That was 100% Self Defence. He continued to walk at you and you continued to walk back away from him. You tried to stop him from making contact with you by using absolute minimum force to make him stop or to keep away from you. Well done DJ That sad old man needs to be ashamed of himself for his actions.
The first incident i had to question whether that was actually DJ Audits , i think you escalated that, not your normal style at all , the second incident the manager was a right wally and to be fair he deserved to be rebuked the way he was. The Security guard and PJ were the only two sane one's there .
Long Time, First Time (Watcher, Poster).. Truthfully I don’t think you would have got into that situation if you were not with PJ. I know you have successfully made many videos together in the past, but PJ’s much slower at exiting after being asked to leave which then caused you to be in a situation that you do not normally get into. Your manner and tone is a lot more people friendly. I do not condone you for protecting yourself, however I very much doubt you would have needed to if you were alone. Love the vids.
The blue guy is a disgrace for the company. The yellow guy tried several times to deescalate the situation, therefore you could be a little nicer to that guy. I love both of your channels but PJ clearly let escalate the situation by not leaving the property when asked several times. When you mix two channels the result isn't always better.
This audit exposed a big bully. The Taylor Wimpey Manager committed an assault by marching into your space plus he gave you the finger which can constitute disorderly conduct. I expect he will be sacked. Great to see PJ backing you up.
Entertaining as it was I always prefer your videos when you're alone... you both ignored multiple requests to leave site which you wouldn't normally do DJ.
He had a real bad attitude and nothing excuses his behavior however he did ask you to leave pretty much straight away. He technically doesn't have to listen to you when you're trying to tell him you're going to fly over
That's why I have said before these double act audits don't really work and are unnecessary. You said yourself DJ you never normally wear a mask but because you are with PJ you have had to. This has clearly led to an unnecessary physical confrontation, which you are not normally known for DJ. All I like is the fun & weird part of audits, but not when it involves a nasty physical confrontation that has resulted in someone losing their eye glasses. It's not right, especially when they asked you multiple times to leave their site but refused. Be respectful, always.
Have enjoyed watching the videos but this one not so much. Prefer the solo ones, not sure the duo dynamic works. In the first interaction it comes across a bit of trying too hard to provoke a reaction instead of just leaving when asked. Prefer the polite but firm & reasoned conversations. This one got a bit too shouty which doesn't seem to suit.
Definitely on the fence with this one as a daily watcher. Do agree you are right to defend yourself but do think you guys escalated it a bit by not leaving sooner. Can see both sides of it.
@@DJAUDITS I initially disliked this audit for exactly that reason, and also because I think you were a bit harsh on the security guy, who I tihnk was doing a good job at deesculating. Good to see that you agree that you pushed it a bit too far, and I agree that there is no excuse for that manager's behaviour. That bit was very well handled by you DJ.
@@DJAUDITS agree. It wasn't pleasant watching. He asked you both to leave plenty of times. You did walk off site. The other guy, delayed leaving right away and prolonged the encounter. The guy should not have got in your face, that is inexcusable. I hope you are okay and I also hope the guy is okay too. That experience can't have been nice for either of you.
You are without doubt the most professional and respectful auditor i have ever watched and I watch hundreds. Keep doing the excellent works and thank you DJ
Now I know the meaning of "incandescent with rage". He was boiling over, red faced and glassy eyed. What on earth could he be hiding on a Taylor Wimpey site? Bet his house is nice and warm inside. The wife just stands him in the corner for a few minutes and the whole house feels the benefit. 5 minutes in the garden to cool down, then 2 minutes in front of the TV news and he's all charged up, and back in the corner again. The human candle, easily recharged at very little expense. Well done DJ you just discovered a new renewable energy. Your "push back" was impressive too.
Well that was entertaining! 😂 To be fair, the manager asking you to leave at the beginning was reasonable and you guys did kinda push it a bit, but his later actions of intimidation were totally uncalled for and let himself and the company down big time. Also, I'm not convinced he was wearing safety footwear himself. But the video was hard to be certain. DJ with his mask on does remind me of a ninja! 🥷
If you do a quick push to the chest just above the sternum theres a bunch of nerves there that make you jump back i think its an in built mechanism that protects the heart ie the one inch punch watch Zidane when he head buts that footballer in the chest a lot of people was saying he put that on but he really did fly .But be careful they can trip up and hit there head
Threats to commit criminal damage (run over the drone), Sect 5 Public Order (middle finger at you), Common Assault (getting in your face), and the criminal offence for not displaying the SIA licence. All in all, great trip out DJ!
