Geez I just purchased one of these, and like you want something that will last for centuries! I still have a 1960's blender my great grandmother bequeathed me when she passed, and it still functions like new. I am considering canceling my order after watching your review.
@ Bruce Benik, Turn off the damn music! Can't you figure out that it's drowning out your voice???????????????????????????????????????????? But, excellent review. Good to know information about the durability of this machine which I WAS considering buying. Thank you.
At this time, I was living in a small apartment in Seattle in a loud part of town. I was editing by feel in a way. Check out "Casey Judson is Dead" the audio was better in this piece with the exception of a couple of pieces where the lav mic got blown out.
Well thinking about buying one. Has the company reached out to you pertaining to your concerns? I think they're moving in the right direction; perhaps they just need to go back to the drawing room to tweak it some more. I'm still on the fence; 600 dollars is a large investment for a machine that comes with a 2-year warranty. My vital mix is still strong after ten years of use, only had to replace the blender once. Hope this company can make this a better product; thanks for the information.
I have always had trouble with the lid and they would not give me another lid, they said I had to buy another lid. It has been very hard for me to open the lid with my rheumatoid arthritis of 23 years. I have hardly used it. I am going to try to use the smoothie bowl now after a year of hardly using it. I found a lady on UA-cam who calls it the Beast, yes it is beastly!
@@caligoldgenetics354 It's a $500 appliance, and they have recipes on their site for smoothies and frozen desserts. It seems bonkers that using it as directed could cause those issues. I'd be way more inclined to get something in the $100 range that doesn't break in 8 months.
You put frozen CO2 in a plastic container of what is essentially a food processor and are complaining that the bowl came apart?!? You are lucky that it didn't come apart while blending, and certainly that the blades didn't crack out and get slung through the bowl wall!
I’ve had it for a couple of years. I love it. No issues like this.

I understand that things made in the USA in the 50's and 60's were well made. A far cry from the stuff that's churned out today by unskilled labor.

But what is the alternative? Based on the products I have seen there are few alternatives.

You should probably send them the video…

Absolutely nothing is made the way they made them back in the 50s or 60s. That’s for sure.
I cancelled my order. The quality looks poor
Mine is working well after two years of use
Thanks.
Music. Can barely hear u.
Darn, just purchased one.
It does work good just don’t put frozen stuff in it
Super easy and effortlessly makes almond, coconut, hemp milks and so good. Saves me time from the way I used to make it in a juicer and blender

Don't use mine that much still in box might sell it now
I would buy it. How much would you sell it for? Lol

I have higher standards.
