Do bees eat pollen or nectar?

- Honey bees are the ultimate pollinators. Almond farmers rely on them. No bees = no nuts. But do the bees actually NEED the pollen that they carry, or is it just incidental?

I love the animated video ❤
I like the bee baby
Perfect explanation! I used to be hired to pollinate almonds with my bees in La Rioja, Argentina, where I live. Greetings! And, good job, like always!
Thank you so much!
Very nice animation. Kids would love to watch such videos and learn
Thank you!
I graduated (Dec 2023) after 3 years of study agriculture and animal husbandry in 🇨🇩. Discovering your channel is such a bliss for me. I wish I knew you before. 🌟
Welcome! So glad you find me. And congrats on your graduation!
Solitary bees do most pollination in this country, and honey bees do do some work, but solitary bees need more attention as their habitat is being lost,
Share some time with the Solitary bees. If they die out, then what?
Great video. I love almonds
THIS MAN IS ASKING THE REAL QUESTIONS.
What a damn coincidence! I came to know yesterday that bee pollen is used as a health supplement. Then True Food TV lady comes out with a banger video about bees and pollen. Can you cover Bee Pollen as a food source next?
Yeah, I'll have a look into it!
Bees are special
Two things impressed me here: the baby bee in a blanket and nutlets, a term totally new to me. Thanks, Nicole!
Yeah, "nutlets" -- what the farmers call them! Fun, right?
My kinda video, short and sweet!
Are the words nutlets and green almonds used interchangeably among growers? I’ve read that young green almonds have a sorta grape-like texture and pair well in salads, but I’ve never had the pleasure of trying. Great video, always learning something new! 🙌 🐝
I've always wanted to try young green almonds myself! Unfortunately we weren't there for the right season.
Nice!

That's honestly the best response 😁
I love your videos but i keep getting notifications up to 3 times on the same video even though I have watched it. I would prefer only getting one per video. Thanks
Theresanother way of pollinating, when the pollen is developed, fly an airplane just over the trees to circulate the pollen in the air.
I'm at the point with UA-cam where I absolutely refuse to watch shorts no matter what creator makes them.
I wish people would stop caving to the UA-cam algorithm. We have the cumulative power to counter corporate pushes to maximize profits (in this case pushing shorts to maximize ad profit) by rejecting short term gains and accepting the initial losses to preserve the only long form video platform that exists. Anybody who doesn't agree with this statement is a UA-cam ad sellout.
