Have you ever tried to make homemade nut milk or nut butter? If so, how did it go?
Rican Vegan yes it was a bit time consuming but tasted delicious. There’s another machine called Almond cow have you seen it? Which one do you recommend?
@@monicavelazquez3652 I have seen the Almond Cow machine and it looks like a good machine too. I know when you use the Almond Cow machine to make milk it leaves behind a lot of nut pulp after you strain the milk. You can use the pulp in other ingredients to not waste it since nuts are expensive but the Nutramilk doesn't leave any nut pulp in the machine after you strain the milk. I prefer not to have a lot of pulp leftover when I make milk because I don't want to waste it if I don't have anything to make with it. With the Almond Cow you have to presoak the nuts before you put them in the machine and with the Nutramilk you don't. If you don't want the deal with the leftover pulp and presoaking the nuts then I say go with the Nutramilk if you don't mind having the leftover pulp and soaking the nuts beforehand then go with the Almond Cow.
+Rican Vegan, could we make soy milk f we cooked the soy in something else, and after that blend the soy in the nutramilk and add water? Thanks.
I think that could work. The machine doesn’t get hot enough on its own to cook the soybeans in it. I would recommend letting it cool down before putting it into the machine to blend it.
Hi +Rican Vegan. Whatif we cook the soy beans in a cooker and after that puree the beans and add water in the nutramilk? Thanks
Useful review. Thanks!
Thank you for a great honest review, thantuou formot xoming across like a salesman
Very informative vlog
For the hazelnut-chocolat butter I add some coconut oil and I leave it on the kitchen cupboard instead of the fridge. And then it strays creamy.
Best review!!!
I am glad you liked it!
Such a well done and informative video! I have made my own nut milk and nut butters at home before and yea....it's SO much mess and so much work. This would probably be great for cashew cheese too!
Thank you! It might just work for a spreadable cashew cheese.
Check out the Chefwav maker. Might be a bit pricey, but what it does is worth the money. !
Thank you for your review. I made peanut butter in a food processor, it was fantastic and tast amazing but becuase I was making large quantities, the mixture warmed up becuase of grinding and the food processor plastic compartment melted and not working anymore. I am thinking of investing in Nutramilk machine
I like ur UA-cam name RICAN VEGAN, lol. I’m Cuban, I totally relate. Thanks 4 being a PB Latina!
Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching my video!
You could make soy milk. Just soak and cook normal, blend in a food processor, then let cool (just to not put hot in the nutramilk bowl) and make the milk normal.
Good video. Subscribed 👍
Thank you so much! I’m glad you liked it!
Great machine what country was this machine made please?
Actually the CEO for Nutramilk said in an interview that you can make soymilk with it just takes an extra step of heating the ingredients first
Hi
is it possible to store all kinds of nut butter ?
what should i do to store them ? and how long it can be stored ?
regarding the nut milk , can i store them as constipated milk tubs in the refrigerator ? so I don't have to do the same frequently
What would you say about the cleanup?
What about cleaning it? You say it has a separate compartment for straining the milk (if i understand right). How hard is it to clean that, and the main glass bowl?
Hi Rican,
I just received my NutraMilk machine. I noticed that it says that the nuts must be dry before making the butter. So this raises the question: if I want to make a second batch of nut milk, do I need to clean the Mixing Basin and Inner Filer before making a second batch?
Since this review recipe for soy milk has been developed. It’s a lot of work compared to then out or oat milk, but doable.
Can I purchased new one in India
Can do all this with slow juicers - plus the juicer produces juice!
Lucky you that you got it for free because it costs an arm and a leg $499.95 on Amazon & £499 in the UK. You should have mentioned the exorbitant price. Wish I could afford it. 😭
One thing I don't understand: you say that there is not residue when you make milk with the nutramilk. So, I suppose it means that the "flour" left is used in the making of the milk. Doesn't that make the milk gritty? I am sure it makes the milk taste more fatty too, since everything is used up in the almond.
Never heard of this machine but wow looks like it does some cool stuff.
It's a nice machine and it can make a lot of cool stuff in one machine.
