Coverdale, Vai, Vandenberg, Sarzo, Aldridge. Really great lineup.... Legend
❤❤❤
2024, anyone? Dont leave me alone 😅
For sure my friend
And me too 😊🎶🎵🐍🎙️!
Love this!
Here and ready to GEAUX!!!!!
Me fascina, que voz, que fuerza, lo mejor!! ❤🎸🎶
back in time there were real music, no cellphones... just living.
Will never see a group of musicians like this. Coverdale and Via and Vandenberg, Sarzo,Aldridge!! Awesome!
His name is Steve Vai, not Via.
I listened to this song for the very first time, and I absolutely love it. Great song, great vocals, great guitars, and great hair. I was born in 2004, and I grew up in the wrong generation! Today's music sucks, so I go back and discover new songs from bands. Those 2 albums in 87' and 89' were very good!
Agreed. I was born 2003 and the rock music today is lacking energy and of course big hair.
YOUR RIGHT! I GOT MARRIED ON THE LATE 80'S! IT HAD A PROFOUND PLACE IN OUR HEARTS AND THE LOVE OF THE BAND❤
2004 music did not suck. Magna-Fi Burn Out the Stars, thank me later.
Agreed. I'm from 2004 too. The hair is the only thing i don't agreed, xd.
You have listen some of the Whitesnake before 1987 albums? Before the glam hair, when he were a rock & blues band. There are the originals versions of "Here I Go Again", "Fool For Your Loving", "Criying In The Rain"... and other great songs not re-recorded.
Great band for sure born in 88 born dead I was passed on the docs 12 times my dad had a radio in my room he was a rocker boy he could play the doctors were blown away with how I responded to the music being rigged up to so meny devices medical equipment but the music getting me settled down hart rate in stuff lower stableing my vitals and stuff the music of the 70,s 80,s was by far the best this garbage of today is just trash
I've said this before on here but I gotta say this again. Why can't they make music like this again?? Do many people still live it. I'm 62 and I lived through the 80s and 5 more decades but the 80s was the best. Even people who weren't even born then love the music. Also imo the 80s produced the best movies too for example The Breakfast Club, Ferris Buelers Day Off, Caddy shack, Batman, Rambo the list is endless. At least we can come here on utube and for a little while we can go back to the best decade ever. And yes damnit I still think big hair is sexy. Can I get a Amen anyone?
political correctness killed all the good stuff
Preach
Amen!!
Bill Williams have u heard of halestorm?
@@TheJameskies Oh Yeah love them. Lizzy's hot as hell I think. Love her song Misery.
Damn. I was 14 when this album came out. I am still blasting this music in my truck and my house at 43 years old.
Here I am, too, Aquiles Cortez, my soul mate. Born in 1975, have no truck, but I like trucks so much (in 2002, had Peugeot Boxer, I can only imagine what a vibe is to drive truck and listen "Slip of the Tongue")....About this song, one of my all time favourite AOR/Melodic rock song. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!
Aquiles Cortez me too
I was 17 when it came out. Still blasting it at 47 will be still be blasting it when I'm 97.
43 too me too nice brother
I'm 44 & still rocking!!!
I loved the 80s! Great music, big hair, beautiful girls!
Some of us still are😎 I just turned 53 and STILL love my Whitesnake♥️💋
@humpnightelves lol
Thank you! I rocked the big hair back in all of the 80's and half of the 90's. Today's music sucks! It will NEVER EVER be like this again. Thankful for UA-cam and oldies radio stations. I can't believe our music from then is considered oldies or classics
I was born at 78. But a love this music, because it real. Real life and real love))))
I’m 48 and still love there songs like the 80’s. DC 4ever
One of the best voices in rock music, one of the best bands! 2024 and still listening!!!
underrated track
Everything whitesnake is severely underrated
