I would just like to mention that the only things I think you did wrong were that you disturbed the active termites and said it would have a 8 years barrier any company wouldn't give more than a 5-year guarantee. The concentration of the chemical was a bit low (example)in 200 litres you put 1 liter of fipronil meanwhile we put 1.2 liters and our fipro in also 10 percent meanwhile yours was 9.1 also I would like to mention on a barn like that you would have to use at least 400 litres of diluted chemical also our injecting rods go deeper than 6 inches and we do trench with the rods apart from that I think you did a excellent job and I was quite impressed by how you did it.
Great video! I have never had to deal with termites but now i know how to. Thanks for of your how to videos it really helps out. Keep up the good work buddy!
My home is made out of concrete, bricks and cement. My neighbors share walls with me and there are no earth/soil around the perimeter. Just asphalt and pavement, so it is impossible to dig a trench around the house. What is the best way to get rid of the termites inside the house? I suspect the termites got into my house on wings... in the form alates. How do I get rid of them?
You can spray fipronil on bare or porous wood too, it soaks in and if drywood termites eat the wood, they die. It also controls Asian beetle infestations.
Great video! Have you heard of BioAdvanced 700350A Termite Killer Home Perimeter Treatment Ready-to-Spread Granules? It does not require digging; just sprinkle and water. Do you think it is as effective as fipronil?
Does this technique only create a barrier? What about the active termites higher up in the barn? And is this only effective for subterranean termite species?
Fipronil also treats bare wood. It soaks into the wood and when drywoods eat it, they die. I've sprayed this stuff all over my house and on my unvarnished wood furniture.
i was thinking of making bait stations with carboard and soda bottles to kind of seal the top but not the bottom. and soaking the carboard in the diluted mix of Taurus sc. idk im still thinking about it.
I don’t think so but didn’t research that very well as mine are clear. This is the same stuff used by the big companies trenched around most houses in the US so Idoubt it.
OK for flowers/ornamentals. Do not use in vegetable garden or on fruit trees. Does not kill plants. It is a termiticide, also kills other commercial and household pests such as ants and cockroaches.
It’s the generic version but still not cheap! Ha! No license required anymore bought in this bear bottles. Good for 8-10yr. Doing the house perimeter next!
RidgeLife Yeah I do Termite treatments and I use Termidor cause they provide a warranty Incase a retreat is needed and you are right it’s not cheap lol Have you ever done the bait station before some homeowners go with that option it’s interesting how they work
Ha! I think hydrogen cyanide is a little more dangerous even when used properly than fipronil. Check out the MSDS for fipronil. Fairly harmless is most situations.
I am a beekeeper and have colonies within 20yds of this barn where I treated profusely. All bees were fine for the following year. Now, I guess if I poured it on them... Ha!
Wow. I had no idea what was involved treating or preventing termites. It does look like hard work.
We made fairly quick work of it on a weekend! Thanks!
I've been seeing termites in my soil. Thanks for this very helpful vblog!
My pleasure! Good luck!

Thank you very much for the info and your comment!

Happy to help!
I love your barn so much I can't wait to paint it... Great job brother
Can't wait! Thanks!
Great to know. I try to do as much as I can ourselves. This will really come in handy.
Glad it was helpful! Take care!
Thanks, very informative video.
My pleasure!
Thanks for this video. Very interesting. Fipronil is the same ingredient used in Frontline for dogs.
Interesting! I didn't know that. Take care.
Thanks for the video . Have a good weekend
Thank you too!
thank you for sharing, RidgeLife, have a good day and night there 👍
Thanks, you too!

How do I get rid of them?
There are foams and sprays to help. This product is now authorized for interior use but not sure how to apply it. Sorry.
Thanks for sharing this with us. I appreciate it. Regards Victor 👍
No problem 👍 Thanks!
We don't get them too much here in New York but this was informative.
You are very lucky! Take care!
The rooster authenticates the video. No apologies for him. 🐔
Ha! Thx!

Very nice! Thx
I feel for you brother, termites suck. I am glad we don’t have many in Wisconsin Good luck with the treatment it looks like you’re doing a fine job
Thanks! This should do it for some time!

I have not but will have to look into it! Thx
@@RidgeLife great, let me know what you think.
Does this technique only create a barrier? What about the active termites higher up in the barn? And is this only effective for subterranean termite species?
Yes subterranean only. The ones up in the wood travel back and forth to the colony and through the poison and die.

That sounds cool. I read somewhere they just approved fipronil for indoor non soil use.
What can I buy for inside my house I live flat slab
You can use this around your house. It may have been approved for interior use now as well!
good job! we had termites at our last house and they are terrible! I'll have to remember that product for sure. Hopefully ill never need it!
Very true! They are devastating!
I use Bifen I/T. But its good for killing ants, carpenter bees, anything that eats wood.
That's some good stuff! Thanks.
wear protective sunglasses and gloves. wearing crocks. lol. thank you for showing how much to really use tho.
Ha! I had safety glasses on and heavy chemical gloves on while mixing and handling the chemicals. I am guilty on the crocs though. Ha!
Question- what if you have a lot of plants and flowers around - will they die from this chemical?
I don’t think so but didn’t research that very well as mine are clear. This is the same stuff used by the big companies trenched around most houses in the US so Idoubt it.

That is the cheap crap lol 😂 You got a license for that ? I rod it into the ground so much easier then trenching . 😁

@@frederickschwartz1873 I have the bait station currently. Just had activity for the first time and had treatment.
RidgeLife Cool I like how you do everything yourself drinking buddy 🥃
@@frederickschwartz1873 Oh, yeah! As much as I can! Thanks for being CLASSY!!!
This chemical needs to be banned!
Fipronil is amazing. Why would you want it banned? Has there been any human deaths from it when used properly?
@@RidgeLife No, but has there also been human deaths from zyklon b when used properly?
@@RidgeLife it kills bees. And without bees we have no crops. Without crops, we starve.
