I watched this match in a pub here in Cork. The local lads were great hosts. I never felt that this match was decided until the last minute. The 7 point difference doesn't mean much as it could have gone either way with two of the calls being decided by mere fractions of a second. Well done both team for giving is a great match with a load of respect both ways.

From an Irish persepctive, it's fair to say we were disappointed by some of our missed tackles leading to scores and some of the individual performances were maybe not up to par, but in all honesty anything other than your very best will not be enough against SA nine times out of ten. But playing the World Champions in their backyard and competing for victories or trophies is where we want to be, and we should be proud that we've brought Irish Rugby to a place where we're rarely out of the top 3 in the world rankings. Congrats South Africa. You're a class act, and it's a pleasure to watch you play any team. And I guess we'll see you next weekend and hope that we can tie the test and come away with a victory in Durban. Either way, whoever wins next weekend it will be a well earned victory. Well done again SA.

Huge fight from Ireland to stay in the contest and push the boks to within a score. They were really getting monstered for alot of that game but kept coming back and youd be silly to bet against them levelling the series next week. ABs and England both looked good at times and as a kiwi i thought we were lucky but a win is a win and with the clean out we've had itll probably be several games before we see where we are really at. No scoughing at a win over a solid emerging english team though.

There were two disallowed tries from Ireland, both went to TMO and the first one specifically was a brilliant try, worth seeing the skill and the decision which was knife edge. Saying that SA were worth their victory, specifically from first half. Much looking forward to next week.
These editors never learn, rugby is more than just tries and goalkicks. It's the contest and what leads up to a try or penalty kick. Most of the time the "highlights" are snapshots if the scoring. That said, these snapshots are still way better than what the URC dishes up.

Seeing Ireland keep the ball in to allow Kolbe to score was brilliantly funny. Also when the bomb squad came on you could feel the crowd lift best atmosphere I have felt. Every second minute they sang “Rassie”
Felt the boks left a few points out there off the kicking tee, and lifted the foot off the gas near the end, hoping to see an even more energetic 2nd test
If you look at the stats, both teams were equal in pretty much every facet of the game, SA were lucky to get the 2nd try and should never have been in position to win the penalty try (obviously can't complain about the actual penalty try itself it was an insane scrum) so really i think the scoreline was a good reflection of the whole game

Both teams gifted tries to one another. It was dead even for over half of that game. Scoreline didn't flatter us in any way.

If you look at the stats, both teams were equal in pretty much every facet of the game, SA were lucky to get the 2nd try and should never have been in position to win the penalty try (obviously can't complain about the actual penalty try itself it was an insane scrum) so really i think the scoreline was a good reflection of the whole game