Sadly theres no live footage for this song in concert i think the band played it very few times.
Totally agree. Love this song.x
HERE WE ARE IN 2023 STILL ENJOYING THE GREAT MUSIC OF THE 80S IVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO ATTEND MANY CONCERTS OVER THE YEARS, ID HAVE TO SAY SEING WHITESNAKE IN THE LATE 80S IN PHILLY WAS AMAZING!!!
I envy you.
One of the only bands I never saw. I did see Coverdale page. That was awsome but not like this
That was the best era of music!
I missed the 80's version of white snake. Glad I still got to see Coverdale in 15👍
2024 and as long as good music lives
Whitesnake with Vai and Vandenberg. Sheer ultimate power.
damn right man Steve Vai, and the flying dutchman and cozy powell on drums and was it not rudy zarzo on bass? one of the greatest lineup in hardrock even it was short lived.
Nah, Sykes was the man!!!
@@dannymcmince agreed Sykes over Vai any day !!! And I like Bernie Marsden from the original lineup. More of the blues sound that I like especially from their Ready and Willing album
bigmaxy07 nothing on John Sykes.
@@265308 Answering little late I know.... But here''s Tommy Aldridge on Drums, Cozy Powell had Emerson , Lake & Powell going on I think,....during this Periode. EXCELENT Drummer though !! Powell is a LEGEND on his own !!
LYRICS:
Now you're gone
I can feel my heart is breaking,
An' I can't go on
When I think of the love that you've taken
In the night I pray for your embrace,
Every time I close my eyes
I can't escape your face
You're out of sight,
But, always on my mind,
I never realized
My love could be so blind
You're all I want,
Can't you feel the love
In this heart of mine
You're all I need,
So maybe we could turn back
The hands of time,
Maybe we could give it another try
One more time
But, now you're gone
There's an emptiness closing around me,
An' I can't go on
When all I have left is the memory
In the night I call out your name,
I wake up in a cold sweat
An' I'm all alone again
I need your love
Much more than I can say,
I realize without you
I can't face another day
You're all I want,
Can't you feel the love
In this heart of mine
You're all that I need,
Since I lost you, girl,
I've been losing my mind
You're all that I want,
So maybe we could turn back
The hands of time,
Maybe we could give it
Another try
One more time,
Baby, just one more time
Now you're gone
I can feel my heart is breaking,
An I can't go on
When all of my love has been taken
You're all I want,
Can't you feel the love
In this heart of mine
You're all that I need,
Since I lost you, girl,
I've been losing my mind
You're all I want,
Can't you feel the love
In this heart of mine
You're all that I need,
Since I lost you, girl,
I've been losing my mind...
¡Muchas gracias!
Best band lineup ever: David Coverdale, Steve Vai, Adrian Vandenberg, Tommy Aldridge, Rudy Sarzo and Vivian Campbell. Man what a show and the girls, wow
Rock&Rollers John Sykes would have taken this album into the stratosphere. Unfortunately it’s now one of those what could have been...
@@basscom77 yes
Actually, the best Whitesnake lineup had Cozy Powell and Jon Lord in it, but okay, youngblood...
best line up was David Coverdale, John Sykes, Neil Murray and Cozy Powell
Nah Vai made this Album legendary
Whitesnake is so underrated, David coverdale is one of the best heavy metal vocalist, he has a good voice
.....it s not underrated????, one of the best bands ever !!!
Sabah Zarid 😆
not really underatted
He's still a great looking man too! ♥️☺️🤘
He had would be better seen them last year and sadly Coverdale is done his voice is gone
Every whitesnake song is truly amazing
Whitesnake is criminally underrated
One of the best rock songs to close the 80s (1989)
As you can see there is no cellphone. only lighter .I miss the 80s
Who's watching/listening in November 2019???
For the whole of my life...

