookie cop thought it would be funny to punch me on the back of the head, 3 hits and 6 others took me too cop car. At court the judge saw that I'd enlisted and was due to go to Pukapunyal next week and due to retaliation after being in was put on a bond. Next week had all my hair cut off, got one train at 4.30am so nobody could see me. It Central departure paraded up a warrant officer called me out and under circumstances in had to come back in a year, not happy. But when i saw the useless crap spitting on returning soldiers , I sort of planted them for disrespect, sides in don't like nancy activists. We used to take in Americans on R&R, for years, and every one of them where the most respectful men I've never met. Of course my Aunt married and American, my cousin married a lieutenant US military soldier, but he had a real attitude, divorced him and married another American and I don't know now many nephews I have. Have to ask young cousin, last of the family in Australia. God bless and look after every military personnel.
These always make me cry...
me too.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!!!!!
All the many times we have been in the DFW airport, we have never seen anything like this. .We did, however, one December give-up our seats so that a small group of Oregon National Guard people could fly home together for Christmas with their families. They would be going back on deployment after their Christmas leave. It was a small thing we could do for them, just a small way to show our appreciation for all they do for this country.
You are true patriots. Thank you for that. I have so much respect and gratitude for our military and our first responders.
I was doing this before these kind of reactions became popular. It STILL never gets old.
Damn it Texas always has to show us how to honor the troops. Welcome home and enjoy your rest!
Thank You and God Bless 0ur Vets & Country!
In tears! Can't wait for my hubby to get home
My unit was welcomed in a similar fashion. Incredible and overwhelming feeling of support.
OMG! I cried so much........ all these years later and I am sad basket of tears! WELCOME HOME EVERY TIME!!! ♥♥♥
My dad was one of the SEALs who died that year......i love you paps.

TRILLIONEN THANKS TROOPER FOR YOUR SERVICE, RESPEKT FROM GERMANY ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow. I went home on leave from Iraq in April 2009 and I went through Dallas. They were there for us too. It was amazing. This brings back some memories.
It always felt good seeing all of the people as we came back, day or night. What broke me was went a Vietnam Vet told me I was his hero. No battle, you are mine.
As a Vet thank you to all those who support us. It means the world. To to go get the tissues
I remember walking through that exact hallway in 2011 returning from Afghanistan with the 4th BDE, 10th Mountain Div. (Ft. Polk, LA). I love the state and people of Texas!
as a old army wife I know how they feel. My husband fought in the Korean War and Vietnam. He died of agent orange cancer.
I’m sorry to hear that ma’am
I remember these days. I felt like a celebrity in the airport. Everyone was cheering and clapping, and I turned around and no one was behind me. I was like whattttt? For me? Wow! One guy even offered me half of his sub, and insisted that I took it with me after I refused. But, that was the best damn sub I ever had. Cold cut trio from Subway. Ha ha!
This is how the strongest nation treats their heroes. so touching scene.
When I was a flight controller for Ryan Int'l, we flew a lot of those flights, and there was nothing I loved more than after briefing the Captain, then telling the Onboard Troop Commander that I was able to eliminate the Canadian Tech Stop, and today's Leipzig-Dallas is a nonstop flight; you might want to give your welcoming committee a head's up; your new ETA is around 7am... I hated working flights eastbound down range, but I loved working westbounds coming home.
God bless America
junior milan You mean America the continent?
@@kolcan1985
Fuck you!
junior milan God bless Iraq
Chris L calm down america is a continent if you don’t know it dumb ass
Great show. You Americans know how to treat your service personnel. In my country, when I returned from Operations, we had to keep a low profile. We would never be treated will such gratitude.
Where do you live?
Man I love this country so much. God bless you all🇺🇲
Thank you all YOU ARE THE BESR WE LOVE YOU !!
Patriotism and Respect!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRIES.
oh my god ...i salute ur love to ur nation...

