I’ve spent a lot of time around golf courses and driving ranges in my life and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve heard a golf ball hit like this.
Drive for show, putt for dough. If it were that easy every person who competes in those long drive competitions would be professionals instead of sideshows.
@@madskrillz2 exactly. Those 400 yard hitters are very good golfers. Just not pros. If you can swing that hard and keep it all together, you’re a low handicap or scratch golfer.
He would piss hotter than secretariat, but he is an unbelievable athlete. WHAT A FANTASTIC SWING! He also has the fastest recorded throw in MLB history at 105.4 mph. Total stud.
Incredible power but what's way more impressive is his golf swing. For him to generate that much club head speed and yet be so balanced throughout his swing all the way to the finish is very rare. I'm a PGA teaching Pro who's been at it for 35 years and I'm blown away by this guy's skills.
Naw. They never develop the full game - too hypnotized by the big drive. When I was a kid - 12 yrs old - and a junior state golfer there was a rumor of a huge hitter somewhere in the state. (This was before internet - persimmon woods). Turned out to be true. He was 16 and when he connected he could drive 340 yd par 4’s greens. More often than not the drives landed in the wrong fairway. I couldn’t drive 200 yds. At 12 I was small for my age lol. I never lost against him. He’d just get more and more pressed and swing harder and harder. I’d get down in 2 from 50 yards in 70% of the time. He’d be lucky to get down in 3. I absolutely owned the guy. Ha ha ha. I had the greatest short game I’ve ever witnessed as a kid. A true master taught me. I’d hit 200 wedges a day - minimum. I quit the game at 15 and mostly forgot about it. Years later I moved back to that state and thought about golf and that dude. Googled him. Yep still there and playing - he came close to winning the state amateur several times placing 3rd to 10th. I know why he never won. And why none of the biggest hitters ever will.
These pro baseballers are capable of hitting a baseball 450 feet with a wood bat. The power and explosiveness to be able to do that is hard to comprehend. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see these guys crank 450 yard drives.
@@giftzulu8156 Blind? Because I know that holes are measured along the fairway, not in a direct line to the green, I’m blind? Okay. Do you think this was a 400yd+ drive? I don’t want to burst your bubble, but it was not.
Was like what the fuss and bam the motion through the swing was as immaculate as his swing on a baseball. That was some strength and finishing was just as good as the swing. That was very cool.
Idk where you live, but in America it’s more so a problem of affordable housing, with about 5-600,000 homeless, and over 10 million empty homes that are just owned by banks
As a baseball player that not plays golf i can say, we have an upper hand on swing speed and strength due to years of using our hips and core to swing a bat. Those swing speeds are not sustainable though. We can play that way once a month or so but if we tried to maintain those swing speeds our knees and lower back would be shot in no time. I’ve had to give up the pride and focus on touch. What good is driving 350 and more if you can’t keep it on the fairway or you jack up your back and can’t play next week?
A pro baseball player hitting a golf ball a long long ways is impressive but how about his feathery touch almost holing that chip shot.