trinity trin I love Whitesnake! I use to put the top down on my convertible & listen to this whole CD!
absolutely a masterpiece
Is that charm up front row, really you? Wow...
Wow that's you?
where in the video are you? =)
David Coverdale is the best fucking great singer of the Universe!
A lot of people would argue about that.
Have you listened to singer of Steelheart? What a voice he has to.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You said it 4 sure 💜
Just love this stuff! I’m definitely still stuck in the 80’s.... Whitesnake was and still are a powerful band
We're stuck in the 80s because the 80s is the last decade for good music.
David Coverdale rocks! - What a man! What a voice! This track sounds like it should've been included on the Original 'Top Gun' soundtrack in 1986 - Has that vibe to it 🤘 👍🤘
From a time when we knew what a woman was, and how awesome they were.
Umm, I kinda still know what a woman is. It's not really that hard to tell
I am in this video, just a glimpse. I had to watch the video over and over. Some of the footage was recorded at Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Even a hollywood director can't make a better video than this.
My husband favourite band rip in peace love 1st of February 2024😢

"Can't you feel the love in this heart of mine?" MIGHTY WORDS!!!
David Coverdale seriously has the voice of gods. 🤘🏻
Music from the end of a great era.
I think this is the most beautiful song. Ever. There I said it.
The opening solo always gives me chills
A few months ago a girl I feel for left me to move far away. I will never see her again. This song really expresses how I feel. Now she is gone and I don’t know what to do or how to live without her
GREAT SONG GREAT BAND FOREVER..................MY FAV BAND....
Dude... Freaking love the hooks and melodies in this song. Both Vai and Vandenberg's guitar playing are perfect.
Ya if took the two of them to play Sykes parts...lol
@@tangerinerose3724all the guitars on the album were Vai. I love Sykes, but don’t discount Vai because Coverdale was half nuts.
For the period 1984-1989, whitesnake were the best metal band!
@Taurus Male OK, lets say something between hard rock and heavy metal
My aunt nunny got to see them live in 1988 this was her favorite song she died in 2012 from cancer I love her so much I miss you nunny 😪😥😭
😢
Very sorry for your loss.

David Coverdale could not look more amazing and the band are amazing!! xxxx

Saw both the Whitesnake and Slip of the Tongue tours and still some of the best concerts I have ever seen....Also...that is Glenn Hughes on backing vocals.
Can never get tired of this album! Vai!!!
This is one of my favorite songs from the Slip Of The Tongue album
I'm glad i saw them live in their most successful Tour "87" and on this particular Tour and Album that Followed in "1990" those were the Best years Ever🤘. Saw Whitesnake in late 2000 and that was pretty Cool too!❤

I was there also...Spectrum, (RIP) I was 20 or 21yrs old....
I can't remember when this song came out I'm 52 will you please let me know
I totally envy you. I saw them at Parx Casino back in early 2019. They sounded good but I'd love to travel back to their prime.
Fantastic. Brings back so many memories... A "signature" lick from Steve in his solo... Awesome!
Amazing singing and performance! Love all the big hair style and the band is awesome! I have been a fan when David was singing in Deep Purple. David has that rock and roll, deep graspy voice. He knows when to go high and low. And he sings with so much emotion. A great rock star!
Whitesnake...their music is HEAVEN to my ears!!
I love them..
They are the best...
I missed them!!
Always impressed by this song, especially the intro and solo, and...the hairstyle of these guys.
Ive gone back to wearing my hair big again.. have naturally curly I LOVE IT
I wear my hair big whenever possible. Let it shine, hon!
This video perfectly captures the era. The big big rock show.
Outstanding!
Does this song not have more meaning now that TAWNEY has passed on to the spirit world 💔
I cannot help but to think of her during this whole video Even though they David and Tawney had moved on decades ago.. it makes me want to cry cause she REALLY IS GONE 😩💯💔
Aaah,those were the days!
This song and album were PEAK Whitesnake, it doesn't get any better than this right here!
you obviously never heard the "1987" album
@@theabysmalfiend No, I have that one too. It's okay. Just not on the same level.
Amazing band. Many of their songs area about breakups , and heartache. Been there, and done that, and Whitesnake has been with me!
I never tire of White snakes music and he is rocking in Manchester in May!!
After leaving Deep Purple. David Coverdale seems more relaxed. As well Partying all Night. Great Concert here in Edmonton in 87 or 88 Promoting the Whitesnake Album.
I was in college when this awesome album came out and I dedicated to my then girlfriend. We broke up, but this album eternally rocks often on my Pandora Whitesnake station.
This album is great. I never knew why this Album never took off like the previous.
Steve fucking vai and they flying dutchman vandenberg , these two are a amazing duo
better than Vivian ?
I was 10 years old when I've fallen in love with this album, specially with this song. I'm 36 now and I never get tired to listening this masterpiece.
