Started on Burn in 75 and worked my way through each and every Whitesnake record as my life unfolded, girl friends, wives, friends and times gone by. Somehow I missed this record and particularly this song. To discover it now in the twilight of this existence is a joy and to say that I’m haunted by this tune is an understatement.

David, I know you’ve hinted that your pre-Slide It In albums are difficult to get access to, but I really think it would be worth working out the legality of it to remaster those classic albums today. There are just so many awesome songs to be resurrected and shared with a whole new audience. Plus it’s an important part of your legacy 🤘

It has long been reported that the master tapes of all the early (pre-SII) Whitesnake albums are "lost". I am sure that whoever had them would have been cashing in big-time in the late 1980's with remastered versions if the master tapes existed, but they didn't, so I fear it is true - the master tapes really are are lost.
At this point, as they have never surfaced, I can only assume that "lost" means "destroyed", as they haven't been found in a dusty closet anywhere in the past 30 years. :(

All the pre-Geffen albums were remastered with extensive liner notes and photos in the early 2000s noob.

Soooo glad to see this LP getting it's just deserves - I thought this was such a breath of fresh air from the corporate vocal high screams and shredding guitars he was having to give into throughout the late 80s early 90s - See I was listening to "Cryin In the Rain" and "Fool for Your Loving" off the original LPs (Saints & Sinners / Ready & Willing) way before the rest of America heard "Slide It In" - His soulful bluesy voice was easy on the ears and the line up he had back then (with Marsden, Moody, Murray, Lord & Paice) was the best. No denying that his other line ups have been great in their own right but I would much rather hear "Come and Get It" than "Slip of the Tongue" any day. Restless Heart was a lean toward the earlier stuff that I loved. My only wish is that this came out on vinyl in the original version, because that's what I heard first . . . . over and over and over . . . . .

Such a wonderful track. Vandenbergs playing is very stylish and nicely bluesy. Carmassi´s playing is also on spot. Not too busy but just great. DC´s singing is absolutely great again, but even better on this one.
Thought that looked like Denny Carmassi of Heart! Fantastic drummer. And as always, Adrian Vandenburg is an excellent guitarist. DC is the bomb, period!