Heroes coming Home.
What a contrast between the "welcome home" the troops from Viet Nam returning home received, to our present troops.
God bless them all ,thank you Jesus
Thank You Texas ... at least you get it. s/A 20 vet who still wonders if his service was worth it.....
Your service was worth it to me my friend. Thank you for what you did so others may sleep peacefully at night. Semper Fi brother USMC 10-14
Always worth it.. for a current sailor to a past veteran.. thank you.. you are the reason why I serve today.. ❤️
Respect
This is how returning American soldiers should be treated🇺🇸💪
with such videos I always have to think of the comrades who never came home again. We miss you💔
Here in the UK we have a saying in our Forces !,At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them!.
How amazing 💟💟💟
Le patriotisme Américain est fascinant.
C'est ce qui fait la puissance de l'Amérique....
Amitié de France 🇺🇸🇨🇵
Love back to France.
Very cool.
Thank everyone of you!!much love and respect to you and yours and to those of you who paid the ultimate sacrifice!!!
I remember beign on a flight out of Milwaukee (Mitchell Int'l to Michigan) with guys that were from the Army I presume and they gave the pilot shit the whole way there until we landed (all in good fun naturally). After we touched down and stopped at the 1 of 2 gates...the pilot came on board for the 6 or 8 of us non-military people and told us "this was perhaps, the greatest and most memorable flight I've had in 35 years of flying...and as of today I'm retiring". I kid you not the flight was laughs the whole way from take off to touch down, and the pilot's shake at the end of the flight let me know...he knew when to end it ;) He was a Navy pilot and knew when to say his duty was done, he reached to shake my (13 year old hand) and I saluted him (I had 2 cousin in the military, one a Naval Officer on submarines and the other a flight instructor with the Air Force) this man earned it! His response was a salute, smile and a hug :P After telling him about my cousins he knew who the one was and actually was one of the guys who stopped at our place in their passing from the AF Academy to their stations for the night and thanked ME and my family for our hospitality. Military families respect military families liberal or not ya dig ;) (yes my family is hardcore liberal but i fall asleep knowing a .357 magnum keeps us safe at night :) )
I REMEMBER BRING ON A FLIGHT OUT OF MILWAUKEE MITCHELL INTLT TO
Fantastic
God bless u n america
PATRIOTIC COUNTRY🇺🇸 LOVE FROM FRANCE 🇫🇷

WISH THAT YOU WERE ALL HOME AND SAFE,,,,, PLEASE GOD,, ONE DAY YOU WILL BE
D. F. W. GREAT TO SEE THEM COME BACK
After a year and a half in viet nam arrived home and there were many holding anti american flags and people yelling, "Baby Killers" at us, still in all, I was just so thankful to have made it home
This is why americans soldier's were the best in the world..
In South Korea, this is an unimaginable situation. Korean soldiers are treated less and socially than guard dogs. worse than criminals.
i love america.from Mizoram.north east india
Amen!
Such a great citizen...
Respect from s.korea
this is fucking beautiful :')
So sweet!
I hope this brings solace to all those veterans of the Vietnam War, who returned to their Land-of-Plenty, to be met by the spitting, most-spoiled generation!

How long does the troops usually are out?
I think 9 month deployment. I dunno I get deployed next year
Eduardo Piston Depends on branch or MOS/AFSC can range from 6 months to 1 year
9 to 18 months depends on the type of deployment
my eyes are sweating for some reason
👍👍👍👍👍👍
4:29, I borrowed this suit from someone mam..🤔🤔
The feeling of being praised like this must feel better than sex

America’s Gallant Soldiers
By: David O. Melton
America’s gallant soldiers
Serve to keep America free,
And some pay freedom’s highest cost
And die protecting you and me
These valiant men and women
Whose mortal bodies now lay still,
In death earned the greatest honor
Herald by a lone bugler’s skill
Because they preserve our nation
Chosen honor guards stand abreast,
While a lone bugle sounds out taps
For each great soldier laid to rest
Yet far greater than all these things
Beyond the stones of marble white,
Behold God’s tribute of honor
That’s shining eternally bright
Greater love has no one than this,
To lay down one’s life for one’s friends,
This honor is proclaimed by God
Over everything it transcends
Now honor our gallant soldiers
Who under freedom’s banner fall,
Soldiers who had to leave loved ones
And made sacrifices for all
Uplift their hurt and grieving child
Left to long suffer and travail,
Each soldier’s widow and orphan
Greatly needs our help to prevail
Let our nation and our people
Honor all sacrifices made,
Now honor our gallant soldiers
And our sacred freedoms they saved
Even me i should be welcomed like this at Walmart
I need a kleenex.
same
❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You won’t see this in Germany because German soldiers are treated with disrespect 😂

Hi! I am making a music video for a local band and was wondering if I can use some of your footage from these videos? I will credit the sources. Thank you!
Your subscribe button doesn't work. I live in Dallas.
Burn your equipment
Nice video but the music overwhelms it.
It was great time without covid
Какая огромная разница между армией США и России, мы прилетели помниться грузовым самолётом и нас вообще никто не встретил... Потому что никого не пускали
Этот Texas в видео. отличается от большинства США.
More of this not kneeling at football fields during our anthem !!!
Less of this, more brain cells and heart strings !!!
Вот почему мы их никогда не победим
