- Learning targets, essential questions, lesson goals...they're all supposed to help students understand the point of the lesson. But over the years, I've noticed that mine have gotten a little stale. Here's how to introduce the element or surprise into your learning targets to make them more engaging for students.

also I loveeee how your videos are short and to the point they are super helpful
Oh that is so kind of you to say! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and provide feedback. 💗
As an instructor of pre-service teachers, I needed a starting point for their portfolios and I stumbled on to you. Tick tock...a few videos later..."oh, that's a cute hair cut!"..."1994 Brad Pit!" LOVE.
Hahaha! Love it. And I think you did a wonderful job describing me. 😂
And please let me know if there are any video topics that you or your teachers would find helpful. I’m always looking for content ideas.
So good! Thank you!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching! ☺
1992, but I don't remember as I was a toddler, so the sentiment still stands hahaa.
Haha! Love it! 😆
What clues in the story Encanto tell you what country Marabel and her family are from?
Perfect! And my students and I LOVE that film. 🥰🦋
using charlotte's web:
identify when and where the story takes place -->
which clues show us where wilbur, charlotte, and friends might be living?
do you think fern and her family live in the 2020s? why or why not?
OMG I love it! 🤩 So clever to play with the timeline for the question. 🙌
Are you someone who tries to plan out the full year? If so, how do you do that? month to month ?
Oh, man, I wish I could do that! I mean, I have a basic outline for the year based on unit planning and our district pacing guide. However, I only lesson plan one or two weeks at a time. I make a lot of adjustments based on student performance, interest and any re-teaching I may need to do. If I plan too far out, I end up having to make too many changes. But that's a great question! 🤗