DJ you are so good at what you do and it really irritates me when you bring that tool along with you. PJ is clearly a bit slow and he brings the quality of every interaction down. He's argumentative and unreasonable and i'd much rather be watching you speak to people
@@sojourn6697 He knows confrontation equals views equals ads equals cash ... he hasn't got the personality of DJ (who has seen his polite interactions get good feedback) so PJ provokes a row ie refuse to leave when asked. You’ve the patience of a saint DJ ! Advancing on someone like he did , just what was he expecting? Glad PJ got the other angled video view of the situation. Keep up the good work!
Aye, the way handled that by pushing him back was fantastic in my opinion. You did warn him plenty to stay back. Also in my opinion, he kept coming towards you after the first push, knowing full well he was being intimidating. As PJ said, he was goading you on. Alot of people would have decked him, but you stood your ground while (unfortunately) *having* to physically keep distance. 👍
Very, very unprofessional & aggressive behaviour by that idiot DJ. You acted completely within your rights in defending yourself. Awful, threatening behaviour 😧. Certainly not painting his company in a good light 😮
14:10 Doesn't require the person committing assault to actual touch before someone responds in self defence. You can be the first to make physical contact and it can still be self defence if you make your move in response to a potential threat or felt in imminent harm or danger. So his words mean nothing in defending himself against a charge of assault. Then along with the repeated requests by yourself for the manager to stop approaching means you are being repeated assaulted. Each approach is an assault. I would recommend phoning the police on 101 and lodging it as a crime and getting a crime reference. Then initiating a civil claim to Taylor Wimpy for compensation. Around £1k would be reasonable for the assault, plus the attitude, plus the demands to stop filming in breach of your article 8, 14 and 17 human rights, plus the lack of SIA badge
"The boys are back in town" ... Good to you two back together .. What we really need is a DJ / PJ / AB / Reggie Photo collaboration... That would be an awesome video.. 💯💯💯💯
Kudos to you sir. Probably the most polite and articulate auditor about. Haven't seen you once in the many of videos I've watch lose your cool and you were totally in your right to protect your personal space.
Massive turn off for Taylor Wimpey watching this. As a prospective property buyer, this seals the fate for me. No to Taylor Wimpey homes. This reinforces the reviews I have seen for the business online. Steer clear.
I suspect you know this, but the problem is, if you keep hanging around on their site trying to talk to them after they've repeatedly asked you to leave, you risk being accused of aggravated trespass which absolutely is an arrestable criminal offence. You can obviously argue the grounds for that, but people have been dragged away for less. Personally I wouldn't have done that. If they ask you to leave, my approach would be to leave immediately. Usually they won't be able to resist following you anyway to have a further go. Obviously the guy then turns into a prick and in my view the shove was reasonable. But at the point he was saying "leave and shoot from outside the gate," his interpretation was totally correct.
That's useful to know about the self defence thing because I thought you would have to get struck by the other person before you could defend yourself, but seeing it doesn't have to be just that is quite good to know. Another nice video once again, I prefer you doing these audits solo, but otherwise, nice video. :)
They don't need to strike u to use self defense. U can use it if they get in ur face like he did with DJ as long ad u don't hit them and just push them back they can't do nothing
Actually you're perfectly within your rights to strike them down. The force has to be reasonable. He came back twice after being pushed the first time. No court in England would say that on the second approach, if he had been knocked clean unconscious, that it wasn't self defence. Plenty of precedent.
Funny how you only get into bother when you are with PJ🤔 your great DJ , he just makes you 2 look bad if you ask me .....he has absolutely no decorum ,,....

Your actions were correct and completely lawful. Sad that hes got to go home with a broken phone though. Such a shame all around. Wish he wouldn't have pushed his luck!
Perfect use of self defence for the UK.