Looks really nice yeah.
Hi Desiree, I have 2 questions for you: 1) Did the cashewmilk taste gritty at all? 2) Where did the nutmeal go? Is it in the base? How do you get it out/clean it out? Thanks for the video.
The cashew milk didn’t have a gritty taste. It’s very smooth. Most of the nut meal gets mixed into the milk so there is minimal nut meal that is left behind. If there is any nut meal it stays on the bottom of the container.
Hi can you make soy milk in this if I’m using pre cooked and cooled soy beans?
You might be able to since they are already cooked. Just make sure that they are dry before putting them in the machine since the extra water can alter the taste of the milk.
How does the machine do with almond milk? Cashew milk is just as easily made in a blender because the nuts pretty much disappear into the liquid.
It does really well with the almond milk. I add the almonds to the machine without soaking them ahead of time and it's able to chop them down easily.
Does this do as well as using a nut milk bag for almond milk
Yes it does.
I would love to have this machine too, but the $500 price tag is just too big for my budget. 😢
i agree its awesome but for $421 usd it seems like a little too much for just 1 or 2 people.
however if i was still achef at the vegan restaurant i worked at, this would absolutely essential.
Can this make rice milk for coquito and such?
Yes it can make rice milk too.
Instead of chocolate chips , how about natural pure cacao?
Yes you can use pure cacao as well. I had non-dairy chocolate chips on hand that I needed to finish up.
I like it but for the price I’m taking a Vitamix
Can i use it for tigernut milk
I've never tried making tiger nut milk with it but I think it would work the same. If the tiger nuts are too hard you can soak them for a little before putting them in the machine.
Can I use this for soy beans milk
You can't use it for the entire soy milk process because that requires heating the milk after you blend the water and soy beans. This machine doesn't heat up the milk to the temperature it needs to be in order to finish making the milk. You can use it to blend the soy beans and water together and strain it. You would just have to heat the strained milk on the stove.
Regan vegan, I like the machine, where can I purchase it.
There is a link in the description where it says to learn more about The Nutramilk and there it will show you where you can purchase one.
@@RicanVegan I checke the link but unfortunately it is not available in my country Nigeria, is there another way?
Maybe you can contact them directly to see if they can possibly ship one to you in Nigeria or refer you to a distributor you can purchase it from.
Wrong, your nut butter hardened because you added cocoa fats which harden when cooked. Nutella is made with cocoa powder and sugar, not with whole chocolate.
Nice can it make coconut milk
Yes it can! They recommend using the young thai coconut when making coconut milk with this machine.
Rican Vegan. Ok thanks
Why would the nut butter be better than Vitamix? Maybe if you used fewer nuts & more water in the Vitamix, you could just use a simple strainer & drink it? Or you could just add a little water to raw nut butter from the store & mix together. You could buy quite a lot of nut butter for $500, and you still have to pay for the nuts AND the Nutramilk, anyway.
Why didn’t you grind the chocolate the same way?
I'm almost sure it wouldn't get hot enough to melt it-and it's all plastic, so if the gears were working hard enough/getting hot enough to melt chocolate, it would destroy the machine/warp every bit of plastic! Cocoa butter's melting/liquid point is around 95 degrees Fahrenheit (coconut oil about 77F); compare that to almond oil that is still liquid well below freezing point (0 degrees F). It's why chocolate chips that are nothing but cacao beans and sugar have quite a bite to them). I get 2-component hazelnut chocolate butter at the store in the giant hefty butter makers that have heavy-duty grinders, and those get everything quite hot which this machine absolutely couldn't handle-those are all steel except some store display ones have the nuts visible through durable clear plastic. What this produces is a bit more pasty than the kinds made with the help of heat, but the oils can blend in pretty well for things with high fat content that don't have too much skin (ie walnuts have to have the skin removed which is a hassle and this can't likely handle seeds, either).
Oat milk????
Can you make the soy milk and boil it after?
You CAN make soy milk if you pour it into a pot and cook it.....
xxAniko or for easier alternative you can cook the pre soaked beans before and use them once cooled
It’s very expensive
