Hi, we are interested in going to Peak Hill to try a bit of detecting. I can’t find much information online and I was wondering if you were on pending ground there, had a 40E or if there’s someone who we can ask for permission to access the area? We are currently in Leonora and heading that way in a few days. Many thanks in advance 😊
BTW, we met some friends of yours at Flat Creek station near Georgetown last year!

Hi Karen, sorry for the late response, we have been off grid for the past 10 days. Do you still need info for Mt Padbury/ Peak Hill? There are plenty of pending areas there.

Look for a place called window rock, it's on trilobite. Good camping and plenty of scrapes - good luck.

Thanks so much! Yes, we’re currently at Meekatharra and hope to head out there on Tuesday or Wednesday this week. We have made an attempt to contact Mt Padbury station to advise that we would like to come onto the property but have not been able to reach them as yet.
I have looked on trilobite and noticed quite a few scraped areas within the pending tenements so that will be a good place to start! I’ll look up Window Rock as you suggested 😊

Hi Shane, I use a GPZ7000 with a nugget finder coil and Marika is using the GPX6000 and loves it.

Is there anyone to help me with coiltek 17 for gpx 5000 ?

Hi MoMo Detecktor, neither of us have used GPX 5000's so sorry we cannot offer any advice on this unit. I think Sam's Prospecting for Western Australia ran a 5000 for a few years before switching to a GPZ. Thanks for subscribing.
